I believe 1.5 million Dollars want be nearly enough as a supportin crutch for the studio to get back up.
I think the craziest thing is that it happened to Kyoto Animation. There are a lot of animtaion studios that create controversial content or have headline after headline of poor working conditions ending in suicide (looking at you A1 pictures). Kyoto Animation as far as I know have never had anything like that because they seem to invest in their company and their employees.
@@alexisguillen8400 Even if they did, the arsonist is still a psycho who has no justifications for his actions. There are other ways to set the problem straight, such as filing a lawsuit, committing a massacre of otherwise innocent people is like a thousand times worse than copying somebody's work and the guy should have known better.
@@alexisguillen8400 According to NHK he also has a mental ilness and prior charges. I think it's more likely that he thinks they stole from him. Either way. i didn't watch most of kyoAni's anime, but the ones that i watched made me some type of emotional way... i fucking THANK you for making a tribute video to a bunch of amazing animators.
i feel the same, i didnt watch a lot of their animation but the ones i watched gave me a powerful punch of emotions, and definitely changed me in some way for example heres a big one: a slient voice
Sour NinjaPants I watched it on Netflix once a long time ago and I have watched it many times on yt and when I saw what happened at the animation studio I was like “wait a damn minute aren’t those the guys who created a silent voice?” I was so in shock and pissed that someone so arrogant, stupid, and just overall insane could do something so crazy and try to ruin a community for absolutely no reason at all.
It was a kick in the gut when I heard what happened at KyoAni. It felt so personal since I loved their shows so much. May they continue making the best anime coming out of Japan. And you haaad to use the Dango Daikazoku music to make me really emotional T_T
for me it was a kick in the gut just hearing it was an anime studio, the news didn't say anything about what one, it wasn't till i looked it up i noticed they are the studio that do anime that occupies most of my top 10 anime list, if not all of my top 10
The burned building is Studio 1, the main production line. Kyoto Animation still has Studio 2 (the main office), Studio 5 (KyoAni & Do), merchandise store (which handle sales) and Kyoto Animation school (future animator training academy). What I'm saying is, they can rise again, they are not totally destroyed. Of course the loss are not completely replaceable, but at least they are not devastated beyond means. Kyoto Animation is a respected company among anime industry, and I'm sure the industry will not let them alone. We may be worried about their future, but with a lot of their infrastructure and staff still intact, our puny help can alleviate a bit of their problem. What they need the most is our moral and financial support, because with a lot of casualty, some of them may not be able to draw ever again. May they rise from the ashes like a phoenix and flew even higher.
@@unassumingaccount395 they lost all of their computers and Anime masters. the building is ruined it is 30 million in damages it's over for the company .i want to baseball bat that stoole pigeon.
Beyond the Boundary was my first Kyoto Animation show. Drawing is beautiful, and creating something and sharing it to so many people around the world is even more beautiful. I can’t understand about destroying it. Even if I could that doesn’t justify this and it never will. I don’t pray a lot, but I will for Kyoto Animation.
Horrible news. The loss of talent and work ethic, the loss of great minds who used their skills to bring joy to many all gone just like that. These were 1 in a million people, masters of their craft that can never be replaced. This is terrible.
Animators can be replaced but unfortunately they lost all of there masters for all of thier anime past and present those masters can never be replaced.
Sometimes, you only realise how much you adore and loved something or someone when you had already lost them. My pray and condolences goes to the family who lost their loved ones. May their soul rest in peace.
Dragon Maid and Violet Evergarden are the two anime I’ve watched that were produced by KyoAni Studios. It’s really sad and such about what happen to KyoAni Studios, literally. Thank you for the video, man.
My first experince with KyoAni was Chunnibyo and from then on they made them selves known to me as one of the best studios around #Pray4KyoAni This is way to sad man
K-ON was my first KyoAni anime and almost all of my favourite animes come from KyoAni . They were a big part of my childhood and up till now . I watched and love every single one of their shows . I'm truly sad to hear this . May they heal over this traumatic experience and the victims get their justice .
Wow, that was emotional. Thank you for putting your heart in this video, I'm still shocked over what happened, but don't worry KyoAni *will* get better. At least that's what I wish.
I'm not crying or anything, idiot *sheds a tear or two* We truly don't deserve this, but regardless, i thank them for creating such meaningful stories, and likewise, i can't see the medium i adore so much without them, they are in my eyes the pedigree of story telling through animation. All i can say is that i genuinely they can recover and bounce back with prosperity, but regardless they are my favourite animation studio too, and their work shall not be forgotten #KyoAniStrong #PrayForKyoAni #ThankYouKyoAni
Every single anime that KyoAni produces, I always leave with a sense of something new in life. A new hope, a new determination, a perspective... May they bounce back from this stronger than ever. May they rise from the ashes like a phoenix.
I'm sad over what happened to kyoani. I'm hoping for their recovery. Crazy people blame others for their problems. Asia has a big problem dealing with mental health. Its about the story. The ability to give a message. The fable and the parable. Things have come Long way from a dinosaur. 100 years ago . Animation has come long way baby . They need us to give back. Amen brother. Hearts and prayers.
But not only about mental healt.Because I have read some news source that said the arsonist burned the KyoAni Studio as the revenge after he know his novel is plagiated by that Anime studio. That suspect is the novel author.seriously, than he burned that studio until killed dozen's worker,he should get his copyrighy claim for his novel. Not make mass murder.Im not know that news is right or not.But maybe it is real news.😢The revenge can't solve the problem. But,make it become very big trouble.
I cried for the third time today, but I felt like watching this because it felt important to me. If Kitauji highschool can bounce back, so can they! Best of luck to them. ❤
08:57 Thanks man What you felt about Yuuta and Rikka in Chuunibyou was me when Kyon had to choose between the normalcy he offhandedly remarked as what should be...and the bizarre goofy childlike adventures he actually wanted. His decision at the end of Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya I attribute to being THE reason I’ve stuck with anime to this day, and it wouldn’t have happened if Kyoani didn’t put so much work that even thru a lowres camrip I could feel that power slide over me. For that and so much more, I’ll be thankful of Kyoani.
My first show from them was Chuunibyou a simple slice of life but once you get into it it's so beautiful.. I then moved on to others like Haruhi suzumiya to the absolutely beautiful movies like a silent voice to more of the mundane slice of life's like Kobayashis dragon maid. The works that come out of this anime studio is just absolutely phenomenal
When the dango song started to play I started to cry. Kyoto animation must live! In the people that was apart of making such beautiful stories! And in the people like me who loved those stories so much!
Munto Air Kanon 06 Clannad Miss Kobayashi Hyuoka Full Metal Panic Euphonium Kyoukai no Kanata Violet Evergarden Some good some bad but a studio that knows how to capture you. As an anime fan I know Violet Evergarden Movie would be delayed or cancelled but as a human being I just hope that tragedies like this don’t happen at all not in any place of the Earth.
This. For once I actually feel the way someone put it. It's not ONLY sad as an anime fan because they made some (or many) shows you love, it's sad as a human because it was an unforeseen tragedy that happened to real people who were just routinely doing what they always did. And because things like this happen... a lot more frequently than they're recognized.
K-on was is and always will be my most favorite anime made by kyoani... Every episodes are treasures... Hope kyoani recovers... Kyoani's animes gave me hope... Every anime they made are all masterpieces I grew up watching their animation. Everytime i get depressed i watch their anime. K-on, violet evergarden and many more and then they give me hope. Wish the best for them...

