It says 1080p right in the description. I think the way they get away with putting that in the specifications is because the unit will accept a 1080p input, but will output it at 720p.
Native means it will run best at that resolution, upscaling to 1080p is pretty much what all larger displays do nowadays unless you drop big money on native 1080p or 4k screens/monitors/tvs/projectors
I love tv boxes... such a great idea: I like the specs of this ones … honestly i had a better experience overall with the GooBang Doo -the combo is really cheap and awesome overall-. I love how this has a huge range.. i can control a show for my kids from many meters away ! :)
I need to find a cheap one around 200 that works with the lights on...does anyone have any suggestions ?I turned my garage into a golf simulator....but the current projector I use requires basically no light in the room
Sorry if this is a stupid question, but do you need a screen for this projector? I could not tell if you were using a screen or just had it projecting straight off your wall. Please let me know.
yerowww666 well that and nothing lasts forever but a projector screen won't break, the lens and the lamp and the chips may break but most TV's "stop working" because the screen is busted
I have an led projector that is super sharp and can cover an entire wall about 30 feet wide by 20 feet tall and a small as a medium household tv. The only downside is that I have to listen to audio at a loud volume in order to drown out the sound of the fan noise coming from the projector(to keep it cool). Would be great if reviews for projectors included that white noise.
OMG, thank you for sharing, and your explanation was so easy to understand, and, your set up was friendly. I subbed. I APPRECIATE it, and APPRECIATE you! Thank you so much!!!!👍👍👍👍
This projecter does NOT have a dolby patton so devices that do, will not play any sound. For those that know: how do you play sound on this projector? Any recommendations?
you mean like a TOSLink? you can get things that convert that to stereo analog in for like ten bucks online (they usually also do coaxial on top of TOSLink). as for the rest, it's a sub $200 projector, cMon!
I will give you credit for mentioning one of the most important capability elements for any gaming projector but just to be fair you left out the other. I will say this though. I bought one of these and can vouch this is a good gaming projector. This gut, sorry I am bad with names no offence intended. But this guy is not over exaggerating. The quality of image is as good as he makes it seem. The only downfall is LED lights burn a lot hotter than the normal bulbs but this is to be expected from the amount of brightness. But because of the brightness dust burning onto the reflectors is a very common problem. To me it happened two and a half months after receiving it in the mail. As a result there is a giant brown spot in the middle of the screen. Recommended dust free environment or a room with an air purifier with HEPA filters.
LEDs would run cooler than previous projectors conventional bulbs(more efficient, so less heat output for the same light output), but they may be crammed into much smaller projectors or designed with poor cooling(probably more common on cheap no-name projectors)
It may OPERATE for that length of time! The problem will happen within a few years, if, buyer doesn't stay vigilant about prolonged usage! LEDs still create heat albeit not as much as other lamps do, but can still cause burn in to the polarizer if left on for prolonged run times! Just saying!
Are here people that ordered this projector from GB and did not got it still? I'veMade the order on 30 Nov and my order is still processing... and nobody from GB knows when the product will be in stock. Is this a common situation, or its just in my case? ((
It's only support 1080p but its not a 1080p projectors... :"Native Resolution: 1280 x 800" Sorry to bother you with that but it's a big difference! What matter the most is what you can see, not what it can read. Sorry for bad english
Dang it Matt! I just got my vava wireless headphones and dodocool mini by speaker today...I can't spend all my money and not buy the family's gifts lol
Can you read at all? This is the maximum supported resolution rather than the real one. If it was real, it would be cheap. This is not at all cheap and huge. For this money there are loads of others when they are not by any obscure brand.
ok here is my issue with this review. You had that very close to the wall thus the brightness was beyond great. Every one of these led ones have a best size. Even though it says it can do 180 inches, its best size is probably around 80. I dont have the specs so not sure. But I want to point out that you make that 180 inches and its probably going to be far far darker and night time shots will be very difficult to see anything going on. I will give it credit that its at least 720p. Its downscaling the 1080p to 720p but at least its staying hd quality unlike these $50 projectors that are not even 480p. Now with that said, you can get for a few hundred bucks more a system like the optoma hd 142x and have 1080p native resolution. It is also plenty bright enough to still be able to watch tv with the lights on. Of course the lights will wash it out a little but its still very easy to watch with the lights on. No it wont last 30,000 hours but the bulbs for them are only about 70-80 bucks so its not that hard on the wallet either. I can tell you, I own 4 other projectors that range in cost from $40-$250 and they are all crap in comparison to my optoma. The difference is beyond night and day. My optoma on a 100 inch screen with the lights out can actually make your eyes hurt on white scenes due to it being so bright and thats on eco mode. Like any big tv, its something you just have to get used to but im telling you, night and day difference. I was ready to give up on these cheap projectors because they just were to dim at 100 inches or greater. Im so happy that a friend of mine suggested to start off in the $500 range for a good starter projector and he was absolutely right. Seriously, you will not be disappointed.
