Man this thing is sweet. I recently picked up a cheap 97 with the little 3.9. I got it because I wanted something I could take in the desert camping, hunting, and hauling dirt bikes around that I wouldn't worry about getting damaged like I do with my Silverado. I do use it for those things but it kinda turned into my daily. Idk why I like driving it as much as I do. It's incredibly slow, doesn't ride nearly as nice as my Silverado, the ugliest teal color a person could find, and has a crap radio. But for some reason I drive it way more than my nicer truck.
Literally my dream build besides the engine/trans would rather have a 4.7L with a manual but the auto trans is still strong enough for anything u could throw at a Dakota
I have a Dakota with 35's tho with stock 2.93 gears but a 4.7 v8 n a manual trans but it still does burnouts! Blow that v6 n swap the motor to a 4.7🙏 id be interested in where u got your bedsides and front fenders tbh👀
Please make a kit for this truck. nobody makes a long travel kit. let alone i bean set up that is bolt on this chassis. id pay good money and i bet many others would too!
There’s a manual 4.7 Dakota In my area for 2200 and I’m thinking of buying it for my first vehicle. My dad says he doesn’t trust Dakotas because his wheel fell of his. Is it true that Dakotas have week wheel hubs? Also would it be a good vehicle for me to buy for my first?

should mention how you cut the coil buckets in and notched the front end to fab that front coil
