How To Remove 2009 - 2013 Kia Soul Tail Light - Change Replace Brake Reverse Lamp Bulb Replacement

A video tutorial on how to change the tail light / brake light assembly and bulbs on a 2009 - 2013 Kia Soul.

Perform the following procedure on your Kia Soul to remove and replacement the tail light assembly including the brake lights or reverse lights.
1. Open the liftgate.
2. Remove the 3 screws from the Kia Soul tail light assembly.
3. Pull the taillamp assembly out of the Kia body.
4. Disconnect the lamp wiring harness.
5. Turn the bulb socket counterclockwise and pull it out.
6. Remove the light bulb from the socket.
7. Install the new light bulb.
8. Push the bulb socket in and turn it clockwise.
9. Reverse Steps to reinstall the lamp assembly to your Kia Soul

I'm in shock at how easy it is. I have a break light out in mine and I thought it was going to involve going at it from the inside of the cargo area and removing side panels and such. This is by far the easiest light bulb change I have ever had to do! Thx for the upload!!

I'm US born but appreciate the slow, clear narrative too. It's as easy as it looks. Sometimes time & road grit require a little force to pop the housing free. If you have a helper you can skip disconnecting the housing and just directly replace the bulb, sometimes the disconnecting clip can be difficult and I left it connected and replaced the bulb. great vid refresher
