      Red flag for a guy when he monstly dates women that are like half his age. I geniunely think that a 40-year-old telling a 20-year-old "she's so mature for her age" that he's trying to groom her, even if she's a legal adult, it's still sus.

    “Of course the sex was awful, *you* were involved”
    Brutal, I adore it.
    The alpha/beta stuff really bothers me, because not only is it only applicable to manufactured wolf packs, it’s not even a constant across them. With that one Yellowstone pack they created as a reintroduction experiment, the biggest, strongest wolf ended up as the omega. The alpha wolf was smaller and, as far as anyone could tell, got to be alpha because of his sheer Dad Energy. He was smart, caring, and calm in a crisis. The beta wolf, in that pack, was the big strong enforcer, who still wasn’t throwing his weight around the whole time, because again, he was confident in his own self. Like, if you’re going to cite an unnatural situation and pretend that a) applies universally, and b) even applies to an animal which has largely lost any instincts it might have had, replacing them with rational thoughts (you know, like, uh, what are they called… oh yeah, humans), what qualifies that one unnatural situation over all the others? Halfwits.
    Also love how guys like this always act like getting a random woman in a club to sleep with them is them somehow tricking her into letting him ‘win’ or whatever. No, dude, homegirl just wanted an itch scratch and you obliged.
    Also also, exclusively calling grown women ‘girls’, and then picturing what they looked like as a child while having sex with them? Telling on himself a little there, eh?

      I just find it strange that this group in the so-called "man-o-sphere" treat dating kind of like hunting rabbits, without much recognition that the women ("girls") are actually human beings: Probably most of their mothers and sisters were also women. If it weren't for the social effects of it, it would be interesting to investigate how their theorizing and categorizing are kind of like doing sports statistics and other traditionally-male pursuits, but applied to dating. It does seem like most of them have a very passing knowledge of science but are running with a statement or idea they ran into briefly, in a kind of unrealistic "logical headspace" nearly apart from human nature or with a pseudo-scientific collection of experiements supporting theories. Another thing I haven't yet seen but imagine does exist is the application of this sort way of thinking of pursuing sex to gay relationships. I haven't seen women nor transmales do it online in any explicit way, which is also interesting.

    Philosopher Martha Nussbaum talks about 10 modes of objectification:
    1. instrumentality (person as a tool for objectifier’s purpose);
    2. inertness (treatment of the person as lacking in agency);
    3. fungibility (person as interchangeable with other objects);
    4. violability (treatment of a person as having no boundaries or integrity);
    5. ownership (person as property);
    6. denial of autonomy (treatment of a person as having no self-determination);
    7. denial of subjectivity (person’s feeling or experiences need not be taken seriously or into account);
    8. reduction to body (or to body parts);
    9. reduction to appearance (value of a person bound to how their appearance is pleasurable to the to the objectifier’s senses);
    10. silencing (treatment of a person as lacking capacity to speak).

      Inertness. The objectifier treats the object as lacking in agency, understood as “the capacity to act, plan and exert self-control” […]. Denying agency implies the Other’s behavior is “caused rather than propelled by personal will,” which contributes to inertness and mechanistic dehumanization. […] Stereotypes that describe groups as inert can justify preventing those groups from exercising agency. For example, poor people and immigrants are stereotyped as lazy, and this accusation is deployed to say that they are undeserving of resources.
      Denial of autonomy. Agents deny Others’ autonomy, by presuming that Others’ goals are the same as the Agents’ goals, such as the idea that women desire their objectification as men do. […] Presuming that Others’ goals are the same as Agents’ goals is not just an interpersonal issue. Claiming that others lack independent goals or the capacity for independence, as is done to children, adolescents, the elderly, ethnic minorities and others, can serve to publically justify practices and policies that restrict the Others’ self-determination, such as denying education and voting rights. […] Agents can restrict Others’ autonomy using the rationale that it is the Others’ best interest.

      You can be in love with a girl who friend zoned you. Then you find no other choice to stay. Or become a man and say no.

