Your fine instrument resembles exactly what nowadays the builder Vladmir Azhikulov still makes. That's a very fortunate thing that just caught my attention. Dear Maestro, I am sorry to ask for advice here instead of applauding you as every music lover should do, but I really need your opinion and you are absolutely the only one who can help me on a crucial question for me , since it is about the Stauffer style guitar (L. Legnany model) that you ordered from luthier Earl S. Marsh. Indeed, it turns out that I am about to go into debt to buy this seven-string guitar without even being able to try it, which particularly distresses me because the financial sacrifice that this represents is really great, for me and for all my family, but it is matched only by my passion which makes me spend several hours every day playing the Russian guitar repertoire for several years now... So I need to be sure this instrument is worth it. For example, is it true that you recorded tracks 11 -14 of volume 1 of your wonderful disc on the history of the Russian guitar (of which I hope there will be volume 2 soon!) with this same instrument?... Were you completely satisfied with the guitar? Do you have any comments or anecdotes about this instrument on which you played and which probably would not even have existed if you had not ordered it? You know, real Russian guitars are rare in Western Europe and one sometimes have to buy one without having tested it yourself. So, last year I thought I saw the instrument of my dreams on sale in Moscow (a splendid two-necked harp guitar with 7+5 strings in the Eroshkine or Zimmermann style)... As I knew I wouldn't have one. never find anything like it in Paris, for the first time, I agreed to buy it without having tried it myself, taking advantage of the fact that one of my acquaintances was going to go to Moscow... I am almost ruined and I regret it because not only did I never manage to play well with it, but what's more, the bridge quickly came off while the double neck also began to twist - even though the instrument had just been be completely restored! So you can understand my great anxiety at the idea of buying a concert guitar under the same conditions _ even if I have the impression that this guitar will really be perfect for playing works like that of Morkov, Vetrov, M. Vyssotsky or Ilya Sokolo🎼... Do you think we can find a guitar adapted to this repertoire for less than 3000 euros (or 35000 SEK)? Did you have any particular pleasure playing on it? I would be infinitely grateful to you if you could answer me, even if it was just one short sentence... And once again a huge congratulations and thank you for your wonderful music🎵 which never ceases to inspire me. Sorry for this message here (I would have preferred to mail you if only I could). Respectful and admiring greetings from Paris.