Darren Cole true, but let's be honest these tech reviews are nothing more than plugging products they've been loaned.. They earn money if someone buys through one of the links
Who cares about a v.g.a cable Lol, yet you mentioned an rca cable which probably is for connecting vcr's that nobody uses anymore, rca connection is about the worse possible way of connecting anything to a projector. A v.g.a if you have one on a pc will provide exactly the same output to this projector as an HDMI cable
Yeah, if the response time* is greater than 5ms, then it's useless for gaming. Gaming monitors are usually 1ms to 5ms. Any higher than that and you'll get screen lag. *Edited. Used wrong terminology while typing while intoxicated.
4:40 "Woah, ok, this is really bright" Lmao even really cheap ones probably would feel really bright if you LOOKED AT THE LENS. It's difficult to look at a lightbulb without your eyes hurting that is probably 3 times brighter like why do that??
Cool video, interesting to see how they have come down in price. whats the difference between native resolution and supports 1080P. How can it be/do both?
native resolution is the most important info, the "supported" resolutions tells you that it can play that content but scaling it down to the native resolution, like when you play a 4k video in your pc and it gets downscaled to 1080p or whatever resolution your monitor has.
SPECIFICATIONS:
Native Resolution: 1280 x 800
This means that is totally NOT 1080p!!!!!!!!!!!!
He never said it's 1080p...
However when I project this over my laptop and change to setting to 720p supposedly but it doesn't change to output from 1080p to 720p
It means it’s not 1920 by 1080
Dude I've been living under a rock there's so much cool stuff out now
since when was 1280 x 800 NATIVE 1080p ?
Projectors always say something along the lines of "supports 1080p" meaning that you can input 1080p and it does all of the down-scaling internally.
With VGA You can have 1080p
It's a marketing gimmick
I love tv boxes... such a great idea: I like the specs of this ones … honestly i had a better experience overall with the GooBang Doo -the combo is really cheap and awesome overall-. I love how this has a huge range.. i can control a show for my kids from many meters away ! :)
get a vga to hdmi adapter and itll look better
I need to find a cheap one around 200 that works with the lights on...does anyone have any suggestions ?I turned my garage into a golf simulator....but the current projector I use requires basically no light in the room
Have u found one
Sorry if this is a stupid question, but do you need a screen for this projector? I could not tell if you were using a screen or just had it projecting straight off your wall. Please let me know.
This might be okay instead of a TV in a bedroom tbh, not bad at all.
im moving out soon, selling the 48" tv and getting this thing. cant fuckin wait.
RJ I'm thinking about this too...
yerowww666 well that and nothing lasts forever but a projector screen won't break, the lens and the lamp and the chips may break but most TV's "stop working" because the screen is busted
It's an LED bulb. It will last a hell of a long time. It's not ur 4 year bulb that runs u $400 to replace it.
How would this compare to a low end name brand projector? Cheers.
Does this support 1080p HD video and content?
How do you go to the settings?
how loud is it? and can i connect my macbook laptop through a usb?
If that fantastic image quality is just 720p, I am so looking forward to my native 1080p LED projector right now, Tuesday cannot arrive fast enough.
What its the diference with the gp90?
Matt, you download movies from the pirated website yts???
I have an led projector that is super sharp and can cover an entire wall about 30 feet wide by 20 feet tall and a small as a medium household tv. The only downside is that I have to listen to audio at a loud volume in order to drown out the sound of the fan noise coming from the projector(to keep it cool). Would be great if reviews for projectors included that white noise.
this guy threw away a VGA cable and kept an AV cable and said he threw the vga cable away because it's old. BUT CLEARLY AV IS WAY OLDER THAN VGA.
OMG, thank you for sharing, and your explanation was so easy to understand, and, your set up was friendly.
I subbed. I APPRECIATE it, and APPRECIATE you!
Thank you so much!!!!👍👍👍👍
what is the cheapest 1080p native projector?
700$
$145
My screen is 16:9 can I still use this projector on it?
I've seen some opinions that fan is too loud, is that true?
+Lyll The fan is a pretty loud. I've got another project I'll be checking out soon. Let's see how this other is 😊
i dont undrrstand hos it have 1080p og 720 ?
720p
This projecter does NOT have a dolby patton so devices that do, will not play any sound. For those that know: how do you play sound on this projector? Any recommendations?

