Hey, thanks for the video and the warm words about our project :) Incorporating the spotlight into the program shouldn't be too difficult. We could tackle it on a bad weather weekend. But the Fit to UV option isn't that easy. I think the image has to be manually expanded in an image editing program beforehand so that the center of the circle contains exactly what you want to see, which isn't possible programmatically or needs a more complex UI, where you can edit an Image (which is to difficult for a little side project). Multicanvas is much easier if you do it column by column instead of row by row. Thanks again for giving our little project a platform :)

Took us quite a while to figure things out. However i have been away from ark for a while so we didn't really continued working on it, mostly because it worked the way it is. Can you tell me how to rename the painting for the spotlight emblem and where to load that in? I seem to only be able to paint the spotlight body itself. 🤔 Thanks for the video! 👍

So for anybody also wondering how to add a custom texture to the spotlight: - make or take a 512x512 picture - reduce it to two colors - mirror the picture on y axis (vertically) - use the pnt converter calculate for 1 color only - save .pnt in \...\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\ARK Survival Ascended\ShooterGame\Saved\MyPaintings\ with the name ending on filename_Sign_StructureBP_SpotLight_C.pnt - hit the spotlight in game with a paintbrush and click load painting -> you should see your picture and can paint it if you have the correct dyes in your inventory 👍
Couple things. One. Feel free to join the discord if u need help. I can try. Two. Sometimes paintings take awhile to load or need to be repainted to stick. It’s ark, it’s buggy. lol
If you can get the file in the right place yes. If you go into photo mode and save as a painting it may show you where the files are saved on your console. Then you can transfer the files from your pc to that folder
@@ArkTradeFederationthat’s not how consoles work anymore. You cannot access the file system on an Xbox or Ps at all now. You can’t even see the file system let alone add or copy anything. Everything needs to be digitally signed now in order to be allowed on the consoles. If someone was determined to have access to this stuff on console I would say their best bet is to play it on a pc w gamepass w their account just long enough to do this. Even a crappy pc could accomplish it.
@@caboomcreations7190 not true, you can still have them and even on console, however you must get them from a PC player w cross play in order to get them onto your console.
I love how he conveniently leaves out the very key detail that you must either create the folder yourself, or save a free drawing.
Used this to do a 6x5 Starry Night in my quarters. Amazing.
