This is not the “made in Japan” version, this is Copenhagen, Denmark, probably a year earlier than the three concerts in Japan that were used to comprise “made in Japan”, while the rendition is SIMILAR it is not quite the same. They had developed a particular kind of fire that was really only captured on the Japan recordings. They were at their zenith, but this is good. Thank you
I have this DVD, the director did a crappy job. Blackmore would be doing a solo and they'd have the camera on something else. As a guitarist, you've discovered a master.
This is NOT Scandinavian Nights (1970), this was recorded 1 March 1972 at the K.B. Hallen in Copenhagen, Denmark, previous to their japanese tour in august.
Copenhagen Denmark 1972. Obviously this was not from the made in Japan album or should I say the legendary made in Japan album.. nonetheless this is the only full concert filmed during the MK2 era it was a phenomenal show you should check out some of the songs from it like lazy you will be thoroughly impressed from this same show.. and I must add the cameraman stunk.. and no the video is not off this is an actual DVD concert that was filmed for release so it must be your computer.
If you like Deep Purple please do yourself a favor and listen to their songs, lazy, highway star, space trucking, hush, really any of their music is awesome. Their Machine Head Album doesn't have a bad song on it. One of the best groups in their era, and today.
Lots of incredible solos from Ritchie...other than the two masterpieces from MIJ on the songs Child in time (maybe the best solo in history) and highway star from the same album I suggest the ones on black masquerade and Temple of the king from Rainbow '95 dvd...also bilsen '69 wring that neck Is fantastic (and impressive if you consider his age)...but there are so many to investigate. Please check them all.
This looks like a Made In Japan, but this concert is Copenhagen Live 1972, I love this Live, because there I can watch Deep Purple in 1972, but Made In Japan is the best.
We know how Blackmore felt about cameras. I am sure there were a couple camera men there that he warned not to film him because they were to close. Not being in the picture is obviously intentional.
For the first half of the song the editor didn't know who was playing the guitar. For each major guitar piece, he kept fthe camera on the bassist, Roger Glover, lol. :)
Gonna share a true event! While serving the navy, we had docked in Singapore, I met a (real) woman from Germany who then took me to her so called apartment, inside were 9 women (Malaysian women) she left me there! Inside they were smoking pot and this song was playing, a girl came out of the shower with just a towel on, she said hi and sat on the bed next to me! I started to check her out and then I looked at her feet! OMG, she had hairy toes!!! I was left behind in a room full of ladyboys!! Scared the shit out of me because I was only 19 years old! I got the hell out so everytime this song plays it brings me back to this moment of my life
Something I often challenge people to react to is the Stockholm 1970 version of Wring That Neck. It may seem massively lengthy - th-cam.com/video/8Tv1W2philc/w-d-xo.html - but in truth a reactor could safely switch it off at around the 11-minute mark, when they return to the head. Because once the solo-cadenzas start, from that point on it's arguably a separate musical event.
That's a very Zeppelin call-and-response, very cool. Incidentally, I'm not sure how much I believe in astrology, but I've always found it interesting that Ian Gillan and Robert Plant almost share a birthday. :D
Believe it or not, recorded 40 years ago! It's almost hard to think that it was that long ago, seeing as I grew up with it but yeah yeah they started in the late 60s and this was recorded in about 197...bluh..er 2/3?? Early 70s anyway..
Made In Japan has no video to go with it, I'm guessing nobody that was alive back then ever heard this version you just reacted to until they saw it on TH-cam, myself included.
Hey bro you should really take a listen to the real Made In Japan version of this from the album .. this isn't it ... even if you dont do a video . the sound quality and them reaching their excellence makes it by far the best .. this ok but the sound and production on this is not very good. Made In Japan is still in nearly every top 10 of Greatest live albums ever made.. this isn't even close to the Made In Japan version .. this is from shows In japan around the same dates .. they were actually doing 2 shows a day for a couple of days ..
Not from 'Made In Japan,' which has a much better audio. There is no video for the live album except for a couple of grainy images that an audience member filmed and someone synced the album audio to. Just listen to the audio from 'Made In Japan,' it's so much better than this version.

