Luke 2:8-20 | Good News of Great Joy

This time of year reminds each of us of the great desire we have for peace and joy. We all want this, but the question is where and how is it found? Is it found in the hustle and bustle of Christmas? Is it found in lights and gatherings and external things? Or is it found another way? In the announcement of Jesus’ birth in Luke 2:10, angels appear to shepherds and proclaim, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.” Governments can bring peace from war. Economies can bring peace from financial struggles, but only Jesus can bring peace of heart. Join us this Christmas Eve as we remember that true peace and joy comes from trusting Jesus, and that Jesus is good news of great joy for everyone.
