An uncommentated playthrough of The Legends of Arkain True Story with some halfway decent gameplay and planned routes through maps for time effective completion. I will pin a comment with my walkthrough strategy and other thoughts on each mission video.

Pride of the Empire is many people’s favorite map, myself included, for good reason. It’s absolutely wild with the sheer number of units present and things happening as the battlefield evolves. You have to fill the gap of an entire faction to even out the top lane, but also respond to issues with the bottom lane also. Use Rangul's Rise of the Clans ability every time it is available for free units.
There are three major things needing to be done. Early: take the two gold mine expansions immediately and build some towers at the southern one for Phoenixes. Early/Middle: tower spam the upper left of your base to deal with never ending Scarec air waves like in Death’s Approach. Middle/Onwards: do not just make units and throw them down a lane. Be purposeful in responding to where map events are happening, which will keep the lanes from getting pushed back.
This is the first mission you have a hero with Avenge, which is probably the best ability in the campaign and can turn the tide against massive enemy numbers. In fact, I’d argue the strategy of every mission where it is available revolves around using it when it is most effective. You don’t want to go too long without using it if it is off cooldown, but also be judicious as it is best to have up when the top or bottom really needs it due to big scripted enemy pushes.
So long as you keep yourself safe from the Undead air waves, keep shifting between top and bottom then kill Progderas and scattered Demons when neither lane is having any major issues. Progderas will require a decent army and not just your heroes. Once both lanes get through their respective choke points you will have some breathing room, but always prioritize the Elite Cleavehand waves when they start coming top lane. These will aggressively push your allies all the way back and fast if not responded to.
I think this is the first video with that darn Blizzard (spell) sound effect bug. Thankfully it’s not too noticeable here, but something happens where the Blizzard sound plays into perpetuity even back on the main menu of Warcraft 3; you have to close the game entirely to stop it. Looking at certain spots on the map it starts on can make it louder. I am not 100% sure what causes this, but it may have to do with opening the Menu or Quests screen when Blizzard is being cast somewhere on the map. Unfortunately, we run into this several more times in this playthrough but it is never particularly disruptive.
Don't worry too much about item spread as all these heroes continue to be usable at some point. Prioritize Vanessa if anyone since she appears on the hardest late game maps, but most everyone should have a near full inventory of decent stuff by now. Have fun with this map, it's neat to observe all the battles happening everywhere!
