Its horrible but if I don't think about it ,it goes away. Its only when I think about it I hear it. Learned to accept it. Can't imagine how it affected Craig. My thoughts and prayers for him. Love you brother.❤❤❤
@@bobafetting6373well said. The Inspirals are at best a tribute act now. No Martyn Walsh, No Craig Gill RIP and No Tom Hingley the man who is singing this banger and every hit and prime album of theirs. Honestly they are just diabolical now
True. Shame he still isn't singing with the band. Holt absolutely murders this song now........and every song Tom sang come to think of it. Not the same band now sadly😢
Loved and still love this stuff. After the wilderness years of relentless Stock Aitken and Waterman 1980s pap, the whole indie scene was a breath of fresh air. It was just what I was looking for. I was 18 when this came out. Young, free, fit and healthy with a few quid to spend and some good mates to do it with. Oh happy days......
Amazing song. All of the tunes, rhythms are so different yet tie in together so well - that bass line, the keyboards, the guitar. So different but it all works. Fucking master-piece. Master fucking piece.
This is a brilliant piece of music ;- amongst my favourites, for sure. The way they round off this track to it's conclusion is quite remarkable and highly creative. 😎
I've met Tom one night, at his brother's 40th birthday party. Very nice guy indeed and he was absolutely stunned and would not beleive me when I told him his band was a cult in the early 90s.
Bald is an Inspirals Fan! Here is a Soviet link for you... Tom's father (Ronald) was a Russian literature translator - responsible for the English translation of Solzhenitsyn's 'One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich'!
Yes ! That two bands were huge underestimated, they both have songs so harmonic and melodic, I hardly believe will ever listen to such samples of music in future.....
amazing band,..left us way too young Craig Gill,..you left us with some amazing musical memories that i'll always have in my heart,..i'm a deep person when it comes to music,..and the inspirals ,.(amongst others),.carried me through some of the darker places in my life,..for that i'll be eternally gratefull,..rest well,..god bless..
mmmm the typical IC sound..the keyboard/organ is what hits me most !!!!!!! Don't get me wrong, it all works groovy together..genious masterpiece it is ;)))
Remember a bus down to upton park from roker, some lad come on with this and it got played all the way down , class B-Side as well. Hell of a trip back.
While evryone was arguing over the Blur and Oasis thing I remained aloof listening to the inspiral carpets. They are so cool.
And shed7
Yep, cool as fuck even.
Charlatans and carpets really underrated.
Me too!
Totally agree with you there fella SO right!!
Why is thissong NOT remembered in all those 90s Radio marathons - its amazing!
I’m gonna listen to it again, and again!!! Love it!!!
inspiral carpets, stone roses, the charlatans. all just amazing
I would add Ride to that list personally. They'd be in great company.
And Cast
@@ChrMmnRide were more shoe-gaze though?
Absolute banger. Also I met Tom recently and the guy Is a legend and his voice is still amazing.
Agreed - Tom is THE voice of the Carpets. This new tour will be even worse than the last - at least then Martyn and our dear Gilly were involved
I have tinnitus. Have had it for the last 10 years. 365 days of the year,24/7. I can hear it constantly but I just have to accept it.

They kept getting better. This song rocks. They look like they’re having fun.
Love this still and I’m in my 50’s
Same here 53 now, but age mo barrier to great music.
Tom Hingley's voice is brilliant. Awesome song and band.
Yep Steven seems like a nice person but he is not a very good singer. And definitely no Tom
True. Shame he still isn't singing with the band. Holt absolutely murders this song now........and every song Tom sang come to think of it. Not the same band now sadly😢
A UK hit from the Spring of 1992. One of my all time favourite tracks that I just love playing again and again😊
I’ve just heard this on my phone random playlist! Epic!
That's the best tune ever recorded
BRIDGES102 my fav from the 90’s
I'm with you on this one kidda. Nearly 30 years.
There's a point in your body when you saw
Or when two words collide
Brilliant harmonies.
Only 820K views in 16 years? Criminal. What a great song and band.
I’ve watched it about 15 times tonight!!! Epic tune!!!
Thank you Craig Gill without you we would have missed so much great music. Legend
Absolutely geniusly!!! Especially "you're so shallow but you're in too deep" and great, amazing chorus, wtf is this not popular??

