Abu Umaamah Al-Baheli رضي الله عنه says that the Messenger ﷺ passed by him while he was moving his lips, so he asked: “What are you saying O Abu Umaamah?” He replied: “I am remembering my Lord.”
He ﷺ said: “Shall I not inform you of the most virtuous dhikr for the night and day? It is that you say:
اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ عَدَدَ مَا خَلَقَ
al-ḥamdu lillāhi ʿadada mā khalaq,
All praise is for Allah as much as what He has created.
وَالْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ مِلْءَ مَا خَلَقَ
wal-ḥamdu lillāhi mil’a mā khalaq,
All praise is for Allah as much as what can fill His creation.
وَالْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ عَدَدَ مَا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَالسَّمَاءِ
wal-ḥamdu lillāhi ʿadada mā fil-arḍi wa-s-samā’,
All praise is for Allah as much as what is in the earth and the sky.

And We settle in the wombs whom We will for a specified term, then We bring you out as a child, and then [We develop you] that you may reach your [time of] maturity. And among you is he who is taken in [early] death, and among you is he who is returned to the most decrepit [old] age so that he knows, after [once having] knowledge, nothing. And you see the earth barren, but when We send down upon it rain, it quivers and swells and grows [something] of every beautiful kind. “ Quran 22 : 5

I used to wonder if its possible for a necessary being to have a consciousness. I wondered if that was far-fetched. Then I realized that all it took was for our mind to have a particular configuration and it led to a consciousness (assuming there is no soul too), then why can't a necessary being have a configuration that too involves a consciousness?
I'm not using the word "configuration" for God, as I don't know if that is a suitable term/idea, but it still overcomes the psychological hesitancy that I felt.
Good question though. Consiousness is contigent though so it would make no sense god is concious since god is not a contingent being.

Hello. I am an atheist. I define atheism as suspending any acknowledgment as to the reality of any particular god until sufficient credible evidence is presented. My position is that *_I currently have no good reason to acknowledge the reality of any god._*
And here is why I currently hold to such a position. Below are 10 facts I must consider when evaluating the claim made by certain theists that a particular god exists in reality. To be clear, these are not premises for any argument which _concludes_ there to be no gods. These are simply facts I must take into account when evaluating the verity of such a claim. If any of the following facts were to be contravened at a later time by evidence, experience, or sound argument, I would THEN have good reason to acknowledge such a reality.
1. I personally have never observed a god.
2. I have never encountered any person who has claimed to have observed a god.
3. I know of no accounts of persons claiming to have observed a god that were willing or able to demonstrate or verify their observation for authenticity, accuracy, or validity.
4. I have never encountered any _valid_ logical argument, which also introduced demonstrably true premises that lead deductively to an inevitable conclusion that a god(s) exists in reality.
5. Of the many logical syllogisms I have examined arguing for the reality of a god(s), I have found all to contain a formal or informal logical fallacy or a premise that can not be demonstrated to be true.
6. I have never observed a phenomenon in which the existence of a god was a necessary antecedent for the known or probable explanation for the causation of that phenomenon.
7. Several proposed (and generally accepted) explanations for observable phenomena that were previously based on the agency of a god(s), have subsequently been replaced with rational, natural explanations, each substantiated with evidence that excluded the agency of a god(s). I have never encountered _vice versa._
8. I have never experienced the presence of a god through intercession of angels, divine revelation, the miraculous act of divinity, or any occurrence of a supernatural event.
9. Every phenomenon that I have ever observed has *_emerged_* from necessary and sufficient antecedents over time without exception. In other words, I have never observed a phenomenon (entity, process, object, event, process, substance, system, or being) that was created _ex nihilo_ - that is instantaneously came into existence by the solitary volition of a deity.
10. All claims of a supernatural or divine nature that I have encountered have either been refuted to my satisfaction or do not present as _falsifiable._
ALL of these facts lead me to the only rational conclusion that concurs with the realities I have been presented - and that is the fact that there is *_no good reason_* for me to acknowledge the reality of any particular god.
I have heard often that atheism is the denial of the Abrahamic god. But denial is the active rejection of a substantiated fact once credible evidence has been presented. Atheism is simply withholding such acknowledgment until sufficient credible evidence is introduced. *_It is natural, rational, and prudent to be skeptical of unsubstantiated claims, especially extraordinary ones._*

And to that question, I will answer NO, as I do not believe _any_ real phenomenon to have a beginning. I adhere to the concept of emergency, not creation.

