The first time I visited Japan, I was *amazed* by the fancy toilets and managed to order a Toto brand "washlet" seat that fits our throne back home. Husband was tentative at first but has since decided it's a very nice thing indeed. Thank you for sharing your home with us. As soon as the plague allows, I'm going back (a 4th time) to Japan. 😻

Hey Allison! Big thanks for this video, I just moved to my Japanese apartment and my bathroom is REALLY similar to yours, your video helped me understand the panels and buttons, it's tricky to figure this stuff out when you don't read Kanji (and especially when doing home quarantine 😅) so your video kind of worked like a guide to my Japanese bathroom!!
Your other videos on what to bring and what not to bring to Japan also helped me decide what to pack!! Thanks for the great content!! 👏

I’m glad it helped!!! Yeah bathrooms here are complicated even if you can read it 😂 Welcome to japan 🙏

Congrats on 3k!!! Honestly, you're so underrated! Hoping you get more subs soon!!!
Living vicariously through you! Been waiting for VISA to be approved to study in Japan, so watching your videos give me hope and something to look forward to when I finally move over!
Btw, I forgot if you've mentioned this before in a previous video but how much is your current apartment and what's the apprx travel duration to the city?

thank you!! I'm sure it will be approved soon 😭
It's 80,000 yen a month :) I live in Northern Tokyo, so I can get to like Ikebukuro and Ueno in under 30 minutes. Most of my commute time is from walking though because I don't live near the station 💀

I just found your channel from your 'how i wish i studied Japanese differently' video, I'm enjoying your takes on living in Japan! I've only been self studying Japanese for a little bit, and while I'm nothing more than a glorified weeb at this point, I love watching stuff like this! It makes me even more excited to keep learning the language, and hopefully go to Japan someday!! Subscribed!

That bath looks so nice. I hate the standard American shower bath combo.... You can't use the bathtub because it's so shallow! The laundry is a nice set up too.

    • @AllisoninTokyo

ahh yess that's what I hate about American baths 💀and you can't shower before you get in.....I could never do that now after living like this 😭
