Its Mannie that puts the team under tremendous pressure. If South Africa was serious about an attacking backline you need mids like Ruan Janse Van Rensburg Henco van Wyk and that colourd kid at 12 from the Stormers... it's a farce to play Libbok and what's worse is that he seems to be our only backup? Rassie has done nothing to blood new talent in his tenure only quotas. We going to see the cracks next year as it's already in our junior levels... SARU showed it's hand against Arg in the rugby championship and they have yet to announce a replacement for Rassie. I can tell you Stix won't hi down well with the public

Best flyhalf SA has ever produced. The fact that he can crashball, defend, open play kick, kick at poles and distribute makes him the most all round flyhalf in SA. Libbok can only sidestep, open play kick and distribute. "can't take on a solid defensive system, can't defend which means someone else has to cover him, and the obvious one"

Barrett was once the in form first five but with Mo’unga there foster doesn’t know where to put him he’s to good to cut from the AB’s in his day he was 10 times better than Mo’unga! Mo’unga crumbles under pressure
South Africa missed 11 points worth of kicks against the Irish. If only Pollard took those chances.... And Pollard is more than just a great goal kicker. He's a world class rugby player. Can't wait to see him back in action.

Pollard passes well, does cross kicks, amazing goal kicks, he is strong, fast, reads the game like no one else, and most importantly, saved our asses in the world cup. give the man his respect

The Boks should have both Pollard and Libbok in the squad. Libbok at 10 and Pollard at 12. That’ll be a good combo because they both played together at Blue Bulls. Libbok will be the attacking weapon mid game and Pollard doing the kicks whilst doing his big hits. The super 10 formation will definitely be solid.

We like you too man. SA NZ rivalry is what makes rugby what it is. Both countries have had ups and downs but when SA face NZ you know your in for good game. NZ have the most respectful players and fans - just humble people.

I think Mapimpi might make it back into the team. KLA did not have his best game against Ireland, he is still a work in progress. Mapimpi however has the experience and is a strong player.

We think he is one of the best flyhalves in the world, so why play him at 13? Sorry for the rest of the rugby world who wished we would stick with "Manie can't kick Libbok", Pollard is back. Manie needs to work on his BMT and goalkicking.

I think both Willemse and Libbok are becoming consistent, Libbok’s defensive work has been amazing lately. Agree that Pollard should start for now, if his kicking is in a good place.
@@Me-ic3li Libbok had a 18% tackle success rate in the friendly matches before the RWC. 1 out of every 5.5 tackles made. We can't win a WC with him. Fly half is the channel the opposing forwards run at when receiving the ball. I think they need to start Libbok more often in international games after the RWC to develop him, but as of now, he is not ready.

It's his defence that's why we like him... Teams run onto Libboks channel and man handel him, Pollard is a way more dominant presence and his kicking out of hand is way better

Loved him in u20s while still in High School and think I'd take him over Dan Carter . Hear me out guys. DC is the one. Probably the best (in my humble opinion, the best). No BUTS here. Pollard is the perfect fly half for what the Boks want to achieve
I'd even go as far as saying he is even more talented than Manie and Willemse. And those guys have pedigree. I'm not comparing kicks because that's another topic. In terms of pure talent, Pollard is up there with the best that have ever done it.

Faf is the incumbent. The guy is a genius grant is young and he has a bright future but his game is still not rounded enough. Boks play off 9 we not NZ who plays off 10. I think grant is going to be an all time great but Faf is amazing... he lives the big games

He is way more balanced and his kicking and defense is way better... we have great outside backs so should be good. Give the ball to Kolbe he will find that tryline

He was injured, he had a calf injury when the squad was named...he was always first choice. Manie caught a lucky break.