Yes Ndidi - what a fabulous time to be 17 / 18 - best days of our lives....
Your reply could have been my reply as my sentiments echo yours....👌💯👍✌️☮️🎶🎵
RIDE and inspiral carpets, what i would pay
to see a gig like that. TWO GREATS.
I see ride and the charlatans do a gig together in Brighton
Amazing song. All of the tunes, rhythms are so different yet tie in together so well - that bass line, the keyboards, the guitar. So different but it all works. Fucking master-piece. Master fucking piece.
Great band from the north of England, using the influences of the past and making something of their own with it.
This tune if released today as well as many other in this genre would still stand out!!!!
Great tune. Great days. Never to be forgotten 🇬🇧
bopped to this and Saturn 5 at every indie club in manchester in the 90's - all time classics.
Amazing band the best in the nineties by far .
I miss the 90s.
Haven't heard this in ages but it holds up really well. The harmonies and Farfisa in the chorus sound fantastic.
I appreciate this song more now than I did when it was first released way back when I was a young lad.
Same - loved it then but cherish it now....#myprecious 👌💯👍✌️☮️🎶🎵
This brings back so many memories from my gigging days. I saw them live at the Astoria in London during the 90s. Good times! 👍
Takes me right back, absolute classic
RIP Craig Gill. The Inspiral's were a brilliantly under-rated band!
First band I ever saw!
I agree 😉
gramme parsons No. it wasn’t drugs.
lucky enough to see the Inspirals live in Melbourne they were awesome..100% sooooo underrated... but so what? they matter to me!!!
@gramme parsons For years, he suffered terribly from tinnitus. He ended up taking his own life.
What a groovy song! Killer bassline!
They were the 90's Doors. Especially with the organ style sound in their songs.
This is a brilliant piece of music ;- amongst my favourites, for sure. The way they round off this track to it's conclusion is quite remarkable and highly creative. 😎
Old enough to remember when the stuff burst onto the scene, but somehow missed this song. A great find!
lol boy did my local pub jukebox get battered with this one back in the day. oh yes
+Ste Foster Right 'n' all!
+Ste Foster spot bloody on
This has to be one of the greatest 90's tunes rip gilly
The b-side to this "I know I'm Losing You" is also very good.
I've met Tom one night, at his brother's 40th birthday party. Very nice guy indeed and he was absolutely stunned and would not beleive me when I told him his band was a cult in the early 90s.
Gets better and better over time - great tune!
Brilliant lyrics , music and vocals - so polished right from the start.
Love this tune, RIP Craig
gramme parsons It’s believed he died of suicide having had unbearable tinnitus.
This song gives me happiness . Absolutely Brilliant
Absolute classic! Best thing to come out of Oldham since the tubular bandage
Bald is an Inspirals Fan! Here is a Soviet link for you... Tom's father (Ronald) was a Russian literature translator - responsible for the English translation of Solzhenitsyn's 'One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich'!

They were the bomb! Saw them at the Limelight NYC back then.
Yes !
That two bands were huge underestimated, they both have songs so harmonic and melodic, I hardly believe will ever listen to such samples of music in future.....
We need another band like this.
We’d have one if Clint pulled his neck in and sorted it out with Tom
Great sounding synth riff. Good band and humble with it.
Saw them support the Mondays in the summer, maybe the best support act I've seen, played like it was their own gig, really good.
No Tom though 😢
Great song... thanks for posting it. It's a pity they didn't become as famous as they deserved.
Never heard of this band til I went on a Michel Gondry kick and found Two Worlds Collide. This is my favorite song of theirs though. So good
You're so shallow but you're in too deep - Great line.
+XBuryBoy Time less song.
