#18: Matt Weber, Alpha Overhead Door | What Does It Take To Scale A Family Business?

Hello Everyone! Welcome back to the Owner's Journal, Episode 18. Today we have Matt Weber on the show, and we talk about his journey taking over the family business and the lessons he’s learned building a successful and growing company along the way. Matt is the owner of Alpha Overhead door, with branches in Billings and Butte Montana.
Matt has “worked in doors his whole life,” hanging garage doors and learning the value of hard work since before he was a teenager. After growing up working in the family business and hanging doors to put himself through college, Matt returned to Billings and ended up taking over the family company, which he owns today.
Matt and his team have been able to multiply the revenue and success of their business since they’ve been at the wheel, and their growth has come with one of the most thoughtful approaches towards systems, communication, and people that we’ve had a chance to hear about.
In this episode we not only got a glimpse into some of the wisdom and knowledge that live on the Alpha Overhead office whiteboards, but we also got to hear Matt’s story that ranged from being homeschooled to having aspirations to have homes on 3 continents.
