    Awesome demonstration on a classic. Thread foundation is very misunderstood as far as winding hackle, setting wings etc. Well done!

    Love it. I always thought that the stem or quill body looked better on dry flies.

    very fine, thankyou.. John Atherton describes some spider/skaters with size 16 hooks and up to 2 1/2 inch diameter hackles... I would love to see you try one.. if any one can you can.. :D Again, thanks.

    Also, see Davie McPhail's UTube channel, he has a video showing an Argentine Skater or Spider dry fly that's just hook 'n hackle; but, the hackle is tied on in a specific way.
    It is a cool fly, BTW!