I love KyoAni. They make not only stunning work, but also heart touching work. I think you can find more than a few of their work that either can help you through a rough time, or you can relate to. I love Koe no katachi, Beyond the boundary, and so many others of their shows that it broke my heart this morning when I found out this news. My thoughts and prayers to the animation studio, love ones of the people lost in that fire, to the injured, and to anyone else who is saddened by this news. I also hope that KyoAni is able to recover and I will be there to show my love and gratitude for this studio.
I was talking about how beautiful the vid was. I feel bad for the 33 people who died and 10 hospitalized, so I did kinda cry because of that too. Thanks for clarifying.
FffffffuuuuUUUUCKKK watching this made me cry. I I've only become a seen and only just found out of KyoAni BC of this fire. Should've got hooked on anime sooner damnit. I am now determined to watch all that they've produced. KyoAni has my condolences
I remember when Fumoffu was new. I was a cynical fan of many years, at that point, and it revived my flagging interest, providing the little boost that was needed to keep myself on the journey with what can be, at times, a frustrating form of entertainment. But one that I had chosen because it was not only different (to everything else on offer) but also that it resonated with me from a fairly early age. There are.... just no words I can use, to describe what I'm feeling now, other than "gutted", and I'm not even sure I've truly managed to take in these events, yet.
I've been a fan since a new little anime studio - Kyoto animation, gave us Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu way back in 2003... I've always been interested in the industry side of anime, but 2003 was the first time i saw the KyoAni name.. Then it was cemented in my mind as a top tier studio with The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Kanon, Lucky Star and Clannad the following years. But the moment they became the BEST anime studio in the world for me was the time from K-On!/Nichijou/Hyouka/Chunibyo demo Koi ga Shitai!/Tamako Market, right up until until the end of Kyokai no Kanata (Beyond the Boundary). It was like slowly falling in love with all the memories I'd made experiencing their work, and amazing art and storytelling, characters and sound design.. God I hope the people who survived and were affected by the tragedy - INCLUDING everyone not associated with KyoAni - heal and feel the love from all us millions of fans worldwide... I don't know if we will see more of their work after this, but I pray they carry on making the world a beautiful place to be through their craft. I love these people I've never met so damn much. Thank you KyoAni.
I love Kyoto Animation all the anime they make brings joy to my heart and some times tears to my eyes and that is why I love Kyoto Animation. My heart and soul goes out to the families that lost there loved ones.
Its been 2 months since the incident, but I gotta say that kyoto animations makes one of the most heart touching anime's out there. The only anime that has ever made me cry was Clannad because of how I related to some of the characters and how the problems they faced were the same as me. It made me reflect on myself and the issues I've dealt with the past few years and I can say that no one will ever beat kyoto animations. Same goes with a silent voice. I didn't cry, but I felt the emotion between the characters and the tone of their voices. Violet ever garden was an anime I never got to watch, but wanted to see so bad, and also saw small clips of it. The hard work they put through in the productions of them, from the voice acting, and animations, to the small details that hold deep meaning. It upsets me at how anyone could do this to a studio that has made one of the most classic anime's out there. My prayers are out there to the family and the victims who have lost their lives in a fire that could've been prevented.
This studio isn't only making us cry by the anime, but also making us cry by seeing their current circumstances. Rest in Peace to people in KyoAni who have passed away.
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya was the first KyoAni show I ever watched and the show that had originally introduced me to anime as a kid, and having watched everything now, it was such a weird and fun show with Kyon's sarcastic commentary and Haruhi's beyond eccentric eccentricness, I'll always love the Nagato vs Asakura fight too. Violet Evergarden was such an emotional rollercoaster, I'd never seen anything like it, the episode with the girl receiving multiple letters as she grew up made me wanna cry..it was such a beautiful show all the way through. I'm honestly devastated that this has happened to such a wonderful group of people who have made so many shows that are near and dear to people, I can only wish the best for the relatives of the deceased, and the best possible health of the ones that are injured, it's really a sad day for the anime community. Great video as always. Thanks for everything, Kyoto.
This was one of the most touching videos I have ever seen I have been so upset from what has happened and that people have lost there lives or are suffering from this tragedy this video truly brings some joy and that we should all just keep our heads up and help Kyoani in anyway we can👏🏼😭🌸
KyoAni will be back I know that they have they're own creativity will rise again please let us heal KyoAni and protect the building and the people inside there
I'm glad someone finally talked about this it's such a sad time for them and I can't imagine how many good animators or just good people died that's 30 people dead..
And here I am crying once again. Watching this and still seeing the tragedy in my feed hurts a lot. ...This studio has done so much for me and many other fans...I hope that the staff and their families can pull through all of this and that we as a community can help them through extreme times like this... On a milder lighter note....HOW CAN YOU NOT EXPECT ME TO CRY WHEN YOU PLAY DANGO DAIKAZOKU????
I loved violet ever garden I loved a silent voice I loved Kobayashi's dragon maid and I never even bothered to learn who made it but now that I know the people who made it gets hit with this it hurts a lot just remembering the emotions I felt watching theys and knowing it might be over hurts I hope it doesn't end I really hope they can push through this I hope for the best
Thank you Kyoto Animations.I have only watched A Silent Voice and some K-on.But it was amazing.Awesome animation.May those workers rest in peace and may those who survived have a speedy recovery.
