    thank you for this direct video. Saved me a trip to the mechanic and about 55 bucks plus labor. my rely went bad on my 2000 cavalier last friday on the way to work. I am no contortionist, so I had to take out teh driver side seat to get to it. unfortunately. my relay was on pegs, not a rail like yours.

    mine does it sometimes, but I thought it was atmospherics. it only does it when it's humid and rainy consistently. one way to trick the system back to normal is to use the Hazards while having a blinker on. it happens rarely but that's how I fix mine.

    If your hazards come on but the blinkers are dead, would it still be the relay or maybe the switch in the column?

    • @darrendexter6125
      @darrendexter6125  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Does the mechanics of the turn signal assembly seem smooth? Or does it have 'issues' like clicking or crunching through its motion when you try and use the turn signal? I believe they both use the same relay (as I did not see another relay up in that area that would have been a separate one for hazards). So, in your case, the turn signal assembly would be suspect. You could try replacing the relay first, since they are cheaper than the entire assembly.

    • @darrendexter6125
      @darrendexter6125  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Autozone has them listed as the same relay - www.autozone.com/electrical-and-lighting/turn-signal-hazard-warning-flasher/chevrolet/cavalier/2003

      @@darrendexter6125 The blinkers seem to have revived themselves for a minute but they are deff at the stage of one blink and then nothing. The assembly feels the same as always. Just one blink and nothing. The hazards light up like a xmas tree. Must be the assembly based on your video and comments. Thank you. Off to the garage I go.
