Flashing Julia's Vegeta is such a bold choice. There is no dialog referencing Julia having drawn Vegeta to trigger it, it's just thrown up as if it's a helpful visual aide as to what Vegeta looks like. Like, yep, that's a Vegeta I guess...

Jacob’s Batman Ears are very Ancient Egyptian: the goal was to portray all of the iconic and recognisable features of a figure at once, so they twist the image to show many angles- that sideways pose isn’t literal, it’s made so as to show the shape of the clothes and the width of the chest at the same time. Having the front-facing ears on the side-facing head is just like, the Most Ancient Egyptian I’ve seen in modern well done my man!

The narrative arc of this episode is so beautiful. We start with the conflict of playfully haranguing Nathan, ramp up with the batman stuff till we hit Complete Absurdity 3/4 of the way through, and come to a peaceful resolution on Julia's sea captain.

god knows how by the end of the episode they managed to assert that the Joker and the sea captain are lovers, the Caribbean is only read right once the pirates are gone, and we all have an internal struggle of either being true or feeling stupid. this is art guys, art of the mind
I kinda love the tone of this video. Like, they're not exactly being passive aggressive to the audience, but like using sarcasm to kinda... highlight how silly some of the audiences concerns are. as far as things like, worrying they are actually hurting each others feelings when like, its just all banter. With each episode, Karina’s drawings just get spicier and spicier.
The storyline that this sea captain is the same as Julia's chips dog is beautiful. Dogs can't eat a large amount of pumpkin spice without it being potentially dangerous, so, in the effort to enjoy pumpkin spice to the fullest and therefore live his truth, the chips dog became human. Truly, an inspiration to us all.
