Somebody told me that these sort of switch mode power supplies (without a transformer) are not very safe, as an internal fault may put 220 volts or more on the output. Is it true ? How can i prevent this to happen, for my safe and for not to destroy the whole machine that i want to power up ? Thanks

@@slmusic2842 This method is not used in phone chargers because some diodes may breakdown and the output will be 220v and that's critical for people. Instead they use a transformer even of it brokedown it will not connect any electricity.

@@slmusic2842 Just put this circuit in a plastic case with two wire outlet holes and you will be safe. Careful while handling the wires.
