Nice detector. Im currently using the ace 400 with DD COIL. don't think ill be able too afford that bad boy.. but very nice foresure. Would love too see a garret shovel in my hands though. Its rough digging with a short handled shovel with bad knees.
You might consider getting a andiconda instead of a garett because believe it or not and I just ordered one, I was going to order a garett but found out that their made in China,the Andiconda is made in USA so I ordered the Andiconda.Ive been to two welding schools and metalurgy and to this day China still can't make decent steel let alone a decent weld.Believe me I could tell you stories that will make your toes curl backwards.Been welding since 1980 and started in Texas.
Can't wait to get my hands on one!Looks a massive improvement on the electronic side and the wireless headphones look top quality. Just a few questions.... ....Are Garrett looking at firmware upgradeable machines in the future? Also as you can see in the video the coil wire is very fiddly and a pain to change. Don't feel bad, I wanted one when I was 15 yrs old but my mom was against it, thought it was built only for looking for u-ra-ne-um, not silver,gold ect...My dad was for it, but I never got one till now.52 year's and it popped in my head one day,went online,still remembered the name GARETT and ordered a GARETT AT MAX with extra accessories,paid less than $770.00, brand new! I've watched Part 1,2and 3 about the GARETT AT MAX on YOU-TUBE,2 times.
Awesome. Very exciting. I only bought my AT PRo about 4 months ago but maybe I can resell it. I've saved up enough money. Also weird to see Steve with no hat. haha.
Maybe you should keep the at pro, you MIGHT run into someone wanting to learn how to use it and later on they might be interested in buying it, you never know.
The only time I dug any nickels with the Pro was when they were in a coin spill, The Max sniffs them out, Then again, maybe I have cleaned out the park I have hammered
What a excellent 👌👍 idea, there's alot of Spanish Coins out there in the Ocean,Gulf of Mexico, around Florida and somewhat near the Atlantic Ocean, Silver and Gold.

I have AT PRO aftermarket coils - will they work with the MAX ?
Durrington Dave Yes. All Pro/Gold/Max coils are interchangeable even though they run at different frequencies. I have tested it with 3rd party coils.
YES - all AT PRO/GOLD (also NEL Mars DETECH) coils works also with AT MAX