Deep purple best live band ever brilliant musicians and this is live in Copenhagen
Great song choice for deep purple. Burn is another great song by them
The made in japan version is insane, go listen to it
LOVE THE RIDE OFF THAT HI-HAT
Yes!! More Deep Purple!!!
I have this DVD, the director did a crappy job. Blackmore would be doing a solo and they'd have the camera on something else. As a guitarist, you've discovered a master.
Gracias por ver Strange Kind of Woman!! Es genial ❤.
He esperado tanto para que la reacciónen, gracias 🙏🙏🙏
Saludos desde Chile.
💜💜💜💜💜
This is not the made in Japan version, there is no footage from the made in Japan tour
Yes.... Exactly. The made in Japan 🇯🇵 version is way BETTER
Yeah, doesn't that suck
there is some but not topnotch. th-cam.com/video/vFx2TcsnM-Q/w-d-xo.html
This is Copenhagen 1970, released as a bootleg double album under the title "Scandinavian Nights".
This is NOT Scandinavian Nights (1970), this was recorded 1 March 1972 at the K.B. Hallen in Copenhagen, Denmark, previous to their japanese tour in august.
This was recorded 1 March 1972 at the K.B. Hallen in Copenhagen, Denmark, previous to their japanese tour in august of the same year.
So glad someone did a reaction to this! What a great jam!
Not even half as good as Made In Japan, but still amazing. Made On Japan is the greatest live album ever, EVERY song.
Copenhagen Denmark 1972. Just bought Live in Sydney, great to. Mk 2 1985.
Perfect Stranger Tour.
One of the best live recordings is Lou Reed live 1973 Rock in Roll Animal. I also like Deep purple made in Japan.
People having fun and people being damn f'in good at having fun! We have last soooo much
Saw them not too long ago. Incredible live.
If you like Deep Purple please do yourself a favor and listen to their songs, lazy, highway star, space trucking, hush, really any of their music is awesome. Their Machine Head Album doesn't have a bad song on it. One of the best groups in their era, and today.

Young people now never had a chance to eperienced what these musicians had to go through.
Ritchie has a habit of hitting cameras
Her name was Nancy, her face was nothing fancy....that's poetry IMO.

FREAKY! A thing like that can damage the mind. Sounds
like you KEPT it together though.
I d say she was a Strange Kind Of Woman 🤩

I was just about to say this is not "Made in Japan", but right around that time I agree there is no footage of that concert
th-cam.com/video/vFx2TcsnM-Q/w-d-xo.html
Loved Roger's scream at the end, lol. Seriously the cameraman suck, should have show Ian doing the scream.
Lots of Blues Tones in the early Rock N Roll. If not for Blues this would not happen in this way.
Grand Funk Railroad “Flight Of The Phoenix” is a good one.
No better than Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin! Past, present or future!!!!!!!!
Johm Lord is GOD!
U gotta do the studio version of child in time by deep purple itll blow ur mind
Legende 😍😍🤘🤘
Do Highway Star and Somke on the Water, please show them live!!!!!!!!
whoever filmed this (cameraman) didn't have a clue - rarely focusing on Richie while he's soloing!!!
lol. Maybe he actually met R.B. before the show! ultimateclassicrock.com/ritchie-blackmore-deep-purple-meltdown/
Ritchie Blackmore rippin it
That's a very Zeppelin call-and-response, very cool. Incidentally, I'm not sure how much I believe in astrology, but I've always found it interesting that Ian Gillan and Robert Plant almost share a birthday. :D
@Bj D I genuinely doubt they did, it's an old blues thing.
@Bj D Close, Finnish. Why?
React to wring that neck live at the blizen jazz festival live 1969, amazing instrumental 😁
This is not the Made in Japan version
Bro react to deep purple lazy from album made in Japan
The Ritchie Blackmore hitten them strings YOU should have enjoyed, be a g player yourself! Peace.
Bloodsucker off In Rock and No One Came off Fireball [studio versions if possible]
Classic 70s cameraman - can't find the guitar solo to save his life.
Gillian... Man
React to Rainbow 1995 dvd black masquerade and Temple of the king. You will hear Blackmore at his best outside the Made in Japan album.
This is denmark
Believe it or not, recorded 40 years ago! It's almost hard to think that it was that long ago, seeing as I grew up with it but yeah yeah they started in the late 60s and this was recorded in about 197...bluh..er 2/3?? Early 70s anyway..
Believe it or not, recorded 50 years ago! (c. 1971).
THERE IS NO VIDEO INFO FROM MADE IN JAPAN !
Yeah Deep Purple is my absoluta favorite band. Its a good live but the cameraman alkostopp nerver film Ritchie which I dont like
would like to see your reaction to the recent video by IGNEA for the song "Disenchantment"
It's live Danmark March 72 and not Made in Japan (Japanese shows 16,17,18 th August 72)
Check out MADE IN JAPAN plz 😎✌🏽
Copenhagen 1972.... There is a dvd, with The hole koncert....I have it, it's all black and White....good stuff, but not Made in Japan
THE AUDIO IS NOT MADE IN JAPAN. SO PITTY BECAUSE IT IS INDEED AN AMAZING PIECE, WHAT YOU HAVE HERE I THINK, IS A LIVE FROM DENMARK.
Made In Japan has no video to go with it, I'm guessing nobody that was alive back then ever heard this version you just reacted to until they saw it on TH-cam, myself included.
Sweden
This ain't from LP Made In Japan.

This wasn’t from Made in Japan. The sound quality wasn’t nearly as good.
Not Made in Japan
This is not Made in Japan.
The actual version on Made in Japan is better.
By now you know you screwed up. Well Nobody's perfect. Try again.
Awful Mixing.
worst version ever?
