3:51 "They sing no songs in Hel, nor do they celebrate heroes, for silent is that dismal realm, and cheerless, but the story of the Gjallerbru and the God who defended it is whispered across the nine worlds, and when a new arrival asks about the one whom even Hela bows her head, the answer is always the same...... He stood at Gjallerbru and that answer is enough."
Two absolutely AWESOME music recommendations from the Grumps today, and two new music groups I'm gonna be following from now on for sure. Thanks, guys!
It never fails to amaze me how Dan or Arin so much as offhandedly mentioning something makes tens of thousand of people all flock together to check it out at the same time. You're lovely, lovelies.
+logandh2 They really have a great platform to give traffic to otherwise less popular media. I don't think they quite realize it-- But then again, if the did it on purpose too much, the fans would turn on them, sadly.
+logandh2 it apparently even has an effect on whats suggested to you. I never saw the video danny mentioned it in, but youtube slid this in my recommended list while I was watching a different episode.
This song makes me feel like I obtained an incredible power that will let me take on any challenge head on. It makes me want to fight a dragon in hand to hand combat
During a long time my favourite in the style were Perturbator, Dance with the Dead and then I discovered Carpenter Brut and I prefered it to the other and today I discovered Magic Sword and I must say it has almost everything I expect and love in this genre. It's retro, epic, cinematographic, punchy, powerful and has modern sounds also what gives it even more power. Definitively the best synth wave, retro new wave, etc. etc. artist for me at the moment.
Found this completely by accident. So glad I did! It sounds amazing espcially after halfway in. Plus I just love the art. Really takes me back in its visual designs.
I could definitely see this song used in a soundtrack for one of the classic scenes in the '80s style where you just use music to tell the story while a lot of action takes place on screen. Especially the later parts, I think they would lend themselves to some "preparation/departure" type of scenes as a hero in a story prepares for battle. Kind of like when Magnum, P.I. used "The Brazilian" by Genesis in the episode "Unfinished Business".
Danny was right, this is freakin' great. Getting some awesome Daft Punk Vibes out of this, all it needs is an animation telling the story of the art and we've got the whole package :P
This was the first song I heard of yours, I heard it when you guys were kicking around 20k views it's great to see how you guys have flourished into something big. You guys deserved it, your music is great/
I'd have naught sought this track out, had I not known of its epic composition and execution! Truly, thou art the most magic of wounding implements and I verify that fact in the presence of man and God. Huzzah!
holy shit, as an individual with sound-colour/touch synesthesia this was a fan-fucking-tastic ride, totally gonna listen to you guys more also, grump-bump
I recommend listening to this on loop while playing fallout 4 vr while in power armor when charging an area highly dense with enemies and mowing them down with a laser Gatling gun. Shit makes you forget about reality and really feel like the embodiment of power. Edit: well untill you punch a wall when you go to bash.
i came here because go pro..since then im hook up with this music..every time i want to go to work i listen to this..give me the motivation and feel like in 80's ways..haha
I'm probably not the first to point this out, but it seems like y'all drew inspiration from Terry Goodkinds "Sword of Truth" series. I think that's really cool. It adds a whole new dimension to your music and that series! Fantastic song btw, goes really well with a late night drive
I listen to this when I play FPS games because: 1. THE IMMERSION. It feels so real I literally can't breathe. 2. THE ATMOSPHERE. Adds the perfect ambiance, better than the game soundtrack itself. 3. THE INSPIRATION. I play so much harder with this on. Amazing! Also 2:25 , beautiful
Something very serendipitous just happened to me on Pandora. I was listening to Lifeformed albums while reading. I decided to change it up and clicked "play similar artist". It played this song. What's strange about it is that I'm currently reading The Sword of Truth series.
you will never find anything of this caliber ever again. It truly leads its class.
Agreed
Danny has such an amazing taste in music. I am so glad he mentioned these guys because wow!
Woah. What episode did Dan mention Magic Sword?
Super Mario Maker part 87 after the 9:00 mark
Thanks.
+Messageon, I realize I am a few months late. I apologize for never replying. I guess TH-cam never told me anyone replied to this comment.
8 years late and in good company
Been listening to this song for almost a decade. I cant get over how good it is.

these songs take u on a ride to another planet. I LOVE IT
Yes.
Magic Sword is elite.
Two absolutely AWESOME music recommendations from the Grumps today, and two new music groups I'm gonna be following from now on for sure. Thanks, guys!
+hip indeed I ended up on some tracks from Dance With The Dead as well. They are pretty fantastic.

+logandh2 I go where they tell me. They rarely steer me wrong.
+logandh2 Not gonna lie. It turns me on a little...
This song kicks ass! The Grumps were right! :D
+logandh2 it apparently even has an effect on whats suggested to you. I never saw the video danny mentioned it in, but youtube slid this in my recommended list while I was watching a different episode.
Thanks for such great tunes. Smile beyond activated, every time I listen to your music.
This is what synth is all about. Incredible song.
My favorite Magic Sword song.
"Nasty badass" - Dan
Why isn’t this more popular. This is gold.
Was expecting metal, but got electronic instead. But I was not disappointed!
I did and feel exactly the same :D
+Logan Anderson I was disappointed. I was expecting something like Rhapsody. Listen to Emerald Sword, its awesome.
I was expecting something orchestral, like Two Steps From Hell or something. But this is just as good.
Thx to "GoPro: The Streets of Japan in 4k!" to made me discover this hypnotic tune!
Greetings from France!
agreed, haven't been able to stop listening to Magic Sword since checking out that video
Ubi Shogun Ditto man
Hey salut le francais !!!!
I too and ancestors am from France of origins (I am a human)
Just played the Pistol Whip level! This got me pumped! Awesome work!
This song... Stuck in my head ALL DAY!
This song makes me feel like I obtained an incredible power that will let me take on any challenge head on. It makes me want to fight a dragon in hand to hand combat
* Immediately turns on Skyrim and un-equips sword *
Dragons dont have hands
Pole Carent, thanks for the fine note which does not sway the power of the original tantra, IndirectConnect.
No this song feels like aliens about to exterminate the human race, thank you aliens.
Exactly the same way, only because the dragon, I prefer combat with azatoth
This is music from another dimension. Wow it makes me feel great. It's like a sonic shower for your mind. And it's not boring. Thanks for the gift.