    They see sex as something that men achieve rather than participate in. The goal is to prove oneself, not to enjoy. As extreme as Roosh is, I would point to Joss Whedon who in a interview claimed that he thought he would regret it is he did NOT cheat on his wife, is he did NOT use his power to get sex. Joss Whedon with all his achievements, wealth, multiple successful and beloved franchises credited to his name, Hollywood recognition, thought he would regret his life is he didn't have more sexual partners.
    In addition they alternate between thinking that women are dishonest about their sexual desires and thinking that women's desires are unimportant. I suppose in the past women often "played hard to get" and so if you wanted consent you had to look to subtle signs. Even today it is rare to literally say "Yes, let's have sex!" Of course women who were too honest about liking sex would get slut shamed.
    On the opposite end of the misogyny spectrum you have Harris O'Malley, AKA Dr. Nerdlove, saying "A women's vagina is not mjonlir, it does not deem who is worthy!" (Who better to comment on toxic masculinity than a Pick Up Artist turned feminist.) One of the most important parts of rape culture is this notion that men need to have sex with lots of women to be worthy, and equally important is the notion that women don't ever consent to sex.

      Yes, @Quantum Inc, I often get the impression among the frequent posters in this submovement of the bigger men's movements that this PUA "game" is about social climbing among the members of the men's movement, rather than actually scoring: Much like virtue signaling in the woke movement. (The leaders likely are making money more than "scoring" too.) Among the followers I've observed studying these websites, it seems some love the gaming aspect, and many are truly socially awkward, not too smart, socially handicapped, mentally/emotionally wounded or ill: They want some concrete direction on how to at least meet a woman and have something positive from the interaction. There is an unrecognized (and very small, unvocal) minority of PUA who actually are respectful men who are honest with women in what they are doing. So, even with only a little intersection with them, the PUA movement is more diverse than outsiders may think from seeing what's posted. There are many in the greater men's movement who feel disaffected, ignored, or hurt by the changes in society: They can all complain together with people who can understand where they are coming from: Statements like society has abandoned them, men have no purpose in society, they get no pleasures they value from society, society just removed all their value except to work for the system, the system is rigged against them or everything is stolen from them (esp through divorce), noone cares about men's feelings & complaints, men assumed to be evil, breaking moral rules because they completely lost everything already (women don't need us, so we trick them), noone listens to my concerns & needs because snotty men must "suck it up", they're told today's men must pay for the sin's of their fathers, etc. Making fun of them, labeling them as evil nuts, public shaming, and insistence on their invisible privilege during their misery strengthens their beliefs, increases their misery, fuels desperation, and justifies their rule breaking (PUA) or complete withdrawal from civil society (MGTOW). They also often lack "successful male role models" of attaining sex or maintaining heterosexual relationships in their family life; and display much jealousy over sexual success shown in the media. But, to my main point in this response: At the higher levels of the PUA specifically, I think that, apart from some notably-awful exceptions, the vast majority of PUA publications is fiction and partially-true stories (i.e., paying for their sexual encounters): At the lower levels of PUA, it's stupid people believing the higher levels and actually doing stupid things.

    What's the weirdest about this pickup culture, is that the men who teach the less lucky men to exploit women to get what they want, also actually exploit the men who use their services. I once watched a documentary about the pickup artists, and it's clear that their courses and books and anything they sell cost fortunes and they still don't quarantee their methods give any results.
    In fact, they know that most of their customers are beyond any help and they just make money with the desperation of the men who are so unlucky that they're ready to believe anything. In fact, their "help" just makes these men more unlucky and (thinking they are) more and more dependent on their services so they'll have paying customers that never leave them. The same tactics that many religious groups use. Desperation makes you to believe in miracles, and some people are evil enough to exploit that.

      Woman won't be harsh enough to wake you up.
      The basic is that woman won't lie but they do not want to hurt your feelings. Maybe an older woman who is your relative can you give a good adwise.
      Lots of woman will write a list what they are looking for in a man then go with an asshole who does not give a shit. Woman who only knows what they TRULY looking for when they see it. Like in a loong shopping session then you find THE ONE shoe. :D
      Mostly take advice from a successful man in a long happy relationship or a guy like Coach Corey Wayne who teaches how to apply long term changes in your life to attract the right woman for you.

      Also it wouldn't hurt you asking women about diferent topics. Saying is preferable to talk with men about what women want says a lot of who you see women.

