Part 29 Fitting liners into 671 Detroit Diesel Engine Block the right way one at a time PERFECT FIT!

Step by step, inch by inch, a PERFECT FIT!!!! Boring out engine block Cylinders hole by hole making each sleeve or liner fit perfectly is a painstaking task but is worth doing right for the longevity of our 671 Detroit Diesel Engine in our 1952 PD 4103 GM Motor Coach....The engine is out of a PD 4104 which is one of the earliest high blocks made for 671's series....Watching this with Joe and Andy at CarQuest Machine Shop in Junction City is like being in school...Each hole is a different story to make this engine one of a kind...Thanks Joe and Andy for doing it right....

Happy to follow along with the progress being made. You guys are going to have a Swiss watch quality of engine rebuild when Joe gets done building it. Your dad would be very proud, I agree !!! Keep up the great videos. This is what Detroit engine guys (& gals) love to watch! 👍

You are correct sir....Dad would be very proud but he would have told us not to do it....He wouldn't want us to spend our money like this on his old bus but he also loved what we were doing with his old bus.... THE MURVLE....Thanks for watching....

Hopefully we get it done...but if we do get it done will we be able to drive it like we want to...fuel prices going higher and higher or will we even be able to get diesel at all....If we are able to finish this rebuild it will be a work of art even if it just sits and rots because you won't be able to afford to drive it or the powers at be won't let you...🤔
