Mr waqas says that the abrogation did not happen in quran but Allah abrogated some verses of Torah. He is just presenting what Maulana Maududi said in his tafseer, Tafheemul Quran explaining verse 2:106 ignoring the fact that there is a near consensu among the muslim ulema that some ayahs in the Quran abrogate other ayahs in the Quran, but do not all hold to the same set of abrogated and abrogating ayahs. Other Muslim scholars are of the opinion that the Quran may abrogate the Quran as well as the Sunnah (deed or example of Mohammad) and vice versa.Some Muslim scholars hold that the Quran abrogates all the previous scriptures, specifically the scriptures sent to Musa and Isa, but not itself. Some Muslim scholars, especially of recent times do not believe in the concept of abrogation at all.o Note that the ayah 2:106 above is clearly making the claim that only when a better ayah or similar ayah is available, does Allah change it and cause the older ones to be forgotten. And to drive the point home, the ayah continues on that Allah has power over all things. In 8:65 the ratio between believer fighters and non believer fighters is 1:10 and after abrogation through 8:66 it has been reduced to just 1:2 Obviously 8:66 clearly abrogates 8:65 Now we can discuss verse 2:106 about which Mr waqas said it is talking about the Quran abrogating some verses of old scriptures. مَا نَنۡسَخۡ مِنۡ اٰيَةٍ اَوۡ نُنۡسِهَا نَاۡتِ بِخَيۡرٍ مِّنۡهَآ اَوۡ مِثۡلِهَا ؕ اَلَمۡ تَعۡلَمۡ اَنَّ اللّٰهَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَىۡءٍ قَدِيۡرٌ (2:106) For whatever verse We might abrogate or consign to oblivion, We bring a better one or the like of it. Are you not aware that Allah is All-Powerful? Quran. Com is a famous and popular tafseer among the Muslims. Now let us see what it says on abrogation. At first, Muslims used to pray with their faces turned towards the Baytul-Maqdis بیت المقدس at Jerusalem; later on, Allah commanded them to turn towards the Ka'bah کعبہ . Similarly, certain other injunctions were abrogated altogether, or replaced by others. This provided the Jews and some of the associators too with an occasion to taunt the Muslims, and to say that such changes were made by the Holy Prophet ﷺ himself and not by Allah. Their purpose was to sow the seed of doubt in the mind of the Muslims with regard to the Holy Qur'an being a book revealed by Allah. They used to argue that if everything that Allah revealed was good, as the Muslims affirmed, why should one injunction be re-placed by another? For, it would only mean that one of the two injunctions must be good, and the other evil, but no divine revelation can possibly be evil. Putting these two premises together, the Jews tried to draw the conclusion that the Holy Qur'an could not be a revealed book. So I find that Mr Awais Iqbal, s question is valid.

Sadyan gazar gayin bad ki nasl ko yeh pata hi nahi tha ki ise haram karne ki wajah kya thi woh ise haram hi samajhte rahe ab ye unki aadat ban chuki thi lehaza jab hazrat Musa tashreef laye aur shariat-e-Musawi bani to unki aadat ka khayal karte huwe ise unke liye haram hi rakha gaya. Arab ke logon men aisa koi masla nahin tha aur woh oont ke gosht aur doodh ke shauqeen the isliye unki aadat ka khayal karte huwe ise unke liye halal kar diya gaya. As Waqas said, to understand and interpret the Quran, one should follow the majority. Almost all muslim scholars agree on abrogation of verses in Quran. Why should we accept Waqas's interpretation of verse 2:106? If majority is authority, then Waqas' argument and interpretation falls to ground. According to Muslim scholars there are nearly 80 to 100 abrogations in Quran. Either Waqas is ignorant of abrogation in Quran or he is being dishonest and making his how interpretation. Second thing is, there are several verses in Quran that say "no one change the word of God(Allah). If this verse stands, then argument that Jews and/or Christians have changed the Old testament and/or new testament is against those Quranic verses. Quran 18 27 Quran 6 116

Mr waqas says that the abrogation did not happen in quran but Allah abrogated some verses of Torah. He is just presenting what Maulana Maududi said in his tafseer, Tafheemul Quran explaining verse 2:106 ignoring the fact that there is a near consensu among the muslim ulema that some ayahs in the Quran abrogate other ayahs in the Quran, but do not all hold to the same set of abrogated and abrogating ayahs.
Other Muslim scholars are of the opinion that the Quran may abrogate the Quran as well as the Sunnah (deed or example of Mohammad) and vice versa.Some Muslim scholars hold that the Quran abrogates all the previous scriptures, specifically the scriptures sent to Musa and Isa, but not itself.
Some Muslim scholars, especially of recent times do not believe in the concept of abrogation at all.o
Note that the ayah 2:106 above is clearly making the claim that only when a better ayah or similar ayah is available, does Allah change it and cause the older ones to be forgotten. And to drive the point home, the ayah continues on that Allah has power over all things.