I'm only halfway through the video but I am in tears. This is the most perfect video I have ever watched because everything you say is so true. KyoAni is an amazing studio full of insane talent. Nobody makes anime like KyoAni does, they're special. My heart was broken this morning upon hearing the tragic news, this studio that has brought us laughter, tears, and most importantly genuine happiness doesn't deserve to face such circumstances. I love KyoAni with all my heart. Thank you for making this video.
KyoAnimation had huge impact for those dreamers like me who started too liking animation course to work and experience the animation studios, and I hope that KyoAni will recover this tragic event they experiences.
Kyoto Animation is my favorite studio. I have been watching alot of KyoAni‘s work lately, like Kyokai no Kanata, Musaigen no Phantom, Amagi Brilliant Park, Hyouka, declaring them as my personal best animation studio. Idk but i keep imagining the staffs to be running for their life and some of them burning to death, even though everything they did was to work on the things they love, which gave alot of people smiles on their face.
Truly a tragedy. Full Metal Panic Fumoffu has a special place in my heart. It's the only anime I was able to get my mom to sit down and watch without her complaining, haha. I knew I had her when she asked on her own if we could watch the next episode.
I love this video I'm crying. I didn't even know all of these series were all made by kyoani because I never paid attention to animation studios when watching anime growing up but seeing title after title come up during the video just me cry because it made me feel like I really was looking for some common denominator even though I didn't know what I was looking for from a show at the time. They were so consistent that even without understanding the culture or where these shows came from I found each show individually and loved them all equally almost as one whole product without even realizing that they were actually made by the same people and if that's not amazingly diverse storytelling and style I don't know what is. I didn't pay attention and now I really wish I had.
K-ON! Was the first anime I watched as a kid, I watched it with my older sister who was already into anime, even though the TV channel I was watching it on was finishing off season 1 and I was in my home country, a few weeks later I went back home and searched K-ON! And watched the whole season 1. After that, I watched more anime. KyoAni introduced ME to anime ( and I NEVER thought that would happen ). Really sorry for what happened, I hope they recover soon, seeing that there's already a million+ dollars, hope they earn more to help them lots... Lots of love to them! 💝💖😪💗💕❤
I hope KyoAni can recover quick and keep putting out amazing anime. I watch so many animes put out by them and every single one is loved by me. The arson is a coward and I hope for a successful future for KyoAni
Thank you for everything kyoani Hope for all of the workers to rest in peace and others to live their lives happily again thank you for everything you changed my whole entire life and also others around me im am so grateful!
K-On helped me get through a really dark time and it had a huge impact on my life, helping to shape who I am today. I love kyoani and the quality of their products and the love that goes into creating every one of them is fantastic, what happened yesterday is so upsetting. My thoughts are with the families who lost loved one and those who are hospitalised right now.
I just hope KyoAni would make a full recovery. Things will never be same, but at least they could continue making art. They were my saviours. KyoAni always made me happy, always lifted me up from my sad days which was a common occurance for me. I remember my first KyoAni Anime, which was Clannad. That was something so beautiful, that Anime was the greatest thing I've ever watched. Only Violet Evergarden came close. Which was also made by KyoAni. I dearly hope its Movie made it through the fire. Violet Evergarden was like the greatest thing to happen to me in 2018. The OST was also beautiful to the point that I salvaged the Internet for the entire Automemories Album. The animation of that was just a piece of art frame by frame. I pray that they would make a full recovery and those who passed would be at peace.
This is the best anime studio I don’t care what anyone has to say. This studio has taught me a lot about love and life and many other things that I can say.
I'm literally crying right now, I can't imagine how much time they spend to make an anime and their results are always sticks to our hearts like koe no katachi, or violet evergarden...those anime touched and moved my heart, as an artist...their art style always been my goal...being able to work at this studio is my goal too, but after knowing the studio got an accident like this...I felt broken...on the recent news it said that their old file just gone, they were all burned...their hard work and 34 talented animators were gone...this is heartbreaking... rest in peace
God fucking damn. I hear the emotions in your words. Beautiful complex emotions that Kyoto animation does so well. Fuck I didnt think it was gonna hit me.
I found them because of Clannad😭 They brought me back from a very dark place because of Clannad. Now their pain is my pain now. We must pick up from the ashes and go on and be #KyoAniStrong
KyoAni seem to have a knack at including cut onions in their anime.....all of it.... And thank you for making 10 minutes of my life happy today #PrayForKyoAni
Anime has impacted me a lot over the last few years. My first Kyoto anime was Nichijou. It always made me feel better in times where I was at my lowest or when I was just bored. It's color and energy has brought me to life from feeling dead and has helped me in other ways I couldn't explain. They are a beacon, a golden example in the anime industry with not just anime, but how they treat their employees/animators as well, with them being paid better and being put in better working conditions than most of the anime industry. May the people who lost their lives forever rest in peace knowing how much they have positively made an impact for people and may those who were injured make a speedy and healthy recovery.🙏
A studio that has produced so many amazing shows, and raised the standards and ethics in the industry to a whole new level. It is so heartbreaking to see this impactful studio with talented, hardworking individuals being so devastatingly lost. I for now just hope that Kyoani will bounce back, but the future will be unknown for now.
Thank you for making this emotional video. I really hope more people could appreciate all these anime’s and see how much emotion and work they’ve put into them. Please support and donate/buy from their website! They have a special place in my heart and i hope others could see and feel that too!

