The simple fact is he has been played out of position for England & that’s why his performances aren’t at the level they are for City .

This black and white way of looking at football is beyond idiotic. He came on and did what he was asked to do. He was good. He’s not a goalscorer not a creative midfielder.
The guy calling for Saka to play on the left is clueless, its as simple as, "play the players in their best position" . Moving a player that works to a different position that they dont normally play for another who will be out of position is just not the answer, why take Gordon if youre not gonna play him in his best position?
Assessment of Gallagher was off, Trent was getting lost defensively in the second half Rice needed help, Conor broke the game up got fouled a lot and helped see the game out well

People like to have a go at him because it easy that way, but there were others on the pitch that made a lot of mistakes too, stones litterally looked shaky the first minute of the game with the ball

People are moaning about nothing. We never used to win this type of game. No one's ever satisfied with winning nowadays. Trent did ok although he does give the ball away too much. Hopefully he improves but if not we've got options.
@@joggle0 counting the amount of times he gave the ball away could be out of context. Trent sometimes makes long crosses over the pitch which can be more risky so losing it that way isn't the same as giving a pass away to a player next to you. People really want to have a go at trent because either they don't like him or they want another player that plays for their team to play. I can get that trents performance wasnt that convincing but y'all should stop pretending others from the bench would have changed the game that much because the whole team just played bad overall today. And actually trent was one of the only players who tried to have a go at the goal and try to score or create something.

I think Foden was the weak link, great technical player, but unfortunately we needed some width on the left. I am also going to say Rice is massively overrated, is he as good as Tadic, Jorginho, Rabiot? Maybe in the Arsenal team, but for Ingerland, nah man.
Rice protected that defence all night. Why's Tadic in that list? They're completely different players.
Rice was great defensively and barely gave the ball away. Did his job. He was left a bit exposed sometimes, but handled it well... Awful take 😂
For me, Pickford was an issue. Hoofed the ball away 30 times. Luckily we won a few 50/50s off the back of it, but it was putting us under pressure when it made sense to keep the ball and pass out.
Hard to criticise Foden when we're playing completely opposite to his strengths. We basically just low blocked the second half and Foden was being used like a fucking wing back 😂 Infuriating tactical decision, albeit successful in the end 🤷♂️
