I doubt that you will ever see this comment since you did this video 6.5 years ago, but I just saw this for the first time. I just love you - you are soooooo real!! Thanks for making me laugh (a lot) while I am learning from you. Keep the videos coming - you are very much appreciated!
I've watched a lot of home organising videos but i love yours cause apart from being practical in your ways, i love the happy way you talk to your audience. :)
i LOVE THAT YOU HAD THE PRINTABLE AND WEREN'T SELLING THEM. ITS HARD ENOUGH STARTING ONE WITH OUT HAVING TO PAY SO MUCH THIS IS WORKING GREAT FOR ME THANK YOU SO MUCH
Thank you for this! Inspired me to make my own household management binder! I'm very lazy and forgetful so I hope this helps me keep motivated and organized!
My binder is one of my favorite organization things, too. I did a video about mine at the beginning of the month, but I love to see what others have in theirs. I so need to make a photo copy of all of our IDs. Thanks for the tip!
This was probably one of the best home management binder videos I have watched, it's simple and seems easy to maintain it dosent have a ton of sections that would make it hard to keep up! I'm going to have to start making one for my family now that we just added to it!
I have been looking for a good video on how to get started on a home management binder for a few day, finally I find someone that breaks it down and inspires me to get started. Loved the video!
So helpful!! Alejandra @ Home Organizing put me on to poly envelopes with closures that fit into binders to keep all those papers, etc from falling out. It has been a life saver! (I am super clumsy!) Love your enthusiasm.
This is perfect ... I just started mine !!!I'm in the process of moving to new house .. Huh it's been a long journey .. Moved 10 times in 8 years .. Living in and out of cardboard boxes and suitcases, now that I have two kids I just have to start somewhere ...!! I love all your ideas .. Keep posting CAss .. Xx
I love the “in case if emergency” info in the front. That’s a great idea, I need to do it: I always worry that if something happens to me my family won’t know where important documents & general info would be.
Cass this is a great idea!!!! My hubby has been in a situation where I was seriously ill and recently fell I broke my right arm. I especially like the idea that keeping credit cards information in that binders too
I absolutely love love love your vids I live in uk and am sooooooo jealous of all your discount stores! We don't really have any! Boo hoo! But!!!!! I'm making the most of what we have! I adore how you've grown in your de cluttering and organising routines ( I have recently 'found' your vids!) and am working my way through them! I laugh out loud when I watch them at night in bed( with my ear phones in) and my husband always wants to know what's so funny!? Oh it's girl humour I say! Love it!!!!! Keep them a coming honey!!!!!
I'm making one of these today!! My baby was due march 29th and she's late. So I've been nesting like crazy and just been playing your videos while I'm cleaning to keep me motivated when I really just want to sit on the couch haha
sorry to hear about you wallet being stolen that really sucks..i remember years ago i went to a gas station to fill my tank and i left my wallet on top on my car and drove off and a couple miles down the road someone yelled at me to pull over lol it was so embarrassing but i am so happy i didn't lose it.
So happy to see a new post! You always inspire me to get my binder back out and figure out why I don't use it! Great tips. Could you share your daily and weekly cleaning lists? Your home is lovely and you have such good energy!
Hi Cass, greetings from NYC! I made one up after watching your earlier videos about one and OMG, it's the best ever. I am single, live alone, so no family and kids stuff. I have the medical, financial, take out, emergency sections too. I punched holes in a manila evelope and keep my birth certificate, SS card and passport in it. I was forever misplacing them. Not anymore! This is so helpful for all those papers that don't have a home clutter!! Thanks for the idea. You look fantastic, tres chic! :) Love the videos!!
I started out with a similar system but over the years refined it. Look up bullet journaling on you tube.(you'll like it) So I use that because in a moleskine journal the size is portable and neat. And then a nice smallish Martha Stewart binder in pretty aqua for routines etc. I am going to do the photocopy thing but I put most of my important stuff in a fireproof safe. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the suggestions, I am home for medical leave and this is a great idea of a project I can do while I recover. The thing is, if you like indiego so much, why don't you just laminate one, use the other ones and get a non permanent marker to write on? That way you keep the great structure. Make it on a 8 1/2 x 11 sheet, get holes punched and you can add it to your binder.
On the parents medical part, DO THIS. This past summer, I was visiting my great grandma, whom was in a coma. Then, my grandpa had a stroke. My mother had no info on medicine or anything to text me ( I was visiting with my grandpa by myself) So, I had to tell the doctors what I knew about him.
this was a lot more helpful than other videos like this. thx for posting it even tho your stuff kept falling out. this gave me good ideas, esp. for keeping stuff off the kitchen walls
holy moly! You are my new inspiration. Im so excited to start this. I wish your children were older so I would have your chore/ reward list for your children , I need ideas:) Thanks for doing these videos!
That book would overwhelm me! 😂 I'm easily overwhelmed which is why I need one of these. Lol. I'm going to make one but I won't exactly be putting all that in there... (Restaurant menus etc...) Great idea and I love your channel! You give me hope! 😂😂 New subscriber! Thanks!
I kept something like this when my kids were little. Now they are grown and on their own, I no longer have it. I need to make another for just my husband and I. Good idea. Thanks.
Question...I have ADD and how do you remember to always look at your binder as to what appointments and invites you may have. I use to carry a planner with me and I found it more of a purse clutter than anything. I can not remember to refer to my schedule and the phone don't work either. Any suggestions?
