Thanks a lot for all the train recommendations between rome and florence and florence to pisa. I managed to secure the best prices using the fast train using trenitalia as you recommended! Now im checking your itinerary for a day plan in each of florence and pisa !!! Big salut to you from Paris! ❤
Great video gentleman, the wife of myself will be in Rome twice in 2025, your info on the train from the cruise port up to Rome was fantastic. Wishing you safe travels wherever you may go
Thanks for this video and glad you had a great Med cruise. I will be in Rome again (YAY) for 2 weeks in mid April. I totally lucked out finding a great airbnb in Trestavere overlooking the Tiber, great price too, super excited. Finally going to do Pompeii and a few other places outside the city. Of course Napoli which I love. Wondering your thoughts on Orvieto and Tivoli?
@lw3158 both towns are really pretty, Orvieto has an amazing duomo but it is a bit far from Rome, about an hour. Tivoli is much closer to the city only 30 minutes and it has two amazing sites Villa D’Este and Adrian Villa.
Awesome informative video, as usual. We all know Rome will be congested with tourists because of the jubilee but what about the other major Italian cities, like Venice, Milan, or Florence?
regarding dress at churches - my sister was denied at St Marks in Venice ( sleeveless dress ) so she wore a sleeved dress to St. Peters - but it was just above her knees ! The nun at the door stopped her. Later that summer there was a news story about a nun who suffered from exhaustion. I’m sure it was her.
Mr. Rick & Mr. Andrea, We arrived in our country from Rome the previous Sunday, i.e. Sunday 12th. January 2025. In all honesty, I found less peeple then February last year. It was much easier to go into Santa Maria Maggiore than during our previous visit. Perhaps wherever we went it was kind of being in the morning.
@@TravelAddictsLife Not colder than it is in my country, so. People might visit later the eternal city. The eternal city is a must visit. There is so much history.
Hello again gentlemen. I have a question regarding the high speed train #9423 that departs from Fiumicino to SMN Florence at 1:53. Does this train run on Sunday? If not, is there another option? As I mentioned once before, we arrive on Sept 21 (Sunday) and what I’m looking for is a high speed train that we can board at the airport and take straight to Florence. I’m hoping the #9423 train runs on Sunday🤞and when should I purchase the ticket? When we arrive? Or a few weeks before?
Hello there, thank you for your comment. In which month are you traveling? It appears that they will start that train on Sunday on March 9th. You can purchase the tickets as soon as you can to get the best price.
Hi Rick and Andrea; thanks for this video as my trip is approaching in February. So you said not to carry too much cash and all debit and credit cards are accepted. Is American Express accepted or should I carry some other credit cards just in case. Also as far as cash is concerned do I carry dollars or convert them to euros or francs( traveling to Lugano too) from US? Thanks in advance
Hey there thank you for your comment. Amex is accepted in most hotels and some restaurants but not everywhere, Visa or Mastercards are accepted everywhere. Brings some euros just a hundred is more then enough.
Rome is overhyped. In fact every Italian city is overhyped. Dear Americans,Chinese & Indian tourists if you're planning Europe trip go to Switzerland & Belgium-netherlands & Santorini. After visiting 19 countries in Europe, these 3 are my personal favourite.
Each of us have our interests in each country. I love Renaissance art, specifically sculpture. The architecture and Roman history is fascinating, the food and wine is also one of my favorite European cuisines. To each their own. Austria is also another favorite of ours, specifically because our parents and grandparents were born there.

It can also be because now it is pretty cold 👍🏻

SMM is THE most beautiful church in Rome!! I visit every time I am there, far better than SPB, IMO.

Will November be super busy for Julibee? If so... I might change plans and go to London.
November will not be as busy as it will be in the summer.
