Jeremy Mccorkle, I don't know what you're hearing exactly, but this does not sound like the old Winds Of Plague. I for one, am a bit disappointed to be honest, but then again, I wasn't very found of their last album either.

This is not what I was hoping for. Im a nobody so I'm Just giving my opinion even tho it doesn't mean much, but to me, this is shit. It's boring. Simple fills with blast beats and lead sweeps. Just Seems like a minimal effort.

I don't mind the slight change. Kind of reminds me of Divine heresy
The Orchestration is a lot better than their older work. It's woven into the music instead of just sitting awkwardly on top and having an obviously fake trombone play long slow notes over a breakdown. And it does weave more Death and Black Metal-ish vibes into the Deathcore. The choir on the chorus worked really well I thought.
It does sound like "core kids listened to dimmu borgir" probably because that's exactly what happened but it's done tastefully and it works well enough.

his vocals changed a lot from their last release in my opinion. way more highs which i really like too. theirs more of symphonic sound which they fucking nailed. the group vocals were impressive as hell too. honestly, im extremely excited about this release. i can see this album being an album of the year for a good amount of people because of how much they really changed their sound to sound sooo good

After all this time this is the best they could come up with? One of the things that made me fall in love with this band back in 2008 was the incredible guitar riffs. Something that is not represented at all in this song.
Glad they finally accepted that THE GREAT STONE WAR was their best album and decided to embrace their metal side and stop bullshitting. Thank you WOP. You are once again original.

In all honesty, every album had a few banger songs that I can put as favorites from the band. I love this band so much.

SilenceThrough "sound" is pretty subjective lol, if you havent gone thru the comments and noticed everyones calling it metalcore haha.
Because genres are objective and based on musicial composition, the riffs are metalcore, the vocals have changed and are metalcore style etc.
Yeah theres still some DxC elements obv, but they sound really similiar to new MTS how some.of the tracks were a tad heavier or sounded like light deathcore rather, while most of the album was pretty clean cut metalcore.

overall this was pretty good for it being different. I was surprised that I didn't really hear any death growls but I'm loving the darker turn in the music.

You make me wait too long for that incredible chorus. Such a big lifting sound that practically raises you from the ground. I really wish that chorus hit in the middle as well. After the first chorus, the whole rest of the song I feel like I'm waiting in anticipation and just when I think it's about to drop... it doesn't. I want to hear a remix where the song is completely built around this chorus. If you did that, you'd have a fuckin anthem on your hands. But regardless, great song!

Glad I got to see this band live once...I think it was roughly 2019 on Chaos and Carnage...I had tried to see them live for years but had to work or was deployed, blah blah blah....So good live and would be awesome to see them back....

No bullshit best band I've ever heard. Second to none in my view, listening to this band for 14 years, I'm 26. So that would have made me 12 at the time. Don't regret it one bit. This band has saved me from suicide multiple times. And one day...one goddamn day. I hope to meet them and possibly get an autograph.