My 1st Projector!
I’m looking for a cheap projector that supports WiFi as well as Bluetooth, if available.
Just gonna throw out an obvious question
if it "rated" at 10 years how did they test it?
i bet this things bulb burns out in the first year
Ur stupid. its a calculation to get a close result to how long it will last
um when products say they last "years" or say how many they last they don't wait out all them stated years testing the product
how much bro
A gig of RAM is not very slow?
i love your unboxing videos!
@Unbox Junkie It could be better if you use the VGA cable so you can get 1920x1080 instead of 1280x800
Sounds like it a good projector. With price of a small tv sounds like it might be a good replacement
Looking forward to your tech reviews Matt hope you reach 20k subscribers by the end of the year
seems ok but the resolution is crappy 1280 x 800 sucks for gaming. If you need a cheap projector its not to bad
"OMG, it's so big!"
That's what she said.
I will give you credit for mentioning one of the most important capability elements for any gaming projector but just to be fair you left out the other. I will say this though. You didn't show how clear or not clear it was when further away from wall, therefore a bigger screen....
It may OPERATE for that length of time! The problem will happen within a few years, if, buyer doesn't stay vigilant about prolonged usage! LEDs still create heat albeit not as much as other lamps do, but can still cause burn in to the polarizer if left on for prolonged run times! Just saying!
Myne is making every face red, like they all are burned on sun.
i wonder how much did it cost ....
just paid 129.99 for mine on gearbest they are having a flash sale 38% off for the android version
Are here people that ordered this projector from GB and did not got it still? I'veMade the order on 30 Nov and my order is still processing... and nobody from GB knows when the product will be in stock. Is this a common situation, or its just in my case? ((
Elz Tim it takes around a month to ship it
9 months later, still waiting for it to be shipped.
Their description says, "VIVIBRIGHT GP100 suitable for 97 percent of middle-income families."......what if I'm in the 3 percent?
720p is not up to snuff these days, at all.
I think is good but you can get a better used epson under 200 us look on EBay better and HD
Paul Ruiz link please
Wow that’s so good. Asking for it for my birthday 😀
Good image quality but laggy refresh/frame rate
aspect ratio of 16:9 or 4:3. Which one is it?!?!?! they are not the same haha. you don't know what you're talking about
David Doesburg it is actually 16/10 because of the native resolution and the fact That all projectors are square pixel.
It's only support 1080p but its not a 1080p projectors... :"Native Resolution: 1280 x 800"
Sorry to bother you with that but it's a big difference!
What matter the most is what you can see, not what it can read.
Sorry for bad english
Wait what
Native Resolution: 1280 x 800, not a 1080p projector, but i think it's a great projector for the price :)
I order one.
It means you can input 1080p, but it converts it to 720p.
Dang it Matt! I just got my vava wireless headphones and dodocool mini by speaker today...I can't spend all my money and not buy the family's gifts lol

sound coming from fan is a kill buzz sorry..
Hey matt.. Check out revolcam.. And review that product
"I'm just super strong"
Ah.. You did a Gaming Session.. Great Bro!
What is different between p80 p90 and p100? . 3200lumens and 3500 lumens?. What is power consumption 200 what's?

The lumens in those cheap projectors is always overrated
awesome..a 60 inch screen for the price of a decent 1080p 21 inch....but what about
the refresh rate
Native Resolution: 1280 x 800
its 60
xellos tube that's resolution, not refresh rate

L.I. Archer no, ms as in 5ms is latency refresh rate is hertz or hz like 60hz which is likely what that projectors refresh rate is

sparkyAR so meaning even if I play 4k or 1080p it'll come out to 720p?
yes, whatever you play the output resolution will always be 720p