      @@hokiturmix Okay, lesson number one. Thank you for serving as an example btw (yikes). Lesson number one on "how to connect with women": Don't generalize women. View women as adults and individuals.
      There, you're welcome. No, really take it. It's free, I insist. (*remembers he wants me to be harsh*) Alright I gotta do it for my sisters out there and for this lost soul. Let's dive a bit deeper.
      First, if women don't want to hurt men's feelings it's generally not out of kindness, but out of fear of a (male) stranger's reaction. If you are a friend, there is no need to go out of our way to say truths in harsh ways, you are showing us your vulnerability by asking us questions, so I don't see the point of being mean or rude when it's already hard enough to open up.
      1. Women do not go with assholes, they go with assholes who pretend to be nice guys, men who actually know how to listen to what she wants, becomes a copy of that and once she is in love he abuses her. THEY ARE NOT assholes from the start and it is not the abuse they like, it's a bond caused by emotional trauma that makes them stay. It's called a narcissist and men are also often victims of female narcs. So technically, men also go with "b*tches" instead of nice girls. Ouch!
      2. I knew what I wanted from the age of 15 and found it at the age of 19 and now I am 26 and still with that man (7 years anniversary coming, yay!) and no it didn't take me a "long shopping list". I will call you out on this as well, it was a sexist stereotype you used as a comparison, "women like shopping" my ass. I HATE shopping okay, and a lot of women hate it too, enough to say it's far from an exception. You sound like you need to have more interactions with women, you seem to lack actual knowledge on real life women and not media stereotypes. (harsh enough I hope)
      3. Most definetly don't take advice from successful people who are completely out of reach with the reality of things, and just use you for their success. They will give you only ONE way to do things pretending it's the ultimate path to ONE type of happiness that might not even make YOU happy.
      4. Find women, ask women. And if you're shy, watch videos of people asking women on TH-cam. Just type "we ask women questions men are scared to ask" and such. Wanna know the best thing about it? It's freeeeee!

      @ernie39 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@hokiturmix Women, particularly if they don't know you well, are likely to "not be harsh enough" because they are afraid of violence and/or don't feel comfortable sharing personal information with you. But if you're asking a woman you've established trust/friendship with about what she's comfortable with and desires in a relationship, you'd probably get a pretty clear answer depending on how relevant that information is to your relationship and how healthy/direct both of your methods of communication are. Long-term romantic relationships tend to be based on friendships, and a healthy friendship tends to involve learning and understanding each others' boundaries and personalities.

Here's my comment, written to be helpful and interact with your statement. He should be allowed to publish nearly anything, as you and other should also review it and criticize it in a free society. It is best to discuss and solve issues with people that you disagree with, especially if they are promoting wrong thinking or (worse) wrong actions, rather than silencing all discussion in an authoritarian manner. China is doing a great job developing a surveillance, police state to make a perfect society, after all: There, citizens don't need to worry about encountering challenging or upsetting topics, and solving those issues together in public as a society. This is why all these comments, including yours here, are so valuable. Let him speak and have a dialogue in public without secrecy. ..... I'll add that, if he has given enough evidence to breaking laws, he should be prosecuted. This applies to things anything criminal, from sexual abuse to suppressing speech.

Maybe you’re arguing that without the book being published, people won’t be able to criticise and expose the book for what it is. But I don’t think a book was needed for people to realise that kind of toxicity and it would have come out into the open through some other form. That said, I appreciate the thoughtful discussion.

      @@kneerunjun Great reply, Niranjan. Yes, it's maddening -- isn't it? --when people profit from bad behavior, bad situations, etc. My comment wasn't about informing people of toxicity. We're likely going to be more successful by having a discussion with him and potential followers in the light of day. Yelling at people we disagree with and demonizing them is a great way to get them to both dig in their heels and go underground to do worse damage that is hard to root out. It is better to discuss things and come to right thoughts and negotiate good solutions for all the individuals and spectrum of our society. I want a better place to live in and a better place for the future--not to just win nor merely show off I'm right. That's my opinion for now, unless I'm convinced otherwise ... through discussion with those whom I disgree.

