FIRST CUT SILAGE 2024

- Finally we have our first cut silage video! A very important day in the faming calendar - ensuring a good crop of silage for next Winter's feed.
We show the process from mowing, tedding, harvesting, carting, tipping, rolling, sheeting down. It's such a good feeling to get it all in the pit!!
Silage is cut grass that's carted back to the farm, tipped in a big pile, and covered so that it can ferment ready to feed the cows over Winter.
It took a bit longer than usual this cut!!! All will be explained in the video :D
