I’m a Christian, but regardless of your religious beliefs & how you view God, this version of the song bloody slaps! I’ve listened to the original by the Jubilaires, the Elvis Presley cover, the Johnny Cash remake & this version, and of all of them: Johnny’s version serves as a word of warning, whereas yours is just plain badass.

Manson has such an interesting place in music. Art is a reflection of life, and let's face it, it isn't always pretty. I have never thought that Manson's music was really glorifying some of the sometimes (or often) unpleasant subject matter of the songs themselves. There are some ugly things, but that are always presented in a very honest way. He always has a great band.

Yeah he's one of the most brilliant music artists ever. An example: Go back and watch his music video for Man That You Fear and then right after go watch God's Gonna Cut You Down. Just keep in mind how much time passed between those songs but they complete the whole story and show the actual ending. Marilyn Manson isn't satanic, he doesn't even believe in the devil but he was brilliant pointing out all the hypocrisy in churches, Christians, ect.

I feel like with age he has toned down, but gotten better. His voice of course rattles from all the past screaming, but I love it. He has a voice all his own.
