Hey Alyssa! So glad you're back! So I'm still working on my pre-reqs and completing as many corequisits as possible before applying for nursing school next year after my TEAS. That way I'll just have my core nursing courses to take. I'm nervous about the workload since I work as a Tech in the ER overnights 4 days a week (8 hour shifts not 12). How did you time manage with work, classwork, clinicals and studying, any tips? I may sacrifice sleep I know...but want to be realistic on the workload.
That’s so awesome for you!! & so awesome you’re already working as a tech! When I did night shift I would bring my ipad or any homework I had and get as much done as I could! I definitely would use a daily planner with the hours on it so you can see what time you need to be doing things and what time during the day you’re busy! It made life soooo much easier being able to look at see that I was busy from 8-11 am then again at 2-5 pm so I knew I had a couple hours between classes to eat lunch, get housework done, and get some studying in! I definitely think it’s do-able to work that much and be in school!