Carpenter Brut 100%
Forgot to check this out a year ago. Good thing I rewatch episodes. This is awesome. Underrated band.
If Inception were made in the 80's and starred Arnold Schwarzenegger, I imagine this would have been the score
fr 😂
*“I’ll be back”*
Arnold proceeds to fall into limbo
Wow
That sounds like a much better movie than it became.
I can't really follow but I'm sure it would be one of the movies ever 😂
Thanks, Danny.
+JonathanWolfe038 HELL YEAH!
contrariIy to what he says, I enjoy the introduction more than the rest of the song!
+JonathanWolfe038 That's when I know I've found the right video lol
Agreed
ha he sent you here too hahaha kewl

One of the best musical artists names I've seen
Possibly the greatest song of all time lol, nothing gives me the flow of epic inspiration like this song.
Danny was right, this is freakin' great.
Getting some awesome Daft Punk Vibes out of this, all it needs is an animation telling the story of the art and we've got the whole package :P
I'm usually not one for Electronica but a friends nephew played this for her, she in turn told me about it. I fell in love. This is awesome!
This has become the national anthem of the nation of Synthwave. All rise and salute.
One of the greatest instrumental pieces ever.
Pistol Whip 2089 narrative brought me here. Loved how this fit with the boss so well
This was the first song I heard of yours, I heard it when you guys were kicking around 20k views it's great to see how you guys have flourished into something big. You guys deserved it, your music is great/

This shall be the soundtrack of my epic programming montage.
This still gets me focused , I love it
Great music. Go on. I want more. Love it.
Damn, more than a year after I found this song, and it still rocks my socks off.
I'd have naught sought this track out, had I not known of its epic composition and execution! Truly, thou art the most magic of wounding implements and I verify that fact in the presence of man and God. Huzzah!

Wow the art in this video makes me think of a medieval Zeratul
Also, thanks to Game Grumps for bringing me here!

I recommend listening to this on loop while playing fallout 4 vr while in power armor when charging an area highly dense with enemies and mowing them down with a laser Gatling gun. Shit makes you forget about reality and really feel like the embodiment of power.

Never fails when ever Dan mentions somethings its EPIC this earns a sub
What a piece of art
Reminds me of the music in Blood Dragon and I love it!
They're both Synth Wave/ New Retro Wave. You might be able to find some similar songs with Scattle or Perturbator.
+F̡ac͜e͡l̨e̶ss͟ dont forget carpenter brut
+Wasbeer Mans carpenter brut is usually a lot more energetic tho, ie le perv or roller mobster
reminds me of the movie DRIVE!
This makes me want to fight a giant gunship on an offworld colony swarmed by a plague of killer androids with a powerful weapon once again.
Pistol Whip could be in your direction my friend, check it out
Not killing me was the last mistake they ever made.
Well well we meet again... They call me Sammy...

same
Was delighted to find that this music is available on spoofy.
Grendel ehhhhhhh SPoOfY!
Spoofy is nice
Thank Danny!!! His music selection are always on point!
I'm probably not the first to point this out, but it seems like y'all drew inspiration from Terry Goodkinds "Sword of Truth" series. I think that's really cool. It adds a whole new dimension to your music and that series!
Fantastic song btw, goes really well with a late night drive
who made that video is amazing, there are like 6 different images imposed on one that you can only see if you really watch it
If they made a video game based on the movie Labyrinth, this would be the theme to the Jareth's Castle dungeon.
Awww man...how dope would that be!
#GrumpBump!
Wow, this is a really great song. I love the stereo panning.
The song is literally the greatest song ever made.
Do not attempt to disagree.
Amazing. Still just as epic after all this time.
Art looks amazing
I listen to this when I play FPS games because:

2. THE ATMOSPHERE. Adds the perfect ambiance, better than the game soundtrack itself.

Not So Grump sent me. He was right. Your music is amazing. ^_^
This group is masterpiece, movie companies should use them more often.
The legendary music of the Gods
Good background dnd music. Thanks Dan.
These sound vibrations were enjoyable to my HUMAN ears.
Danny's taste in music never disappoints, tubular stuff!
+ElShadow7 Not as tubular as Tubular Bells, though.
What about hello kitty
Awesome dude Guy Only one thing to say about that: "Ka-ka-ka-kawaii ka-ka-ka-kawaii ♪♫"
@@heipaadegsauenshaun Dammit you beat me to it.
Pretty good. This is the third time the Grumps have introduced me to an awesome band.
This is pure violence, speed and momentum.
This is like the audio representation of the 80's fantasy aesthetic.
I would love to meet the person able to realize the full potential behind something so strong.
that the legendary sword of truth underneath thy coat, or art thou just glad to see me, oh mighty keeper?
Awesome (y)
