Turning Modular Buildings into MOCs | Custom LEGO City Update!

- I hurt my knee and it's bumming me out but I built MOCs for the LEGO City and I hope you enjoy it :) The LEGO Group sent me a package with two modular buildings inside to help me get started on my MOC building journey! I want to build a (perhaps) fully custom LEGO City and the modular buildings have such great parts! They were the perfect sets to get started with this. I don't want to build MOCs at the same scale as modulars, but rather smaller scale like the town I lived in when I lived in Germany. The buildings were so cute so I'm hoping to recreate that (but more colorfully) here!

I'm sure the ER dock already told you this, but with swelling apply hot(electric heating pad) and cold(gel freezer ice bags) for the quicker healing. Apply cold first to get the swelling down and heat for healing part. Also, do some simple flexing of your knee exercises so it doesn't stiffen up.

Keep those creative juices flowing! I'd suggest maybe you could build a Pet Shop in your new layout, or perhaps a music shop? Have fun with those MOCs!
Doing the plant technique you used on your build would look amazing on the back of this building, like old ivy growing up the building 😍

Hope you get well soon with the knee! My idea is a castle as it is something so impressive in real life. Having visited a castle in Germany (Burg Eltz) during holidays as a kid I can only remember the harnesses inside the rooms and the walk to the castle I will surely never forget.

Sorry to hear about your leg, hope it heals up well, take it slow and steady. Congrats on the MOC building, looking really good! Some idea's, because why not? The flower building could be public toilets in the park - they are often disguised with plants, and a tree in the middle of the back of the brew house building would break up the back wall. Keep going with your MOCs and don't stress about trying to keep up with others. We watch because your personality is infectious and you're trying your best with a hobby we all love. the only thing we want from you is for you to try your best at whatever takes your fancy and share it with us when you can.

Take the leggings back to the store... even if they won't exchange them, lulu offers free hemming on all their clothes. Worst case you end up with a nice pair of shorts!! Love the city updates 😊

you should do a video where you make real stores out of lego like walmart or target or even like cafes or coffee shops like starbucks i just think that would look realy cool in the city pleas try my idea 😀😀😀
I would suggest looking at other content creators on youtube who moc build, to get ideas to create. Another thing is if you gonna get into moc building, then you really need to become knowledgeable with all the LEGO pieces and how they can be incorporated in mocs. Also, with moc building you can try to wing it as you go along with pieces you have(will take long hours) or you can plan how you are gonna build your mocs(kind of like a floor plan for a house or building structure). Last, there is free computer software out there where the software has a complete database for all the LEGO pieces, colors, part numbers, etc. You can build whatever you want on the software(it takes a bit to learn how to use it, but beneficial if you don't have certain pieces at your disposal).
For MOC Builds, JangBricks and Alex Nunes might be channels to look at.
Think the flower idea would look better on the wall to do away with the castle look

Hope you get better soon. Doing moc is not easy it takes a lot of trial and errors but take your time I do a lot of mocs.

Aww sorry about your leg. Hope you heal soon. I have actually been taking double friends sets and making modular buildings out of them. It’s really helpful to build the set first and then remixing into a modular building using the second set.
