  • The Week of the Italian Language in the World is an annual event held in the third week of October, organized by the diplomatic-consular network and the Italian Cultural Institutes, in collaboration with key partners in language promotion. Since its inception in 2001, this global exhibition has grown into the most significant celebration of the Italian language, receiving the High Patronage of the Presidency of the Republic each year. Each edition is centered around a unique theme, guiding a rich program of conferences, exhibitions, and meetings.
This year, La Scuola joined the worldwide celebration of "La Settimana della Lingua," which runs from October 14-20, 2024, under the theme “Italian and the Book: the world between the lines.” This theme explores the relationship between language and literature in today's world, highlighting the book's role as a vehicle for cultural heritage, values, and Italian identity. As part of this celebration, our Elementary students were asked, “What does Italian mean to you?” and “What do books mean to you?” Their thoughtful and creative responses reflected the open minds of young learners, adding a unique perspective to this global event.