I am an atheist and its not that I have any particular preference for a naturalistic explanation but rather that being all that is available to include as an explanation that actually has explanatory value . What other choice do I have ? If you cannot show me anything that is non physical or anything that is without a physical cause , cannot identify, cannot demonstrate any of it's characteristics and how it interacts with reality then what is the alternative? I would ask what is the main stickler for him accepting religion when nothing in reality establishes the exitance of a god . Of the two of us he is adding more than what is necessary to successfully navigate this realty, and to gain more practical knowledge of the physical reality we occupy, when what he is proposing cannot be assigned a truth value. The only claim I am positing is the state of my personal convictions. I never claimed that it couldn't be a god it's just that I have no knowledge of one with no one being able to demonstrate the existence of one or how they could have knowledge of one to include it as a rational candidate explanation for anything, . There is only one way of arriving at truth/facts. He accurately mentions empirical evidence, while the other he mentions only appeals to his personal rationale, his perceptions of reality seen through the lens of his religion which he assumes is the standard by which all others should reason and if they do not he then assumes deficiency in their logic and ability to accurately asses reality, .If he would reject empirical evidence as a mean of establishing the existence of a god then
I am highly skeptical that he truly exhausted all other alternative explanations to the point of exclusion. In order for him to do that then he would most certainly have to rely on empirical evidence which would particularly require employing of the scientific method. If he did that then it's unlikely he would then go on appealing to his own reasoning and attempting to appeal others to convince them of the existence of his god rather than presenting the evidence he gathered by fully exploring and exhausting the alternative, by which he could exclude all other alternative explanations. If he can not exclude those alternative explanations then he couldn't have exhausted them. . I think its more likely that he flat out rejected any other alternative due to his own cognitive and emotional bias towards his desired and accepted belief. At best all he could gain from his alternative to empirical evidence is exactly what he has now, and all he has which is a belief. Pretty sure he would never acknowledge that because his feeling are telling him that he knows. He somehow thinks his beliefs become facts, evidence, and knowledge based solely on how strongly he feels and believes in what is he calming, He does not seem to consider that his feelings could and will respond to whatever he has convinced himself is true rather than an actual god being involved and I am not saying that it isn't a god involved it just that it's no way to exclude the other possible explanations.
Could someone please explain to me how you could make for an accurate deductive or inductive logical argument without knowing all the variables or even which variables to include? I do not understand what has him so convinced that the universe always operates in logical, predictive patterns and that he can reason the unknown. Not knowing is just simply not an option no matter how honest and accurate it is. He thins so long as he can reason that something exists that establishes that it exists. He speaks as if it is not possible that he could be consistent with logic while still not being consistent with reality. Logic has its limitations. Logic is not fact but rather a tool that is supposed to guide you towards facts/sound conclusion and if it fails to do so that would indicate ether fallacious reasoning which is not logic at all, or you have either voluntarily or involuntarily accepted unfalsifiable proposition in which case you cannot assign a truth value. What I do find refreshing about this gentleman is his approach he is the fist and nearly only Muslim apologist that {with the exception of one other} that does not display any aggressive undertones, he is respectful and does not put you in defense mode, the arrogance is still there it's just more subtle and tolerable however all and all he is deserving of my undivided attention.

That's how arrogant Muslims and Christians are You assume that what you can best surmise defines logic, the universe, and what others should accept as fact without even thinking its necessary to establish to any as if your sheer, infallible, and impeccable reasoning skills. based on your unquestionable mental acuity is the only required justifications for believing it, and what you think know about a god and how the universe operates is all that missing in peoples lives, that is so crucial when it comes accessing what is true about reality that one must be militant to reject it.
When you insist others outlook should align with what you believe about your god to the point you would be so confident enough to approach total strangers and tell them that they are wrong in what they believe and that you destroyed anyone's argument based philosophical jargon you agree with ,that is not me accusing you of bias that me calling it what it is.
What other situation would you advise others to suspend the requirement of objective evidence as a means of arriving at truthful sound conclusion side from your god belief? and how and why do you get to determine when it is fallacious to appeal to it? If you cannot establish that something is even possible then it cannot be a possibility for me sideline.
If you find it objectionable that I do not accept as truth what cannot be demonstrated as true while offering no reasonable rebuttal do not expect any sleep loss over your blistering condemnation of my reasoning abilities. You accusing me of being militant implies that I was supposed care about what it is you believe and what it is you think you know like your typical arrogant Muslim and Christian. Your actions suggest bias not me, When you cannot even establish that what your are proposing is even possible then their is no possibility to sideline. If you cannot establish the existence of yours or any god for it to even be an explanation for anything that is not my problem take that up with your god that you are so sure exists.
