I was lucky enough to get one of these. They were sold through the official ZT website. I subscribed to the ZT newsletter, and several weeks before they were available, details of the sale were given. This included the day and time. You had to register at their website with all your information. At the appointed time, I was logged in and ready to go. The add to cart icon appeared which I immediately hit. Nothing happened for a few minutes and then I was put into a que. It was made clear that being in the que just improved my chances. About five minutes later, a screen popped up. I had fifteen minutes to claim my prize! I gladly gave them $400.00 an did not even gripe about having to pay the shipping. I own many ZTs and several Hinderers. This is by far the most handsome knife I own. Love your channel. Joe from Tennessee
You speak the truth Rob, I purchased the original 0392 for One All's Pub and it won't be leaving my collection anytime soon. It's considerably less flashy than the BRN GLD version for certain but no less brutally beautiful. A pleasure to fondle and worth every penny. Take Rob's advice folks, if you can find one and have the money buy without guilt or fear of regret.... Thanks for the honest review brother!!!
ZT: I have three. My 0561 came so-so sharp, I cut some carpet and it dulled pretty fast. It took forever, finally I was using a diamond sharpener, for me to get an edge on it. Now I like it. Next I got a 0630 Emerson. It is a great knife. Lastly, I bought a 0452CF. Detent was so strong I had a hard time opening it, but over time it loosened, it is fine now. I like all three now, but two of them needed attention out of the box.
The detention breaking in is normal on the 0452 and all knives, and the 0561 uses ELMAX and it gets burned during grinding so you have to grind away the burned part of the edge before it gets sharp again
Never seen a knife that I like so much that showed of the hardware like this. It's almost a industrial/brutalism design touch. The blade shape screams Contego to me. Your commentary about color is hilarious, thanks. Great review.
ZT one of my favorite brands. "Built like a beast". To me the 0560 and 0566 are the ones I will never get rid off. Fits my hands perfect. Good video mate. Agree them stopping thumbstud not very suitable for thumbflipping in my eyes. have a great weekend
I think you just might be a tease, Rob! I see them for more than $600...but don't have one myself. And, yes, it definitely needed that edge! Beautiful knife and work, brother.
I completely agree with ur statement of "better than a hinderer hinderer" I have a xm18 and a BWBRZ 0392 and the ZT will go in my pocket every time over the hinderer
You are crazy. ZT makes a great knife, but I'd take any Hinderer over any ZT every day of the week. I have the 0562CF, it's the perfect production flipper. I can't find anything I don't like about it...but I have several hinderers and in my opinion, there is a huge difference between the two. My hinderers weigh at least an ounce more than the 0560&0562. I'm not saying they are bad blades, but they def don't get the attention to detail a real Hinderer does.
Mine was very nice. Well worth the price...better than most customs I've owned. Made so well and outdid my Hinderer and popular maker overbuilt models. Cough cough I'm just not a Harpoon fan sadly.
Wow... A very impressive knife all-around! One of the most personally interesting ZT's I've seen, not even including the aesthetics. &Although I'm not a "fashionable" male... (at least as you seemed to intend.. Or in general, heh heh) In being obligated to be fluent in French, aubergine simply means "eggplant." Merely for future reference. Great review! Definitely appreciate the high integrity and attention to/eye for small detail you use throughout every video. Always excited for the next review... be it FSB or otherwise!
Christopher Johnson I just acquired a all black 0392, serial 0065 today. A beautiful work of art that has incredible build and performance. Mine is sharp! ZT’s rule.
The fact that this is limited production and has a limited production price really hurts me. I want this knife... but I want it as a user and not as a safe queen.
Great review (as always) Rob of a beautiful knife. Just a small observation of the vid though (not the knife) - the sound kept falling off and then returning to normal as though you were turning slightly away from the microphone occasionally. Not a major problem, just thought I'd mention it. God bless mate..
The blade measurements seem to make sense to me. They are probably speaking of actual sharpened blade 3.5 and then when you measure to the handle you are getting 3.625, which looks about right.
Thanks for nice review, Rob! But for me this strong detent that you can't open it through stoppins is not a problem. It's a realy PLUS! Because knife is trully safe , that never open in your pocket. I hate week detens!
I had a 392, I liked it, carried for a week. Decided the 562CF is a better knife, IMO. Traded it to a friend for another 562CF and cash. Didn't "love " the harpoon either
nice review. starting to be a real ZT fan. just me but 3 diff colors bit much and the non working thumb studs and redundant travel stops ? nice reach for ZT but for me it misses for true industrial elegance i believe they where shooting for.
Enjoyed and that is a very nice knife. Just thought I would throw this out. But Hinderer people and that 1st also you kind buy a spanner bit # 12 or 14 and it will fit that pivot perfect. I get mind on beat and one seller sells them for 4 dollars and so many cents and that is free ups friend shipping free. I MY be the only person that did not know this. May the blessings of the Lord be upon you all.
Not analogous to M390... 20CV and 204P has .5 less silicon. And you were right about 98% of your subs preferring KVT; I have teflon washer knives and the actions are fine, but KVT is superior by far. These were MAV priced at $375, but sell a minimum of $500 on secondhand.
+Whitevaliantwarrior Not too much money, because you could buy it for $375 and it now sells for a minimum of $500 on the second hand market. That makes it a good investment, well, considering one is willing to part with it.
Aubergine is a different name for an eggplant, hence the colour. Same thing, other name. It's not about fashionable, heterosexual or whatever you come up with......... it's about knowledgeable.... Nice knife by the way!!
I like humor as much as the next guy Rob but not at the expense of other people. I"ve seen a lot of your videos and really like the way you look at knives, very informative. But it's a knife channel, please keep it that way. At the same time i know it's your channel so you are free to say what you want..... and so am I. I will keep watching them though ;)

Lol...aubergine. My wife was listening while I was watching this review and we both laughed out loud. Great review as always Rob!

