i'm so glad i've held myself back from buying when the moon hatched and annie bot. i might still try reading annie bot if my library gets it, but i know i can't handle the perfect little assassin trope
🤖 I love how honest you are with monthly wrap ups! I also tried reading When the Moon Hatched for one of my book clubs and I got one chapter in and DNFed.
this was the push i needed to finally take When the Moon Hatched off my current reads 'cause I've been on page 54 for months lmao maybe I'll still give it a shot one day though
I have been seeing down the drain pop up here and there and didn’t know if it would be for me but I want to give it a try. Oh no, I’m sorry that Annie Bot didn’t work for you, I thought the audiobook was great and I couldn’t put it down, but I can see exactly where you are coming from! Hopefully next month you get a five star read 💕💕🤖
Definitely give the audiobook a try! It's an interesting story. I'm definitely in the minority with annie bot but I'm so glad so many people do love it!
"Love shit happens" --> and that has effectively summed up my feelings on the romance genre as a whole. I'm not knocking it, I understand it's much beloved type of story to read and that's totally okay! I'll just stick with my "weird shit happens" genres. And I loved Loved LOVED Mother Thing, so I am super excited to hear you talk about this one. Also I loved how you described her approach to stream of consciousness; it's so easy to get lost and frustrated in that kind of writing (looking at you Stephen Graham Jones! also, I love you Stephen Graham Jones, never change!) but Ainslie Hogarth does it in a way that much less maddening. P.S. It's Halloween Resurrection with Tyra Banks! That's fresh in my mind because I rewatched it recently...!
Yeah romance, specifically spicy romance just gets so boring to me. I need a good plot too. Weird shit happens will always reign winner for me 😂 Ainslie is truly the queen of stream of consciousness. Omg how did i forget tyra banks was in it!!?? I need to rewatch it immediately
I've heard some many negative reviews on When The Moon Hatched and it's really turned me off from reading it. Which sucks because the cover is so beautiful! and nooo not the preorder 😭😭 I've so glad you liked Foxglove. I've been planning on reading Belladonna soon and have my eyes on ordering the third book already 😅 🤖🤖
Soooo beautiful 💔 but so many people love it, maybe you would too! Maybe just opt for the library to get it lol. I just bought the whole belladonna series in the UK covers bc they're literally stunning and amazing 😍
@@WickedScorpio 🥲maybe, but I'm also not a huge fan of over hyped books either. i am thinking about getting kindle unlimited, so maybe I'll try it if it's on there lol I don't blame you! They're gorgeous 😍I've had my eye on them but haven't hit purchase just yet
See, now I loved when the moon hatched.. It's just like one of those things that you gotta read it for yourself and if you like it you like it if you don't you don't.. That's why there's different books for different people.. Not everybody's gonna like the same thing.. But you can't hate on them when they give their opinion of it.'cause it's their opinion.. Everyone's welcome to that right.. 😊
@sarahstankovic5428 100000%. I always try to make it clear that while I didn't love it, someone else does and I would never say not to read something unless I really know someone's personal reading tastes!!
Oh no, I’m sad Honeycomb didn’t live up to your expectations, it sounded so promising! Waiting for my hold to come in for Annie Bot. Ready for a rage read 😂
🤖 hi!! Nice video.. I read a lot in July (6 books) and all fantasy. I'm living my best fantasy life hehe I need a life outlet so I'm devouring this kind of stories.
i checked out Annie Bot from the library then changed my mind and returned it without reading one page 😂 I did a purchase suggestion for Honeycomb at my library and they approved and ordered it, I'm #1 on hold list... oh no 😬 I'll still give it a try though!
@@the_eerie_faerie_tales hahah it happens. You're not missing out 🫣 Definitely still give honeycomb a shot since your library is getting it! You might love it. I would love to hear your thoughts on it too!
i was loving normal women until the ending lol. the first bit of the book i was sure i was going to recommend this book to everyone, but by the last 40 pages i felt like a raccoon that washed cotton candy and was puzzled by its disappearance like "wait where did it go??" 😅
Lmaoooo that is the perfect analogy for how it ended 💀. I've never seen a book fumble that bad at the end but I still loved the majority of it so it's really conflicting 🥲
Omg nooo I literally just bought When the Moon Hatched hahaha Your review of Annie Bot made me more excited to read it tbh, I wonder if the rage will make me rate it low or high lol
I sincerely cannot wait to hear your thoughts on both of those. If you love them, I'll be happy for you, but if you hate them, ill be happy for us to hate them together lmaooo
🤖Thank you for being honest in your reviews! It makes me feel less of an alien on booktube because I dislike (unintentionally ofc) MANY popular books 😅
I had *identical* feelings about Rainbow Black. First half? Slapped. Second half? Not remotely interesting. It was wild to have a five star and a two star in the same book
Crossing my fingers you find one!! 🤞🏻🤞🏻 my last one was 2 of the books in The Night and its Moon series by piper cj. Super slow burn though! It may be more fantasy romance versus romantasy 🤔
I absolutely enjoyed listening to your opinions ❤ I have not read any of these books and haven't heard of a couple but I still love learning about new books 😊 thank you for sharing...its halloween resurrection and a reality show called dangertainment brings these college kids in to investigate michael myers home....hes already in the home when they arrive.....and has cameras all rigged up.....the high school kids are watching it live while at a party...sorry I love movies so I know alot about them lol
@beautifulmama862 that is so kind of you!! Thank you for watching 🩷 And omg THANK YOU!! I need to watch that one again. It's been over a decade since I last saw it and the details were definitely blurry.
First of all, your hair looks SO NICE! Second of all, daaang I'm so sorry you hated When the Moon Hatched; plus side, you can hopefully sell the special edition for a good price given how popular it is? lol
🤖 Could you tell me if Belladonna is a spicy book? I have heard from some people that it is but I am not sure. I would like to read it but I do not like books that have spice in them. Thank you in advance 😊
If I remember correctly, there is a scene in belladonna that gets a little "steamy" but not actually spicy. In foxglove there is a scene that is spicier but it's not explicit or "raunchy". Very light spice but a sprinkle of it.