One of the anime channels I watch regularly posted a response to this. It said they stole an idea for an anime from the arson guy.
@@alexisguillen8400 thats not a good enough reason to kill another person. Though I'm sure you know this already
@@alexisguillen8400 According to NHK he also has a mental ilness and prior charges.
I think it's more likely that he thinks they stole from him.
Either way. Killing 33 innocent animators is not a good way to prove you're in the right. Also it's time to look a building safty because that building was clearly not safe for fire in general. We'll probably get the full story in a few days when he's well enough to be questioned by police.
@@cizd That's even worse of an excuse. Stealing ideas? Mental illness? In my eyes, it's just a bunch of crap. Someone who thinks lives of others lightly, is just an absolute trash.
i didn't watch most of kyoAni's anime, but the ones that i watched made me some type of emotional way... i fucking THANK you for making a tribute video to a bunch of amazing animators.

I don't cry often, but damn man you really made me cry. This video was just the glimmer of hope I needed after all that happend today. Thank you.
Aww Becke I can just give you one big hug then fade away from your arms because my purpose to cheer you up had just been fulfilled
It was a kick in the gut when I heard what happened at KyoAni. It felt so personal since I loved their shows so much. May they continue making the best anime coming out of Japan. And you haaad to use the Dango Daikazoku music to make me really emotional T_T
for me it was a kick in the gut just hearing it was an anime studio, the news didn't say anything about what one, it wasn't till i looked it up i noticed they are the studio that do anime that occupies most of my top 10 anime list, if not all of my top 10
more like kick in the nuts for me
The burned building is Studio 1, the main production line.
If I recall correctly Studio 1 was also for training new staff.

