Being a Giants fan is such a hellscape because even when players leave their legacy will stick around and huant us. Barkley leaves, he'll become an MVP candidate with the rival that has tormented us for the last two decades, Daniel Jones gets exiled, the way we handled it will light the lockeroom on fire.
I don't think he's worse than Gettleman but I don't think he's the right man for this job especially since the whole Saquon thing backfired in his face and McKinney, they didn't even bother to try and resign him. He was also the one who gave DJ that contract instead of franchise tagging him which is what they should've done. If I were any giants fan, I would want Joe Schoen fired, I would keep Daboll even though they came together in a package cuz I do think he's a good coach but he's caught up between what ownership wants. His hands are completely tied.
Tommy D. had 21 completions in his first start in a game where his defense couldn't get off the field. Malik Nabers has good cojones, better than Dabol. He speaks for the New York fans.

Look at how Canales has handled a really difficult QB situation in Carolina? He gets brought in to try and turn around the #1 pick QB Bryce Young and benches him after 3 miserable games and plays Andy Dalton!!... That took some big stones IMHO... And it seems like it worked as Young is now playing much better. Daboll should have said NO to giving Jones that contract and instead, paid Barkley. Now he's going to pay with his job.

The future is more important than what is already a lost season. However it's completely understandable why the players are upset. They love DJ and the team wanted to go down swinging with him. If he fails at that then we might actually see a legit conversation about whether he can stay or not. His sole job the rest of this season is to not lose this team
When the GM & HC forced out Wink and let Barkley walk, they lost the heart and soul of this team. They tossed the OL coach out and had to overpay Kafka to stay, avoiding the optics of a full blown mutiny. These guys are a clown show. They can't blame, Wink, Kafka, Bobby Johnson or DJ anymore.