اَلۡـٰٔـنَ خَفَّفَ اللّٰهُ عَنۡكُمۡ وَعَلِمَ اَنَّ فِيۡكُمۡ ضَعۡفًاؕ فَاِنۡ يَّكُنۡ مِّنۡكُمۡ مِّائَةٌ صَابِرَةٌ يَّغۡلِبُوۡا مِائَتَيۡنِۚ وَاِنۡ يَّكُنۡ مِّنۡكُمۡ اَلۡفٌ يَّغۡلِبُوۡۤا اَلۡفَيۡنِ بِاِذۡنِ اللّٰهِؕ وَ اللّٰهُ مَعَ الصّٰبِرِيۡنَ
(8:66) Allah has now lightened your burden for He found weakness in you. So if there be hundred of you who persevere, they shall vanquish two hundred; and if there be a thousand of you they shall, by the leave of Allah, vanquish two thousand. Allah is with those who persevere.
In 8:65 the ratio between believer fighters and non believer fighters is 1:10 and after abrogation through 8:66 it has been reduced to just 1:2
Obviously 8:66 clearly abrogates 8:65
Now we can discuss verse 2:106 about which Mr waqas said it is talking about the Quran abrogating some verses of old scriptures.
مَا نَنۡسَخۡ مِنۡ اٰيَةٍ اَوۡ نُنۡسِهَا نَاۡتِ بِخَيۡرٍ مِّنۡهَآ اَوۡ مِثۡلِهَا ؕ اَلَمۡ تَعۡلَمۡ اَنَّ اللّٰهَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَىۡءٍ قَدِيۡرٌ
(2:106) For whatever verse We might abrogate or consign to oblivion, We bring a better one or the like of it. Are you not aware that Allah is All-Powerful?
Quran. Com is a famous and popular tafseer among the Muslims. Now let us see what it says on abrogation.
At first, Muslims used to pray with their faces turned towards the Baytul-Maqdis بیت المقدس at Jerusalem; later on, Allah commanded them to turn towards the Ka'bah کعبہ . Similarly, certain other injunctions were abrogated altogether, or replaced by others. This provided the Jews and some of the associators too with an occasion to taunt the Muslims, and to say that such changes were made by the Holy Prophet ﷺ himself and not by Allah. Their purpose was to sow the seed of doubt in the mind of the Muslims with regard to the Holy Qur'an being a book revealed by Allah. They used to argue that if everything that Allah revealed was good, as the Muslims affirmed, why should one injunction be re-placed by another? For, it would only mean that one of the two injunctions must be good, and the other evil, but no divine revelation can possibly be evil. Putting these two premises together, the Jews tried to draw the conclusion that the Holy Qur'an could not be a revealed book.
So I find that Mr Awais Iqbal, s question is valid.

Hazrat yaqub ek martaba bimar ho gaye to unhone Allah se nazar mani ki agar woh theek ho jayenge, to woh apni pasandeedah gheza chhor denge jab woh sehtyab hogaye to unhone oont ka doodh aur uska gosht apne upar haram kar liya. Unki aulad yani bani Ismail ne socha ki jab hamare buzurg nahin, kha rahe to ham kaise khayen is liye unhone apne upar bhi haram kar liya. Sadyan gazar gayin bad ki nasl ko yeh pata hi nahi tha ki ise haram karne ki wajah kya thi woh ise haram hi samajhte rahe ab ye unki aadat ban chuki thi lehaza jab hazrat Musa tashreef laye aur shariat-e-Musawi bani to unki aadat ka khayal karte huwe ise unke liye haram hi rakha gaya. Arab ke logon men aisa koi masla nahin tha aur woh oont ke gosht aur doodh ke shauqeen the isliye unki aadat ka khayal karte huwe ise unke liye halal kar diya gaya.

Examples of Abrogation
1. Alcohol Consumption:

Where in the ayat 106 of Sura bakra quoted by owais has the word ,, torah ,, in it ? How can waqas be allowed to twist it without any evidence
As Waqas said, to understand and interpret the Quran, one should follow the majority. Almost all muslim scholars agree on abrogation of verses in Quran. Why should we accept Waqas's interpretation of verse 2:106? If majority is authority, then Waqas' argument and interpretation falls to ground. According to Muslim scholars there are nearly 80 to 100 abrogations in Quran. Either Waqas is ignorant of abrogation in Quran or he is being dishonest and making his how interpretation.
Second thing is, there are several verses in Quran that say "no one change the word of God(Allah). If this verse stands, then argument that Jews and/or Christians have changed the Old testament and/or new testament is against those Quranic verses.