Just bought the 7th of the line, I love the 0392!
Truly exceptional.
Mine was very nice. Well worth the price...better than most customs I've owned. Made so well and outdid my Hinderer and popular maker overbuilt models. Cough cough I'm just not a Harpoon fan sadly.
Hey Rob there's a little bit of a hum in your audio, FYI. Thanks for the speedy uploads!

Yup. Thats why i picked one up. Now i just have to eventually send it out to ya.
What an awesome knife but there is one HUGE problem with it Rob....I can't afford it :(
+
Just picked up the latest all black one, nice knife.
Christopher Johnson I just acquired a all black 0392, serial 0065 today. A beautiful work of art that has incredible build and performance. Mine is sharp!
ZT’s rule.
I have one, the only downside is that they didn't mill out the handles! It's a sick knife though
Sold on left hand carry option. Why does hinderer not offer this?
Huh, and here was me thinking that the Copperhead, aka Mr Aubergine Head, was my ultimate Grail ZT... how naïve I was. Great vid Rob.
Do you offer sharpening services? I would love that mirror finish on my 0452CFM390BLU and 0095BW
dmcguy Click on the video linked in he first 3 minutes of all my vids. All my info is in he video and description.
Yeap, he does. Abit of a wait atm though :(
it is the Eklipse model i want most....maybe not in this color combo.....but its a fantastic blend of frame and alternate blade profile
The fact that this is limited production and has a limited production price really hurts me. I want this knife... but I want it as a user and not as a safe queen.
I prefer Teflon washers over bearings too!
Great review (as always) Rob of a beautiful knife. +paul greenwood I think that is because of the knife flip causing the built in compression on the camera microphone to kick in.
The blade measurements seem to make sense to me. They are probably speaking of actual sharpened blade 3.5 and then when you measure to the handle you are getting 3.625, which looks about right.
DId you purchase a 0392 yet Rob?
I'm in love I think I need one except you can get a hinderer for about the same price so it's a toss up I guess
+Josh Wade I thought the same thing but this has better steel, better fit/finish, better action, and its limited runs.
Great review Sir!
Thanks for nice review, Rob! But for me this strong detent that you can't open it through stoppins is not a problem. It's a realy PLUS! Because knife is trully safe , that never open in your pocket. I hate week detens!
What frustrates me about ZT knives is their limited runs which make it very very difficult for the average knife enthusiast to buy one.
great knife
Answer:debatable, at least top 5 in my opinion. I have all of these ZT0392’S and this being my favorite variant I have 3 BRNGLD’s.
I had a 392, I liked it, carried for a week. Decided the 562CF is a better knife, IMO. Traded it to a friend for another 562CF and cash. Didn't "love " the harpoon either
Have both, the 392 is miles above the 0562cf it is not even funny. Especially the pivot sucks on the 0562cf (and 0801).
nice review. starting to be a real ZT fan. just me but 3 diff colors bit much and the non working thumb studs and redundant travel stops ? nice reach for ZT but for me it misses for true industrial elegance i believe they where shooting for.
Beyond nice I agree👍
Mine is serial number 357, just 2 after that one!
God I love that look... Why does it have to be so expensive... And limited edition...
what a silly question
Glenn056 I disagree. It is an excellent question. Limited runs are offered to ensure good sales and to jack up the price.
I love my ZT562CF
Enjoyed and that is a very nice knife. Just thought I would throw this out. But Hinderer people and that 1st also you kind buy a spanner bit # 12 or 14 and it will fit that pivot perfect. What?
+James Franco It is called a spanner spanner bit. You can get them on eBay they will fit in a screw driver adapter and fits the hinderer perfect.
Is that a easy steel to sharpen? Is it easier or harder than S35VN?
204p is up there, it is very hard and will give you a run for your money.
I like the teflon better also.
Anything that is not brown or red is maroon. :) Texas A&M Grad.

We didnt trade in the end so I don't really have a say in this.
Saw one on eBay and the bid was $750.
Too overbuild, too flashy and "billboardish" (being a ZT) knife to my liking. Thank you for your video, Rob.
B e a u t ful
Aubergine means eggplant. Tastes good deep-fried.
12:17
Beautiful knife, too much money...
+Whitevaliantwarrior Not too much money, because you could buy it for $375 and it now sells for a minimum of $500 on the second hand market. That makes it a good investment, well, considering one is willing to part with it.
I love, ZT this one is ugly.
lol im selling mine for 550
