Thanks for watching! I've used this out live already at a jam session and it worked a treat. I had no issues with noise or buzz and it's powerful enough to run my entire pedalboard just out of the 300mA power output. I'll post a clip of the jam using it on my TH-cam stories coming up.

I've been using one of these since they released it. Very handy unit. As I have a large pedal board, I use two of these either side and have had zero issues. It does hold power for quite a long time. The usb output has proven very handy too. Also worth mentioning, you are able to charge while using

I buy one. They won't run a small multy effect board and one distortion. Makes a huge hum. Then when u plug back mains works perfectly

I've been using power banks to power my pedalboard for several years. You don't need one dedicated to pedalboards, just get a 5v to 9v converter. I also have a couple of dedicated 9v power banks, my favorite being the Tomsline APW-3, which is half the price of the unit reviewed here. Love them - no more wall warts or hum

10,000mAh banks last me at least three two-hour gigs. I prefer the smaller foot print of a 5,000mAh unit but then I recharge after every two-hour gig

The Tomsline APW-3 is twice the price of the Artist PBB01 in Australia.

These are great. I bought two of these. One for me and one for a mate. I use one mainly at home but he gigs regularly with his with around 8 pedals on his board.

Looks very practical. You should check out the Pastfx Canberra drive, it's based on the Carera, it hasn't left my board since I got it.

Hey Shane ... Always enjoy your reviews and this one on the PBB01 Battery Bank power supply is no exception. Just wanted to know whether
this unit from Artist is capable of powering both 9v and 12v pedals (I have both) simultaneously from the same unit or can you recommend a power supply that can (which won't break the bank). Keep up the great reviews. Cheers Pete

Those plugs are a deal breaker for me. Need to be right angle, and buying some just adds to the price.

Looks like a good power supply to me. I like the individual cables (better than the daisy chain I'm using now). From the Artist website, it doesn't appear they ship to the USA. Thanks for another great demo, review, and video, Shane. Please keep them coming.

Nice! Question about this unit? Even though I personally have never had a problem with the one spot, it is said that all the pedals in one string could cause noice issues because each pedal does not have a isolated power supply. Hence the many power supplies that have several isolated jacks. Because this is essentially one battery, are there no problems with noise, hum, etc.?

I bought one of these when it was first released, plugged in and hooked up and every pedal squealed with a high piercing noise when I stepped on them and turned them on, credit to Artist they did refund my money and let me keep the power bank witch I now use just to power my phone on the go but I was extremely disappointed it didn't work

  • @maxwrangler5788
    @maxwrangler5788 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Okay so I have no problem with finding cheaper alternatives to gear…. But the 1 spot has proven itself to be a very reliable piece of gear. It’s fine to save money but don’t skimp out on something that will make or break your rig….. it’s like having a nice car with a cheap engine in it…. Cool upfront, sucks when it goes out.

They've been around for several years now. My first was the Tomsline APW-5, later I found the APW-3 fit my board better. But any USB power bank will work with a 5v to 9v converter.

I’m sold!!! Although I do have a pedal board that’s self powered, I still needed a larger board for my oversized pedals. This unit will work perfectly for that!! 😎🎸🎸🎸🎸

The only issue I can see is that 300mA is a bit low for some pedals.

I use a Joyo Power Supply 5 ($AUS 100) also available from Artist Guitars. It has 8 outlets - 3 are 500mA + one 9/12/18V outlet. It's larger but very good; it's never let me down or run out of power on 3 hour gigs.

Cheap Chinese rubbish... mine sounds like loud bees buzzing in your ear when you plug any distortion pedal into this thing. Waiting for my refund.
