I beat FF7 and Tactics before Xenogears playing in 97-98. Its ironic that the first two games have downer endings. I was expecting the worst for the Xenogears ending, only to have it have a happy one.
I cant find it anywhere for ps3... and the ps1 version on amazon is like 150-200 bucks.. same goes for so many old ps1 games that i want to play again.. especially Brigandine (best game ever in my opinion).. its like 300-400 bucks on amazon
I would love to see this game remastered in a 3D open world environment. Imagine seeing ID in the desert in an open world on a “Shadow of Colossus” type scene. 😍😍😍
Damn this was a beast of a game. If selective memory erasing was a thing, I'd get it done just to do another playthrough of it. I still haven't seen a proper sequel to it in my opinion.
Square enix are too busy making shitty FF games and kingdom hearts 3 so i think they should hand the rights over to monolithsoft so we can get a true sequel to xenogears
There's a trick: you can skip any random battle encounters by ejecting the disc and when you notice you cannot open the menu, that's means the battle encounter steps count is out and the battle can be only triggered by reinserting the disc. Not sure if it is intended
Thank you for sharing this. The game crashed while I was still exploring Lahan and trying to move Fei upstairs. Sadly I didn't even get to put to use the stuff the battle woman taught me. :( Wonder if leaving the game on while taking a shower caused the memory heap to overflow or something? Gonna' try to watch the rest of your posts but can't allow myself too much time to binge on epic stories and awesome arts
Which part of this has that outrageously long cutscene(s)? I'd love to watch that again considering I barely watched the first two or three times. It's like 40 minutes total
The execution of the first cutscene is too confusing. Even after all these years, yes we know what's happening. But I think it could've been directed more intelligently. Just the fact that the captain at one point says, "Damn. So they're planning on attacking." is slightly painful in terms of story progression. Probably the most interesting part is at 3:00 where you see the two relics. I guess "Deus" it aiming to use them for its own gain, and it makes sense it is used as a separate energy source. That makes sense... unlimited power. I just feel like this universe needs a bit more focused directing. The concept is interesting... anyway... no more rambling.
I...may have been looking for exactly this. No commentary, 100% gameplay, not a speed run. Tip of the cap from me!
Dan, the child with a receded hairline. Kinda looks like a villain..didn't know what to expect from him 🤣
😂
one of the best game ever! and the most deepest story.
Played FF7 in 1997. I thought I was done with the _waw_ effect. One year later came Xenogears, a blast

Lmao OLD
3:53 the voice actor for the captain really half assed it. "I am evacuating the ship" sounds like a line read
Cut. Off. The. Cables. Manually.
I wonder if the captain intends to evacuate the ship? 🤔
I loved this game! And it's on sale now for the PS 3. Gonna get it. The atmosphere, the story and the music. Love it.

This game has so much nuance it that it should keep you coming back.

Twain Driver
Someone else who gets the true potential of forgetting. I think I'd forget Mario rpg.

Midget Gunzerker Xenoblade 2 is good.... I have over 500 hours in it.... obviously it’s different from saga but still a good game
@@b3llydrum I think x is better
So many good old memories... thank you so much and thanks for no commentary
Thank you for taking the time to do this.
I remember trying to get a list of all the "death moves" from that newfangled interwebs
This is one of the best games ever created it deserves a remake or remaster
Bro imagine an Hd-2D remake of this game
Noooooooo they would just ruin it
I missed this game! It was pretty cool
Dan is 24/7 pissed off
Thank you very much for sharing this awesome game
The operator at the introduction is so good at her job.
Square knew how to take full advantage of the PS1 technology. These are still my favorite graphics.
1998? I was just 7 that time but thats my most favorite rpg game
best RPG ever !

Such a beautiful game. I got lost in the world as a kid.

ah, the memories.
hifi rush brought me here
Dan looks like Larry Laffer
one like for giving sony and ps1 intro!
Perhaps it’s better if I don’t go there again

How did you record all the details?
WELL PUNS?! THATS IT IM PLAYING THIS ONE
Is this a 100% LP? (also sidequests?)
so it does have side quests
I need to play this on my phone using emulator 😁
Tyx for the video.
Your PS3 plays ps1 games? That's so cool!!
Also, the first generation PS3 was backwards compatible with PS1 games.
it said "Format disk", i assume he used 1st generation PS3 in this lets play :3
thank you
I used to really think highly of this game until I just watched Evangelion recently. Its a complete rip off