    • @LeonCouch
      @LeonCouch 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Another thought I had, which I didn't mention is that there is an attempt to police bad behavior without really listening to the discontent in our society -- however awful their behaviors -- to understand the reasons that cause those bad behaviors. (It is a real mistake to think that a person who makes one error in his/her/they's life must only be full of errors without ability to change, and have nothing valuable to contribute to this world: Some of the best contributors to Western society have also done bad things, and visa versa.) I think we should read and listen sympathetically to such disenfrancised people such as these (probably misguided) dating coaching and the rapidly-growing "man-o-sphere" -- not merely dismissing everyone we disagree with by labeling them as psychopaths and such (although they may be) -- so that we can fix underlying problem and issues for as many people in our society as possible. It is possible that they have legitimate, serious issues -- regarding the current discussions of gender, class, equity, equality, etc. -- which haven't been uncovered. I suspect also that, as with all huge changes in any field from medicine to nuclear power to social/political theory, there will be many unintended, horrible consequences for whole classes of people whom we are not really considering during those implemented changes we believe will create a better world. In our zealousness to do what is right, we can do a lot of wrong by not listening, moderating, negotiating, and proceeding at a wise speed. This seems to be a fact of human history, technology, thought, etc.

Being rejected by women and having to use "tactics" and even force to have disapointing sex is disregarded since he "is a player" and therefore it is just part of the process. Therefore he can still see himself as the main character and not worry about the damaging effect he has on others. What baffles me is that he can talk about a person and recognize that what he has done is terrible "I ruined sex for her, poor girl" and still lack even the slightest self-reflection. It is truly fascinating and horrifyig seeing this being brought to the light and hope it helps at least some people become aware of people like this and cause them to intervene. Thanks for the scary yet entertaining ride!

    I actually used to dislike dogs quite a bit. My reason for that? In my country many people don’t train their dogs, so whenever you go you get constantly barked at through the fences. Accross my house is a dog like that and I had many sleepless night due to his constant barking. That being said, it only caused me to avoid dogs, not be hateful towards them. Of course that has changed after I had the chance to help to raise a puppy and I understood how amazing dogs can be if trained at least a little bit.
    Just wanted to put it out there, because many people who dislike dogs (and I don’t mean hate, just a slight dislike) is usually due to similiar bad experiences withe dogs while growing up. But you are completly right, this attitude can change, it just takes a bit of time.

    I am weirdly confused by one specific comparison of his: that back when humans lived in tribes, it was only the alpha males that got women. Yes, in tribes women often preferred men that were strong and dominant and good hunter but that was because he provided protection and stability and food. Does he believe in tribes men just went around looking for casual sex only to disappear afterwards? Does he think they just left the tribe and didn't take care of these possibly pregnant female members of his tribe? I would love to see these nomadic tribal lovers that survived on their own just so they could hook up with women without responsibility.

    Thanks for talking about Roosh! I'm a guy that's long been disturbed by his material. Recently, he apparently became an Orthodox Christian and disavowed some of the stuff be promoted in those books but I question his sincerity and whether he's fundamentally changed.
    Anyway, I work with this older dude who my family hired as a job coach (I'm on the autism spectrum), and him and I talk a lot about social issues, including about the kinds of things Roosh promotes. What's funny is that my job coach and I came up with idea that Roosh is as bad as fried poop, and my job coach has pointed out that the name Roosh sounds a bit like someone flushing a toilet:)

    Honestly if someone says they hate dogs (and cats) it"s the biggest red flag for me. I dont even have to know more. about them I don't think I would want to get to know someone who starts the the conversation with decalring their hatred for dogs,
    By the way you are so lucky to have Kyra in your life. She is is adorable❤️

    What he wrote is not “the right path”… it’s not even the right forest. This is in that cursed horror-forest where everything is scary and twisted and wrong… and I dislike how someone can take themselves seriously while in that forest… the things he described and admitted to should land him a conversation with law enforcements…
    Anyways… good video, as always. Love seeing you and Kyra interact

    Story time, about the time when his first book came out, I lived in va and often went out to wine festivals because I like them. I once had a creepy older dude come up and touch my upper back tattoo and ask what it meant. I said "it's personal" and got away pretty quickly. I'm not saying the two similar stories are connected... but wouldn't it be funny if they were
