Im currently working on something I can put this and the pi in and and then run a custom loop instead of a bland stock line. Still looks good stock. I just cant settle. Ill upload news here as I finish the stl files. Ill probably just upload to thingaverse
Hmm I think someone will look at the seeed studio water cooler and begin building a RPi 5 inside WALL-E robotic case soon. The "truck-like" radiator is impressive.
Nice video. That last bit of kit, looks more like a coffee machine. Tests show the standard cooler by RPi org. is more than adequate to keep your Pi5 cool. That makes this contraption, 'a solution looking for a problem'.
i opted to install gentoo on my rpi 5 (with kernels and boot copied over from ubuntu) and it's p. good so far. I'm sorely disappointed by the slow pace of upstreaming of rpi patches. Really want all the custom rpi kernel stuff and bootloader shenanigans to land in the mainstream kernel so i can install fedora on my students' sd cards. I might try the copy-kernel-and-boot trick with a fedora install, though
Does the Lakka Pi5 image have the emulators and the games as well? Im looking for a turn key image if it exists. Also, I'm new to the world of Pi SBCs. Do you flash Lakka as an OS and do you use the Pi flasher to accomplish this?

I know u covered this matter about rpi 4 3 yrs. ago but this can be different... (and the dvd drive u described is no more in stock on Amazon or Ebay or anywhere else nowadays).
The UEFI/windows devs already said they probably won't improve windows support any more than what works now as the raspberry pi foundation has been historically unhelpful. As in refuse to help with anything at all.

By the way about Windows 11. I read that the new versions of Windows 11 will increase the needed RAM to 16GB because of co-pilot. So i wonder if it will still be possible in the next months to use Windows 11 on RPi5. Maybe for ARM CPU will be a version without Co-Pilot available?
@@FalconWing1813 There are registry settings that let you disable it for now. It's an open question about whether they will continue to permit it in the future.
@@quademasters249 Oh, clearly. But they can't simply set as a minimum when Windows 11 is out already (and had quite a fiasco with its minimum requirements). They will do it for Windows 12 though. Also, even if they don't, I'm expecting that if you run without copilot, it will be gimped in a way or another. Make you really feel that you have the incomplete version. Still, I am just speculating. I can't say I care that much anymore if I'm wrong. While Windows 10 worked perfectly for me (well, after I got the Pro version and disabled those f**$#$ing automatic updates) and I still have it in this 7 year laptop I'm still using, when I saw Windows 11 I knew I'll never install it on any device I own. I'm now happilly using Gentoo (frankly, long overdue) and even though I haven't smoothed all its quirks (I still have the Windows 10 as a backup) on the next laptop I'll go Linux only.
I like challenges and not saying Windows are for everyone but I like the challenge to see if we can get a working Windows 10 and 11 on the 5 and better than the 4.
@@leepspvideo I think it will. It's mostly people earning a living out them are positive now. Nothing wrong with that, but so many options now for that price if you count the entire system with case and supply. And those can do 4k60 youtube. 1080p is so last gen.

Don't think so short term. The whole world would be much worse if the russ get their way. Then the chinn will occupy taiww and the prices of all electronics will triple. And the availability will plummet.

I think it can be useful for a cluster. This system is overkill for one RPI5, but for 10, I think it's not.
If you live in a hot climate and enjoy overclocking. It is huge. I think it would look great incorporated into an arcade build
My Marietta Micro Center dropped 46 Pi 5s yesterday. Of course, I got (only) one. Those are probably not on the locator.

No games come with lakka. You flash the image with Raspberry Pi imager the same as other operating systems

Im sure someone will find a way to disable Copilot and uninstall it . At least I hope they do lol
