신인 싱어송라이터 Tommy Kim(타미킴)의 세번째 싱글 “You Seem Happier, I’m Not”이 2021년 6월 22일 포크라노스를 통해 발매되었습니다.
Tommy Kim(타미킴)의 단순하지만 중독성 있는 멜로디와 풍성한 백그라운드 보컬을 통해 젊음의 풋풋한 감성이 느껴지며 어쿠스틱 악기와 일렉트로닉 소스가 깔끔하게 조합된 팝 베이스 곡입니다. 이번 신곡은 한국어와 영어로 된 두가지 버전으로 함께 발매 되었습니다. 한국어 버전은 가수 조규찬님께서 작사를 하였고 영어 버전은 Tommy Kim(타미킴)이 작사 하였습니다. 각기 다른 두가지 언어의 매력을 느낄 수 있을 것입니다.
“You Seem Happier, I’m Not”은 남겨진 사람에 솔직한 심정을 담은 곡입니다. 누구나 한번 쯤은 누군가에게 남겨진 적이 있거나, 누군가를 떠난 적이 있을것인데, 그 두가지 시점을 모두 생각해서 만든 곡이니 어느 입장이든 공감되는 곡이 되기를 바랍니다.

I think everyone at some point in their lives will have been left behind by someone they truly loved and saw a future with. I also think everyone at some point in their lives will have had to make the decision to leave someone, whether it was because they wanted to or not. Whichever way it goes, one side usually hurts a little more and a little longer than the other. I imagine “You Seem Happier, I’m Not” is what that person would honestly want to say but never gets the chance to. Personally, I’ve been on both sides so this song for me is both “To” and “From”. Whichever perspective you’re listening from, I hope it helps maybe gets something off your chest or maybe helps you realize you were really lucky.
