NHS experience does play a role when it comes to justifying your suitability for the IMT position but it’s not mandatory unlike the Crest form. I am making another video about the eligibility criteria, will provide the link in the reply. Stay tuned !
Hello. Can you please make a video on the break down of your points/ min points req to get an interview/ what all you had on your cv? It would be more helpful.
Hello mam i had a question Does the hierarchy system exist in UK too like how in india consultants abuse senior residents and then they do the same to juniors
It is sad that you’ve experienced that, the seniors that I had in India were nice to me. Talking about hierarchy, it is not as much as in India, the consultants are very approachable here. We’ve got issues like racism here 😉(atleast in some areas)
Hey, do u have any publications or poster presentations or audits on your CV which helped u secure the training spot ? How likely is it to get one without any of these ?
Heya. As a matter of fact, I do have 4 publications and a bit of teaching experience n internal presentations. Your total portfolio score should be an above the threshold in order to get shortlisted for the interview, whether you get it through MRCPs or publications doesn’t really matter. But the general rule of thumb is to work a lil in all the areas so you have a lil bit of score in each area, if that makes sense. Good luck!
@@lakshmis696 yes, i do have that. I think that should come under teaching. If you have evidence of presenting it, then I think you cam mention it as local presentation but I am not sure.
@@amen2040 I started my first paper with my consultant as an intern who knew what all journals to contact for that particular paper and sort of learnt a lot from that.
Entry to dermatology training is possible after completion of a foundation programme and a core training programme. I think you need to complete IMT/CMT year 1 and 2 and then apply for dermatology specialty training as ST3. You can read more about it (link down below) www.bmj.com/careers/article/the-complete-guide-to-becoming-a-dermatology-doctor
Hey Dr First of all congratulations to you for getting into IMT 🎉 I am looking to directly get into a training job. I have my CREST form joined and other than QIP, I guess I have some score in each sections. What score would be required in IMT 2025 ….as I see there was a score of around 16-18 for shortlisting in IMT 2024…can you reveal how much was your score….just to get an idea for me bcoz if I am not wrong ur profile that u have entered for shortlisting is before you have started the non-training job ….so I am guessing that whatever you have done in your non-training didn’t help in getting into IMT. Can you p,ease guide me through this… and also for teaching if our senior didn’t accept to give me the “teaching observation form signed or letter of recognition” is there any other way around to work through this?
I have talked about my score and the recent changes in IMT2025 applications in this video: PORTFOLIO SCORING FOR IMT APPLICATIONS 2025 th-cam.com/video/J3BouusIDvg/w-d-xo.html While most of my score was based on the activities I presented working in India, I think the new job gave me two very important things: 1) CREST form 2) Much needed NHS experience : got to understand the system and the expectations it has with its IMTs.
Can plz clarify the eligibility criteria for imt .. is it necessary to have experience after gmc registeration to apply for imt?

Hi. Were you having publications in peer- reviewed journals?
Will presentations done as a part of teaching sessions come under teaching?
@@MumtazKehhow did you go about having publications on pued,I am a bit lost when it comes to that

Congratulations for ur imt♥️ can u help me prepare for mine as i m blank at the moment
Sure
hey can you tell me that is it possible to get imt if you dont have any NHS experience
It is, as long as you get your CREST signed. I do not recommend it though.
PLAB or GMC regeneration is required before applying IMT training for IMG ?
GMR registration is necessary to apply but you need to be registered by the time you start your training.
@@MumtazKeh so for GMC regeneration I need to pass plab exam right ? Before starting of training ?
Can I get into psychiatry training without any nhs experience just by getting good Msra scores and getting my crest form signed from back home …
It is possible as they dont ask for your portfolio in psychiatry training applications.
