Bro, you should try the tool "place selected notes evenly" by joule. It's simpler, super flexible, and dead quick if you bind it to a hotkey. You can place however many notes you want, select the number of lines you want them to cover, and it converts it to an even subdivision. Super easy subdivisions.

I always use 12 LPB! you can 4/4 8/6 swing, spam notes fast etc. And then if needed, you can always automate the LPB
