Since recording this video, the world record has been beaten by ANOTHER 1.5 minutes. The FNAF Security Breach speedrunning community has some insanely intelligent people, and they are just gonna keep making this speedrun get faster and faster. I definitely recommend continuing to watch how this speedrun progresses, because I'm pretty sure speedruns are going to get even crazier within the next few weeks

They look terrifying initially, but the more you see them, the more they look like a flush emoji

I often see comment sections where it's not the first comment... Sometimes they are many bots in a single comment section. I hope TH-cam does something against that one day...
Fnaf: Fetch Quests the game
I have to assume the "voice volume at 0" thing is due to certain events being scripted to wait for the audio line to finish playing, and at the same time, when the volume is 0 the audio line simply isn't played. Both of these design choices make sense: why hard-code a timer at every point when it comes up (which is more work AND a more rigid approach -- what if a voice line changes? What if the game is dubbed into another language where the voice line has a different length? etc.) when you can just dynamically base it on the audio? But then also, why bother loading and playing a sound file that's inaudible? Might as well save the processing power by just not playing anything. So just like that, turning the volume to 0 makes the next trigger active immediately and lets you move through the game faster.
I don't think the second solution of not loading the sound file makes sense unless you're expecting very low end hardware which might somehow gain performance from not loading a sound file.

Do your sound files not sure the length of the sound in the metadata? Just use that as the time to wait. That's kinda the default in most games because you already need to know when to stop playing sound (otherwise you'd just start playing random memory)

I was playing this shit like “damn ain’t I playing this on a ps5?!”
The jumpscares are very underwhelming and you never get that feeling that you can be attacked anytime (except for the daycare part), you always know when you're gonna die because of loud ass footsteps. Feels more like a quest game that a horror one

@@vectazeplayz yeah they all just use the same awkward low volume child scream, a terrible screen bobbling, an unnecessary flashing light and the animatronic animations are very goofy(with very few exceptions). I wish they could at least have made the animatronics look scarier, theyre definitely not in the scott style since he wasn't the developer for this
I've been banging this drum since GTLive's first video, but I'm almost entirely certain they had _NO_ beta testers _at all._ There's no way they did. There's just too much about it that's broken. Makes for a _hilarious_ speedrun, though. Ten. Fricken. Minutes.
Security Breach is the perfect level of jank where you can play through the game normally without problem but if you do want to break it, you absolutely can.

@@Beartic. fusionZgamer sequence broke the game by accident when he played and in the later playthroughs hes constantly concered if hes in a soft lock state.
@@Beartic. ROBOT WILL NOT FORGET WHERE YOU ARE IF:
a. you hid in something the animatronic can see (whether the robo can see YOU does not matter)
b. you hid while the robo was chasing u (even if robo was super far away and didnt see u hide)
and its not even consistant, so i guess just make sure to never get seen by anything ever unless its a scripted event
also if there's a door you CAN open, but it's currently closed, an animatronic can and will walk through it to get to you
i also had a bunch of problems with the part of the map IM IN completely unloading and saving the game automatically once i fall in the void, so i got softlocked
and i did not try to trigger any of these bugs, they just happened and got really frustrating

Something I noticed is that at the end of each hour when Freddy gets into a recharge station, him and the other animatronics get more damaged over the hours, this is a cool detail that some people could have missed!

Also i could have sworn in a gameplay that gregory was put into a recharge chamber and freddy was attacked and dragged away by the moon, with another animatronic slightly visible to the right of the screen, but then freddy's right there when you come out.
And no one was talking about it so it must have been a fever dream
@@catelynh1020 probably the Glichtrap virus slowly corrupting them. As you read some message in faz watch,other 3 animatronics outside Freddy acted strangely after getting their upgrade which is why they obey Vanny's order but not Freddy

Honestly it reminds me of the Batman Arkham games where Batman’s suit would get more and more scratched and stuff over the coarse of the game.

I think even without speedrunning boundary breaks, this game is still broken.
Outside of speedrunning, there's a hack in post-game where you grab the driver assist head from Roxy raceway and all the save spots work again.

Seeing the Pizzaplex with Gamma all the way up is actually quite pleasant
Broke: Being scared because "ah jumpscare"
Woke: Being scared because getting caught will ruin the entire run.
I've forced my way out of a jumpscare before. Not sure which part of what I did caused it, but it was in the outer daycare area with Monty, I kept clicking left mouse, while hammering jump and backwards. It stopped the jumpscare mid animation, and broke Monty's animations and AI. I got caught again like 5 minutes later and noticed Monty was locked in one frame of an idle animation and just slid around instead of walking or running.

I found a game-breaking glitch:
I'll call it void-walking. Basically, try getting into Freddy while jumping. It seems to cause the game to completely unload every asset except for doors. You can walk through the walls near the doors to skip some parts of the game.
Edit: found out that others knew already, I just didn't see anyone talking about it when I posted this lol
Yeah but there is one problem. The assets are gonna load at some point. So the player needs to be careful.

