I really respect you, for being nice to Danny even if he struggles to communicate, and all your workers, you really deserve what you got and hopefully it keeps getting better
I've got my business for 40 plus years and only let one guy go because of personal issues,i appreciate anyone who gives a 100% . Any problems can be figured out!!
As someone who has been that employee let go due to personal problems, I can say you did the right thing. We all have struggles, but sometimes those struggles consume us and begin to affect every aspect of our lives. Hopefully he takes this as a wake up call and starts to address whatever issues he’s got going on, because if he doesn’t, those problems will just follow him to his next job.
We get crap from dumping material on the roads too, started using a steel dump box to dump into, much cleaner, a pita though to haul to different sites.
Love your channel tom, keep up the good work brother. Its hard keeping everyone happy in business but it looks like you do a dam good job. Much respect
No shit man, I see you’re out of Troy. I live in NY too. Up in Oswego. My First time seeing 1 of your vids. Definitely looking forward to watching more. It looks like you have a good, funny bunch of guys on your crew. It’s an awesome thing you’re doing for Danny. Helping him out with gaining experience. It’s hard to find someone that doesn’t want to teach you these days. Good stuff🤙🏻

Great video Tom, not sure if it's the guy who I believe his name is Casey. If its who I think it is he didn't look like a blazing ball of fire. He gave the impression that he didn't care.. keep the videos coming. 😁👍
I'm retired (Plumer. New construction and service.) I've been to countless jobsites during my lifetime, and I'm somewhat surprised at your casual, leisurely workpace. No offense intended.
Yeah while you still live with your mom. You’re just jealous you don’t have a guy like Danny to run your skid steer or Mike that doesn’t know what he’s doing at all!….
Hi Tom, great video. Always enjoy the footage of Danny trying his hardest to communicate in English. Good thing there are hand signals to help. Looks like that employee that worked with you for 4 years texted you at the perfect time. Glad that he is coming back especially after you had to let the other mowing employee go. Looks like you are at the peak of Fall colors there, a lot of beautiful colored leaves.
An inspiration. Thank you for your videos. I’ve got to say. They’ve helped me out a lot recently in getting organized. You have a hell of an operation there. I wish to be as big as you one day. Only thing I don’t like about your videos is that they aren’t longer lol. 🫡 my friend. Hopefully one day we’ll meet. I own a tree service in Fort Myers Florida. If you are ever in the area.
Never had to do any manual blue collar labor I'm guessin? Lol If some icky words are the ultimate extent of your sensibilities, you probably wouldn't last very long working with a contracting crew... But hey, this type of work ain't for everyone. My back, neck, and knees won't allow me to do much of it anymore myself unless I want to spend the next two days barely capable of making it from the bed to the bathroom after one day of work, and I'm only in my 30s. Too many injuries/surgeries over the years and early-onset arthritis and osteoporosis as a result of long-term corticosteroid treatment. I got plenty of reasons to swear in order to demonstrate my displeasure and overall achey, ornery disposition 😂.
@@samusvikerness661Lol you just must be so accustomed to it that you can't tell the difference anymore, and I feel that 😆. I definitely heard a few, but then again I do not possess the mental and emotional sensibilities of a suburban housewife from the Biblebelt.
@ I’ve ran a blactopping crew of 10 guys at 16 years old, I’ve built motels in laurel and Knox county for bluegrass construction, I’ve pulled 70,80 and 85 hours work weeks at the laurel cookie factory and a straight 23 hour shifts at Aisin automotive casting in lily Kentucky too so yes I’ve did my share and rarely did I ever have to endure this kind of language my crews and coworkers all respected me and each other and tried to refrain from using such obscenities on occasion though someone would let one slip lol but hey like I said I get it I’m not a fan of the language that’s their rights though I do like the video and content. My body too is messed up I had a major heart attack couple with a stroke at the age of 23 I had a granmal seizure at 24 years old and at age 34 while working at Walmart the doctors told me I had 5 massive heart attacks couple with Tia events which are most often fatal they labeled them as widow-maker heart attacks they told me based on my condition I am terminal and will not be allowed to hold a public job again due to my health and me being a liability I am at 99% chance of sca (sudden cardiac arrest) all arteries are 90-99% blocked and I’m not a candidate for surgery due to life threatening allergy’s to all antibiotics and radio and contrast dyes so yeah I know what works like been around the block a few times
Um what's the fascination with a young man owning a lawncare business? Idkkkkk. Edit: does this guy even work or just walk around telling everyone what to do? Bud get off your high horse and work. Your young. I noticed every job in this video your delayed, maybe get on the job yourself as an owner
12 years in business. This is my first year not being in the field full-time. Once most small service based businesses reach a million in revenue, the owners main focus is selling work and handling the back end logistics of the company. If you'd like, check out some videos from last season when I was still in the owner/operator position.
If my backhoe was working my driveway would be done. Ive been pickaxing my stone pile and using a bucket to go back and forth and drop a load.. then use a metal rake to even out the stone. Have absolutly nothing weighted and wide enough to flatten and toughen the stone. So i walk on it. A hundred times untill its sturdy enough. Work my way up to the 4 wheeler wheels and then the car finishes the flattening.. yet my driveway after weeks of doing this. Is only 7 percent done lmao. Ahhhhhh, lol. Its a good distraction for me amd i enjoy it. But would be way easier with some of those tools lmao

I think you should get a mid sized tractor to make mowing way faster then the skid steer with the brushhog

Good Work!
What do you use to help you find employees? Like indeed?
Yes, Indeed and word of mouth
No windstorm or hurricane blower for clean ups ?
No, we usually make out well with 6-7 guys on blowers. We don't have many large acreage properties.
Hopefully the crew benefits from some of the merch sales!
