I totally agree, it's so cool listening to classic music on a classic radio! Especially if you can listen to a favorite song that you loved as a teenager on a radio from the same year. It takes you right back to high school! Pure nostalgia. So many good memories!

Very cool. I'm enjoying mine. Took it with me to Yellowstone in late August and it did well for a tiny radio.

Frank Morano on 77 WABC rules! They're new oldies programming is great too! The station turned 100 Years old on oct 1st this year! I live on Long Island in NY, so my main/clear channel local stations are 570 WMCA, 660 WFAN/NBC, 710 WOR, 770 WABC, 880 WCBS, 1010 WINS, and 1130 WBBM.
There is a station on almost every 10kcs in my area during the day, my AM market is booming!
Anyways, its fun hearing my local stations as skip.

I got one to. Nice radio. It does have better sound than my tecsun pl-310ET, Tecsun PL-398BT, and my Ccrane Skywave radio. The sound on this radio does rock

This is one of my favourite radios if not my favourite. I find a wire in the jack improves MW, it may only be coupling up to the ferrite but it definitely improves reception. Airband is surprisingly good as well but LW let’s the radio down from a U.K. point of view. The Xhdata has the same poor performance on LW. 👍🏼

There is a chip that is different in the two. It may not effect longwave though.
I found the R-108 to be a much better performer on Airband than the Xhdata but I know it’s all subjective to location, conditions etc. It matched my Uniden Scanner but obviously slower. The Xhdata was less sensitive on that bandwidth.

18:17 nice 850 KOA! I grew up in Denver and listened to KOA all the time. It's a 50k wat station if I'm not mistaken. Probably too far away for me to pick up here in Tampa.

Having all three, Skywave, 108 and PL-330. The 108 is a great radio for the price. Sounds better than the other two and half as much as either of them. Just with it had NOAA or SSB. ITs my take everywhere radio. If I drop it like I don’t go broke buying another.
The Sihaudon R-108 is indeed an excellent portable considering the sound quality & the price! It's a winner!
good radio but I found myself with a beug this afternoon. When I was changing and reviewing my preset stations the written frequencies would change but the radio would stay on the same frequency and I had to do a reset to fix this
I wish thay would make a Multi Band Radio..that would have VHF and UHF...with Shortwave also SSB mod
Hej Todderbert thanks for the bandscan I do not have SIHUADON R-108 but i have the Radiwow and it's basically the same radio. what i like about my radiowow are many things but the speaker wow. Personally, I actually think Radiowow has a better speaker if I compare it to my Tecsun PL-330. But absolutely I have been thinking about buying the Sihuadon R-108 I own the Sihuadon D-808 and it has amber screen love it. Would love to have Sihuadon R-108 with a amber screen but, I do not know if there is I look around a bit now on the web. Take careTodderbert continue with the wonderful radio job you do it is a pleasure to watch your channel.

@@todderbert Hi again Todderbert do you have any good grease to recommend for, sofirn flashlights to lubricate the threads with or what do you use. I am considering buying NyoGel 760G Synthetic Flashlight Lubricant grease. And I have bought a new battery charger from Sofirn the Vapcell S4 + Smart Charger. It seems to have many good features to maintain and charge batteries. Yes have coffee now and the radio that plays nice, music now for me is the Dreamsky DS-213 it is a dream radio to own take care

an amazing little radio for the price...odd how mine has an amber display and yours is blueish...is there a setting for that?
Mine is a slightly older version, before they made the switch to Amber lighting...yeah I like amber better too.
I have this & downfall is I hear FM bleed through on Air band here & some of the Shortwave band as I am close to a FM tower.
Yeah I could see that being an issue, one I don't have myself I find the airband to be great, I do have an issue though a fairly close FM station to me I listen to occasionally in the evenings doesn't come through clear even though this has fantastic reception overall I have to use a very cheap radio that doesn't get many stations to listen to the show weird that.
A lot of bandwidth options for a radio with no SSB. Still very good and useful. Helps a great deal with the stations as close together as they are.
