Interesting to see all the different bus manufacturers the CTA used over the decades such as GMC, White, Marmon-Herrington (trolley buses), Mack, AM-General, Twin-Coach, Flxible, MAN, Pullman (trolley buses) and ACF-Brill (trolley and motor buses). Sure brings back a lot of memories and thanks for sharing!
Thanks for the memories! I have ridden on all of the bus styles in this video, except for a few of the most modern ones. I still remember riding on the old red streetcars, and later, the "Green Hornet" and the "Blue Geese" streetcars, as well. My favorites were the electric trolley busses. Those ones seemed to have the quickest accelerations of any of them. One fast step on the accelerator, and your back got flattened against the seat. What a ride!
I liked the inclusion of the line maps. Those were given to bus operators when they started at CTA so they could learn the routes for the garage they were assigned to drive at.
In1977, while on the 23a outta Marquette Park, I watched a lady pull a butt plugs out and chuck it on the floor, it was flesh colored and green, smelled like a sewer in there....ew.....imagine tasting that thing
Man I don't know where to begin on this, or ask why the Upgrade? I see you Showed some Bus Schedule Maps of the CTA Routes. Some of the Past & Current CTA Busses, Except the RTS's & M.A.N. (Bread Box Busses), & NABI Articulated Busses. The One that Stuck Out was the Photo of the Latino Boys, & in the Background was the #26 Bus in the Background! Have No Other Comments, to Say that it was a Good Upgrade, the 75th I Hope will Show All CTA Busses from the Last 75 Years (Past & Current). Goodbye...
The reason I upgraded is my CTA Facebook page reached 5,000 likes and I gathered more photos since the last movie. When the CTA reaches its 75th anniversary, I would redo it again with more photos. I'm glad you like it.
My dad said no way the bus is 70, he said he'd eat his ouw crap if that was true, well I showed him this video, then my dog took a honkin crap on his plate at a bbq
You forgot a couple of part time/rush hour routes 19 United Center Exp....129 ( I think) Soldier Field Exp....148 Wilson/Michigan/Outer Dr......205 Evanston Circulator.....otherwise....love the old pics and memories
Thank you. I didn't really forget them. I couldn't find photos of them. I will keep them in mind when I redo the movie someday in the future when I find photos of them.

The picture of the 59th/61st bus passing under the Englewood L and turning on 59th street reminded me of Elmo's Tombstone Service.
Looooove your video 👍, I have a model of the Red, White & blue bus
Thank you!

Why no EL shots, A train B train and the Skokie Swift?
This video is for CTA buses only.