Yes...
Dragon Maid and Violet Evergarden are the two anime I’ve watched that were produced by KyoAni Studios. It’s really sad and such about what happen to KyoAni Studios, literally. Thank you for the video, man.
My first experince with KyoAni was Chunnibyo and from then on they made them selves known to me as one of the best studios around

This is way to sad man
K-ON was my first KyoAni anime and almost all of my favourite animes come from KyoAni .
Thank you, KyoAni
I'm not crying or anything, idiot
*sheds a tear or two*
We truly don't deserve this, but regardless, i thank them for creating such meaningful stories, and likewise, i can't see the medium i adore so much without them, they are in my eyes the pedigree of story telling through animation.
All i can say is that i genuinely they can recover and bounce back with prosperity, but regardless they are my favourite animation studio too, and their work shall not be forgotten

What you felt about Yuuta and Rikka in Chuunibyou was me when Kyon had to choose between the normalcy he offhandedly remarked as what should be...and the bizarre goofy childlike adventures he actually wanted.
As soon as you play dango daikazoku I slowly began to tear up 😢
You know they've impacted your life when the music in the background makes you wanna tear up
When the dango song started to play I started to cry.
Kyoto animation must live! In the people that was apart of making such beautiful stories! And in the people like me who loved those stories so much!

Thanks for making kyoni great again.... We will always miss those stories and the people behind it ..!
YES ive been spreading the link to the gofundme page everywhere and donated myself some, i want to check out their website of their works too!

That A Silent Voice music track had me in tears 😭.
I hope they recover successfully and the dead rest in peace.
And the families will find closure
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya was the first KyoAni show I ever watched and the show that had originally introduced me to anime as a kid, and having watched everything now, it was such a weird and fun show with Kyon's sarcastic commentary and Haruhi's beyond eccentric eccentricness, I'll always love the Nagato vs Asakura fight too. Violet Evergarden was such an emotional rollercoaster, I'd never seen anything like it,
the episode with the girl receiving multiple letters as she grew up made me wanna cry..it was such a beautiful show all the way through.

My heart goes out to the families of the 33 people who were taken from this world in such a cruel and heart breaking way.
I loved violet ever garden I loved a silent voice I loved Kobayashi's dragon maid and I never even bothered to learn who made it but now that I know the people who made it gets hit with this it hurts a lot just remembering the emotions I felt watching theys and knowing it might be over hurts I hope it doesn't end I really hope they can push through this
I hope for the best

Its sad. I am in puerto Rico and along with the protests we are having Kyo ani also made front page of our local paper.
I knew I had her when she asked on her own if we could watch the next episode.
thank you so much for this.
A dear friend of mine his sister died in the fire.
It is a great pleasure to see how much people love KyoAni.
I wished for those who loves KyoAni's animation....... I wished that the anime storyboards that has been destroyed may be recovered.
As such life is fleeting so does the melancholic sentient emotions.
This time tho time shall not be reset.

Anime has impacted me a lot over the last few years. My first Kyoto anime was Nichijou. It always made me feel better in times where I was at my lowest or when I was just bored. It's color and energy has brought me to life from feeling dead and has helped me in other ways I couldn't explain.
