In the UK, I purchased a Riese & Müller Load 60 and sold my car, I also have a Riese & Müller Nevo for everyday use.
Urban Arrow have some great child transport options, seats, covers, child seat adapters etc.

Sounds awesome! I would love to test ride a Load 60 someday.

I love these videos! And always enthusiastic about Excel sheets : ) Looking forward to following you all on your journey. If your husband is taller, I’ll be curious to learn how comfortable he is with the bike (at 6’3’’ I’ve found many cargo bikes too low/small for comfort). Currently have a regular bike with a child seat for the younger kid and a trailer for the older one, but we’re at the limit, and I’m preparing to choose a cargo bike to carry both.

Thanks!! My husband is actually only a inch or two taller than me so we might not be much help in that department. We have a tandem that we ride together and don't even bother to move the seats when we switch spots.

cool video! even tho i have no interest in buying a cargo or bakfiets (i ride a regular mountain bike daily) because i don't have children and live alone this was very interesting nonetheless.
you said your city doesn't really have good biking infrastructure. how do you go from point a to b? smaller streets? parks? or are you willing to ride on stroads and usual roads with just painted lanes? never been to the usa so i don't really know what it's like anyway, but in not just bikes and other youtubers videos it often looks terrifying. especially when you have kids with you.
other topic, but are you filming in log? the colors are so flat. if you use a LUT for your specific camera you could get a higher contrast or color grade it more to your liking :)

So far I have been riding only on residential streets (speed limit is usually only 25 or 30 mph), paved recreational trails, or, when I have too, sidewalks and parking lots. If I can figure out a good way to do it, I'll make a video about how I get around.
And yes, the color in this video sucks. I'm very very new to making videos and messed up this footage. (And wasn't willing to reshoot it, lol) I think I've fixed the issue for future videos🤞🤞

This typeof bike turns commuting with a kid into quality time. Best investment ever.

I enjoyed your video. Nicely edited and a great clear story of how you came to own your new Urban Arrow. Good luck and I hope you have many safe and fun years with it.
I'm looking in from Ireland currently waiting on delivery next month of my first e-bike which is going to be an all round general purpose commuter workhorse, a Cube Kathmandu.
I don't have fun sized little people to transport so I couldn't justify the cost of a bakfiets type bike for myself no matter how much fun it may be.
I've been using large trailers with my ordinary hybrid bike for a few years now and because I only need to use one of them about every one in five rides it works out fine for me.
A €600 hybrid bicycle plus a €131 trailer gives me almost the capacity of a €6,000 cargo bike and a real world practical alternative to a car.
    Have fun and stay safe.

Thank you! And totally understandable! I could barely justify the cost of the UA with two tiny humans. I hope you love your Cube!

Welcome to the cargo bike tribe, I am curios how your experience will be. To be honest the 3 wheeled one is a lot more unwieldy and I managed to flip mine (when empty) a couple of times.

Thanks! I think I'll be happy with the two wheels too!
