Probably, in the year of 2004, the screen of the cell phone wasn't that large like today's smartphones and the data storage was small. The 1st generation of iphone wasn't released until 2007 and I think Apple changed the way we listen and purchase music.
Ain’t that fuckin true. He kills me everytime he does that jerky dance And sings. This song and the great beyond, fall on me and don’t go back to Rockville.
Late to the party on R.E.M. Michael is on of those singers who is organic and sounds the same in any situation. He also displays his love for the songs he wrote as if to say fuck yeah this song is great let’s get a excited about it! Grateful artist 🙏🏼

When I think of this word I never really think of REM. Stipe, Buck, Mills and Berry. In their own right each of them quite accomplished musician, but when you put the four of them together you had a truly synergistic effect. This was evidenced by Berry's departure from the band. Never again were they REM. Don't get me wrong if they still had a few good songs left in them but they, by their own admission, were never the same again without Berry. Their ventures into different styles and sounds, while quite commendable, never recaptured the magic of the early REM. I am glad they kept going as long as they did but I am also just as happy that they hung it up in 2011. When I think of this word I never really think of REM. Stipe, Buck, Mills and Berry. They did a blistering version of this at Live 8 in London. It's on you tube but its' all out of focus. Can anyone post a focused cut of it, it was really good ! Thanks !
I started listening to them when they're on independent label. I feel they peaked when released New Adventures in Hi-Fi. They had commercial success from the late '80s to the beginning of '00 so they are no so much what you call underrated.
All alternative rock bands owe so much to these geniuses. Listen to 1983 murmur, Rolling Stone magazines album of the year. Beating out Michael Jacksons Thriller.
Not sure why, but Michael Stipe always sounds better live. It’s odd. He sounds great on the records, too. But it always seems more raw live, and a bit more raspy.
I am 62 years old and I have to say this is one of the greatest live performances of all time. Look at all those people! Wow!
I'm not 62 years old. My argument trumps your argument
I piu grandi del pianeta, grazie Rem 😍❤️
I più grandi di sempre.
Look at this crowd. Not a single cellphone. Everyone just enjoying the moment.

Yes. What a great audience having fun with the greatest ever REM
Like watching " Friends" again. No cellphones. Great.
its actually so sad that al concerts have now is just a bunch of people standing still
But I bet they would love to have some personal footage just for the sake of reminiscing.
One of the greatest bands ever.
And this is your opinion ..... however your opinion on this is FACT
True, RIP to them.
I want more R.E.M. Miss their beautiful amazing music
Michael Stipe has got to be one of the coolest men on the planet.
Mike Mills is one of the best backing vocalists on the planet too!
Ain’t that fuckin true. He kills me everytime he does that jerky dance
And sings. This song and the great beyond, fall on me and don’t go back to Rockville.
Dont Forget Peter Buck, crucial to that REM sound.
They had it all. Stunning lyrics, hot music, amazing technique.
They still have it !!!!

The clip for this song has only 20 seconds of recording. It's a back and forth.
rendez nous les concerts !!!!!
The song must be recorded this tempo. Much more energetic!
NO PHONES. Just arms raised in ecstasy. Much nicer people than today. I miss those days. Technology ain't all that.