So incredibly tired of games coming out full of bugs and glitches, but at least it makes for fun speedruns.
Sadly, they will be in every single game and will always happen, the only thing we can do is make them less noticable and get rod of the worst ones

Honestly, Chica looks way better in “FNAF: Security Breach” than she does in any of the other FNAF games.
Not to mention the shattered version is absolutely horrifying.
she looks way less frightening. i like original chica because she doesn't have any identifiers that she's a boy or a girl, therefore she looks more uncanny/less human. giving the animatronics too much personality makes them way less scary - roxy, monty and chica are goofy side-villains. the ones from FnaF 1 are mindless killing machines disguised as plushes.
@@solarprogeny6736 I personally disagree with the personality part. It makes man-made objects alive in a way, and it leaves you feeling like you’re dealing with another human. Roxy getting her eyes taken out and despite being a robot, I felt like I took another human’s eyes. She may have looked horrifying, but seeing the way she struggled out of devastation was disturbing and depressing. It put a lot of either disturbing or comforting realism into the things that weren’t meant to be alive
@@Tok07 right i agree that it's disturbing and depressing, but it strips the animatronics of their "threat" aspect. they become victims of the system, rather than the ones you are scared of, they are the ones you feel sympathy for.

I dont find horror games scary in general, but i feel like the first game at least had a tense atmosphere to it that made it unique. This one looks really interesting cause of the map but it doesnt look remotely like a horror game

The way this game's speedruns are broken reminds me of the ones in Hello Neighbor speedruns 👀
security breach seems like a different kind of broken to me, while hello neighbor was glichy to a point that you would find game breaking bugs even when doing the dev intended things, and would commonly (at least for me) see casual youtuber playthroughs where they used glitches to get through big chunks of the game, and sometimes whole chapters, SB just seems kinda random most of the time, glitches will just kinda happen (or not) seemingly without the need of the player doing anything

Game hasn’t been out that long so, probably not much practice. I’m sure a lot of people accidentally found some skips cause the game is so buggy.
The game has only been out for 250 hours. And I don’t imagine people avoiding sleeep to play this game.

Tip, you can try clipping into one of the level 10 or 12 pass doors, if you fall completely out of bounds, you get the prompt for an ending, similar to the emergency exit ending!
Pretty sure that's a different speedrun category.

6:01 There is actually a more optimal path for the generator part, if instead of causing the distraction you go up the slide, you can actually go a different path to finish the area in about 40 seconds
theres no point in even creating the distraction regardless as moon cant enter the playsets until 3 generators are turned on.
Right yeah, forgot about that too, but the distraction could help if you got 3 before he got to it

@Luke O'Leilei the speedrun makes more sense when you play the full game. I watched this before and after watching a casual playthrough, and as this being afterwards, I definitely understand how the glitches work. I think Scott needs to learn something called "invisible walls"

Security Breach is easily a top 3 fnaf game for me, right up there with Help Wanted and Fnaf 2. I love all the character designs, the voices, Vanny, the map and the speed runs.
I don't see how. It is easily the worst by far to me. It seems incomplete like nothing leads to anything, the missions are so disorganized and at times there are very few hints about what you need to do. Like the game doesn't tell you how to trap Chica in the compactor. Plus, it seemed really stupid to me that many times in the game you had to go to different places really far apart from each other. For example, the destroy Roxy part. First, you have to go to her racetrack but then you need to take the head of the cart bot all the way to Fazecade which is on the other side of the map, and then after that, you have to go all the way back to the Racetrack. Long walks aren't fun.
Plus, there are a ton of bugs and the animatronics AI is broken beyond belief. They can get you through walls, through Freddy, can get you even if you are not in their range, etc...
The main issue is the end. Who the fuck decided to make the end part a no-save section? Who? It only pisses off the player. When you are at the end there is about 30% of the game left. Why would you make that part have no saves? If you die you could lose hours of progress and what if you have to quit because of real life? Plus, apparently, to trigger the end you need Roxy's eyes but the game makes no mention that getting Roxy's eyes triggers the end game sequence. So players can get to the ending choice with only 2 upgrades which are pathetic. They should have made it so to trigger the ending you need all 3 upgrades or at the very least tell the player that getting Roxy's eyes is the trigger to the end.

@@catandogclone7880 It isn't all that unique. Yes, the mall can be explored but there is almost nothing to do in the said mall other than avoiding the broken AI and finding useless collectibles. The Character isn't all that great, to be honest. All of them feel underwhelming.

I’m guessing the triggers for certain in games are tied to the audio and with the audio gone, the necessary triggers are gone as well. I could be dead wrong though; I’m just guessing lol
guessing the audio engine simply kills sounds when they're at 0% volume, and the game has nothing to handle this

I love speedruns the developers spend an incredible amount of time on a carefully crafted difficult section of the game. Then a speed runner puts a box next to a wall and passes by the entirety of the game

I cant believe this game series popped off so much. I remember when it came out everyone old enough to not get nightmares from it were old enough to remember the chuck e cheese animatronics, and how creepy they were. Like that game came out 7 years ago. All the people who played the original when it came out are adults now (People 10+).
It's just weird because Chuck e cheese is going under because of corona, and they stopped using the animatronics in 2019 anyway.
Fun fact, you can actually get killed by Moon in the cutscene where you see Vanny for the first time (specifically while Freddy’s walking to the recharge station). I would know. It happened to me.

Thats ironically the exact same thing that happened to the new pokemon remakes, it hasnt been out a week and the speedruns were already velow 15 minutes because of some absolutely enormous glitches.
I guess its pretty telling about the state of the game when glitched speedruns are discovered that quickly
Good graphics, Familiar characters, Helpful things, Fun storylines,
and speedrunners.
This is what a good game is like.
Plenty of detail, secrets, and references as well. No idea if the Roxy action figure does anything to gameplay but it's still fun collecting everything
But LOTS of glitches and fps issues. The game sure is fun, but needs a little patching
