- VAN TOURS!!!! One of the events at Lulu's Way Meetup was the opportunity to tour other vans, suv's, and rigs!! It's one of my favorite activities - looking inside to see what someone else has thought of - so maybe I can steal an idea!!!

@@OutonaLimbwithKym I'll be leaving Illinois and heading to Arizona. I'm no sure if I'll make stops along the way but I'm getting excited. I will definitely put up an amateur video. I'm 57 and me and technology do not go together like hand and glove lol.

Lulu had quite a turn out. I'm so glad to see ladies gathering together like this. I loved all the vans. I have a tiny SUV. I've been sharing my progress in the Facebook group Jan has.

The dogs were all so sweet! You could hear Donovan talking as you walked away 😂 I'm amazed at what some people are able to do with suv's. Would have loved to see more of Theresa's van. The shower idea was cool!
I guess I'll just have to make another video at the next meetup!! LOL!! And this time work my way inside!!! I missed the dog gathering!!! I didn't get any videos at all. :-(
My dog is not accustomed to being around other dogs. She will need a crash course. 😫

My youngest son lives just outside Baltimore, love hanging out at Ft McHenry and Sparrow's Point when I'm down visiting

If I was single, then maybe a minivan. But right now, I love having a separate vehicle to run errands with after setting up our camper.
Yes, that is a huge plus. After I'm all set-up, I don't want to tear down my awning or anything just to go out. And I like running out to places close by. Definitely love the separate vehicle choice!!!

I just found your channel and I'm really impressed. I live too far away to meet up with everyone but it's so neat to see all these women ( around my age) get together for this. Is this annually too? I have camperized my little Transit Connect and it's such a fun hobby.

I am going to try to make it to one of these. I have just started collecting the things I need for camping in my SUV. I'm also purchasing an SUV tailgate tent with an awning shade which should be great for my little dog and myself. As a precaution, I plan on setting up at least two outdoor folding chairs and maybe even an old pair of men's shoes for when I travel alone.
Sounds great! I have a tailgate tent, too and it's great. I also use a side awning and I love it. You can actually open both side doors and change between the two doors, if the awning is down. I always have more than one chair and I love sitting them out. Men's boots are a good idea, but so is an NRA hat. LOL. If someone sits long enough, they can tell you're alone, so make them think you're packing, even if you're not. I saw a sticker on one ladies' van that said - nothing in this vehicle is worth you getting shot over. 💙
You guys play bingo at these events? I am definitely going to have to check a meetup like this when I hit the road soon. All these van builds are just cool. Thanks for sharing. I just subscribed to your channel too.

The minivans are just too small for me. The creativity is impressive.
I think for me, too. It's getting harder and harder for me to move around in the SUV. And I really don't see a minivan being much different. I need to upgrade!!!!
@@OutonaLimbwithKym I am building a gypsy wagon that will accommodate my needs even if I become more crippled than I am now. Everything is built to fit ME, no more footstools in the kitchen or beds that I have to climb into and fall out of!

I agree with the lady that said to show more SUB build outs if you can. I love the vans but I have a Subaru with an attached tent. Id love to see more SUVs. What brand of tent do you use?
My awning is an Hasaki. It's on Amazon. I have a few holes now and it's starting to show some wear. An awning is so important!!!

The weather will be improving so I won’t have to worry about snow. So I’m thinking mid April for safe weather travel. Fingers crossed Sister!!! We’ll be laughing our heads off!!😂😂😂

Best way to track meetups is to join the Facebook group: Butterfly Tribe Women who Camp. Then click on the events tab.

Join the facebook group: Butterfly Tribe Women Who Camp. Then go to the events tab and you'll see all the events that are planned. There are a lot of facebook pages out there though to join. Butterfly Tribe is the one that I use. There are two upcoming meetups in March, but both are full. I do one a few are in the works, so join the Facebook page!!!
How do you find out where the meetups are?
Join the Facebook group, Butterfly Tribe Women Who Camp and go to the events tab. Join the page and join in on the conversation and there are so many people there who will guide you. There are a lot of pages, but this is the one that I post my meetups to. You can check out the Facebook Page, Lulu's Way - Women's Meetups also. Follow the TH-camrs who attend the meetups, also!
Please provide info on other upcoming women van meet ups so I and others can attend .
The best thing to do is join the Facebook page, Butterfly Tribe Women Who Camp. Go to the events tab and you will find all the meetups listed there. There are a lot of other Facebook groups, but I only use this one. The upcoming larger meetups are all full right now. There will be a larger meetup in October, November, and December. That post will go up sometime in April. But there are a lot of smaller meetups. Middle of summer, not so much.

This meetup brought women from all over the country and Canada!!! We have a regular who travels from Missouri. Someone traveled from Oregon!! I'm hoping we have meetups in other states in the future. They are out there!!! I hope to join!

Lulu has another meetup in March, but it's full. I have a meetup in the beginning of March, and it's full with a waiting list. You can go to the Facebook Page, Butterfly Tribe Women Who Camp and join! Then check the events tab and you'll see some upcoming events.
What do you do at meet ups, do they cost anything, and why don't dogs have sun shelters?
Hang with friends, campfire, hiking, dancing, bingo, Q&A's, demonstrations. . . the list is endless. And most meetups do cost a small fee and the meetups last normally 3-4 days. This particular meetup was $30 for three nights. And the dog sun shelters are the responsibility of the owners. Most owners have awnings. And there is a pavilion. And lots of tree shade.

This was at the River Forest Group Camping in Deland, Florida. The cost was $30 from Sunday to Wednesday. $30 for 2 days & 3 nights is pretty common.
