And now this boss got easier cause we now KNOW he can be staggered. I love vids like these, whenever a boss is shown to he parriable or staggered, the stress goes down
@@drexalte69 tbh I truly cant say. A few bosses I fought never got staggered despite me keeping the pressure up and usimg weapons that deal high poise damage
@@hidan407 Yes I think literally every boss and maybe even enemy I can think of can be staggered. For me to trigger certain bosses I need the charge attack talisman and the physic that makes stance breaking more easy, and of course I gotta do fully charged attacks.
@@hidan407 if u didnt know, enemies' poise resets over time but it depends on the boss/enemy. could be 10 seconds, could be like 6. so if you dont hit them for a certain number of seconds their stagger is completely reset :(
Well done. I have noticed that with these DLC bosses it does not matter how well the fight is going. They can turn it around at any point and destroy you. I have see fights that are literally flawless and then a mistake can end you right at the end just like that. Congrats again in the victory :)
ancient dragons lighting strike wrecks him too one charged cast in the right spot can take half his health, providing he stays still long enough for that
@@ghastlyanarchy1720 you can spam the uncharged cast pretty quickly and if you get him side on you're hitting for 4-6 strikes which still is a large amount of damage, even more if it's charged which honestly the charge isn't too bad if you wait for the right window, you can even throw out a summon to keep him occupied while you cast it or you can work it into stagger Crits, as soon as he's down use a full charge that's most likely going to hit harder than any critical strike will with all the talisman buffs you can use now to boost incantation and lighting damage
@@chrisread6292 well I'll bare that in mind for my next run of it. I already beat the dlc in full on ng+5 and going to go through the base game with the new weapons and other such stuff on ng+6 and then go back to the shadow realm. Maybe I'll give that spell a shot against him, it is a favorite of mine.
You can stagger him even harder with the perfect block sekiro potion and counter attacks from block, most of his attacks are fairly long to perfect block.
I think the worst part of this DLC is that if you try to play like you normally would in the main game it is a slog, but you can trivialize the entire thing with basically any greatshield. The boss design is overall terrible imo.
I had the chance to beat him again in NG+ but this time I managed to beat him more easily with impenetrable thorns, so i recommended you guys to put on alberich set, lord of blood exultation, stonebarb cracked tear, trolls roar or greyolls roar and the best staff that you can wield or staff of guilty and spam those thorns, in seconds you will break his stance use that chance to crit hit him and continue

Cragblade makes your weapon deal much more poise damage when paid with charged heavy attacks, iron balls deal, arguably, the most poise damage because of how fast the charge attack comes out. And giving it the cold affinity to proc frost bite will make the enemy slower so even easier to land the hits without much worry.
If you run to the left theres a wall. Lead him to the other side of it then stand on one side with the blood trident. The boss cant hit you and dies instantly. I beat him first try with this method😂😂

0:57 Peak hitbox right there.
I enjoy seeing this boss get whipped, lord knows he whipped my ass many times before I finally beat him!
I did something similar with a greatshield and guard counters, looks like this boss is fairly easy to stagger. Good stuff 👍
Big thanks for showing the build at the end
Commander gayass down 🔥
Sounds kinda..... Shitty 😂😂😂
Thank you a lot. Beat it at third try with this build. Easy and satisfying way to beat this broken boss.

All those heal whiffs near the end lol. I bet your heart was pounding out of your chest.
For me piercing fang on a great katana is what made this boss fight easier.
I'm on ng+6. I wish it was this easy.
Exactly. Kills my level 400 in 1 hit.
Not sure why I see people taking multiple hits from him.

I used the Mimic Tear with Pest Thread Spears and Knight’s Lightning Spear on 70 Faith build to beat this guy.
I used the thorns build with my mimic tear and hid behind the corner so he couldn't touch me.
I died so many times that I was tired of his shit.
