This is notorious issue. Should have been a recall by Cadillac to replace or fix all when issue occurred.

hello my driver's side 2009 CTS door lock would not unlock when I am near the door. I was told I would need the door latch, lock and harness. Why would I need to replace the lock if I am replacing the Front Door Lock Actuator latch? Do I need a new harness as well? I think the mechanic is trying to pad his bill

That’s ridiculous there are so many steps.. I bought a new actuator prior to watching your video. I hope I don’t need to purchase any other parts.. would I still be required to do all the steps you did, before you remove your actuator? Or would you recommend just disconnecting the old actuator and replacing it with the new?

spraying with WD-40 so far solved door problems on my CTS 2010.

Worked for mine for awhile, now more driver side won't open from the outside. I don't have the remote start thingy like the video CTS tho. Back back doors don't always unlock also 🤦🏽‍♂️