I thought I needed to buy more planners and calendars to help me but then I had too many to keep up with lol. I would use my magnetic dry erase board on my fridge, my wall calendar, phone to remind me and maybe post its in your car or mirror lol. Seriously.
Hey I know this is old but I wanted to share what I do. I have really bad memory problems, my nature I am disorganized and a procrastinator. But people would never know it because I have managed to micromanage myself to combat it. I have a "family command center" with 3 white boards with a calender, to do list board/shopping list etc, kids chores list and weekly menu. Then I have my personal planner with all the same info plus my budget and info kids or visitors dont need to know in that planner. That goes everywhere with my in a tote bag in the car or purse etc. Then all the same info goes into my phone and any paperwork I'll need I take a pic with cam scanner app and upload into google drive into labeled folders
You are amazing! Love your videos! I too am trying to become an "organized clutterbug". I just don't know where to put things so I can find them. All those darn papers!! This is a fantastic video. I got a lot of inspiration! Thanks a bunch!
I just started one yesterday, repurposing an old binder, some photo album pages with the acid protector sheets, and a bunch of plastic sleeves. Tge furst thing I put in there was a re ipe I wrote down for yesterday's dinner. Over this weekend, I will work on my routines and my zone cleaning session. And I'm judt hoing to build as I go, and let the vision of how I want things irganised yo v9me yo me as I add things. If zi tried to create the whole heneral thing at once, my brain will implode 😂. Aldo, I repurposed an old hand batlg 6estwrday, and it's now my purse/portable vommand center. I have a thin notebook, my calendar, can fit my tablet in yhere if I need it, and...wait for it...a brain dump journao! Yes, your video on having a brain dump journal ieot naghing at my brain for months! And my hubby just bought me a new journal. I decided not to use it as a personal journal, but a brain dump journal. The things I put in there are going to be invaluable in telling me brain how to organise my control journal. I uae both digital and written planning and organising, but I do 't have a strong fou dation for the written sydtem, because of over, thinking too much about how to set ut up. I mean, the amount of time it would take to get it all set up huts my brain to thonk about. But I need to create my own to avoid the limitations of using someone else's lists and categories. Just adding things as I ho. And labeling a new category every time an added thing doesn't fit into an existing category, will probably be way easier for my brain to handle, than creating tge qhole thing all at onxe.
Hi really love the Household Management Binder!! Especially for me i'm from Singapore and it is not really a practice here to have a Management Binder but i hv it n i'm LOVING it!!! Oh ya just to share, i use those pockect folder with valcro or button attachment so things that can lil bit bulky won't fall out. Anyways love watching all of your videos and can't wait for more...
Yes I am watching this in January 2017, but it is exactly what I was looking for! Everything else I had see was too childlike, too pretty. We're mom's we need to have it together, it doesn't matter if it's pretty. Thanks for the tip about photo copying ID's and insurance cards! I also like the idea of using dry erase markers, perfect for things that could change as well.
Great idea on making a copy of the wallet contents. Plus the “in case of disaster” for parents list. I will definitely be doing that. On the notepads that you love, why don’t you slip one of those pages in the plastic sleeve and wipe that? That way you use less but still can use the ones that you like?Cute and environment friendly.
I LOVE this video! I love lists as well...I don't have enough memory to remember every. single. thing. that is going on or will go on in our lives. But writing things down helps to clean up my mind clutter. ;) That way when I go to bed at night I'm not thinking of the million things that need to be done or remembered...hahahaha. I saw somewhere else online that there are now page protectors that close at the top. :)
Also for budgeting the app Mint is great. It is free has a really good mobile and desktop version. It's automatically updated abd emails you alerts and reminders.
Thank you very much for all these printables. As I live in France and have no more young kids, I will modify some of them but I can use most of them as they are. Trying to get organizeddddd! So thanks a lot :)
Lots of good ideas here. No kids here but I can use a lot of this. I'm thinking a pocket for coupons too esp. when more than one person does the shopping.
I just found your channel and this video was very helpful. I'm trying to start a home management binder for my little family and this really gave me great ideas! Thank you :)
Let me say I love your videos! I'm just a kid that wants to be organized but I think I would like to make a binder like this one for my family. Do you have any tips?
I’m, sadly, too lazy to do all that a bunch of this is already on my iPad! LOL! My daily routines and cleaning stuff is in a tiny folder like this though and its awesome to have at my fingertips. I also have a section for my brain dump doodles in there. I hadn’t even thought about tucking my receipts there but I love that idea! I do need to do an in case of emergency section though so thanks for those great tips and push in the right direction! Great video!
I love your videos they are so inspiring and I love that your girls share a room bc your videos of your girls room are help me plan out my girls soon to be shared room.. ;)
Your so funny,I Love your diy's such great ideas. This is something I totally need! Thank you so so much for sharing this going to start on mine today,I'm so unorganized and this will help me and my family! thank you again have a great day 😃
Love this idea of binding things together but one big question!!! Where will you keep that binder so you remember to pull that out handy when you need it?? (lol)...like for a forgetfull person like me ,i will definitely forget that i have to manage my binder if its not handy..thanks for sharing.
This was SO GOOD! Thank you! I had to push pause at 6:04 and run to my binder, because I have totally forgotten January and February birthdays. (I'm late for my aunt.) It seems I try to be together, but have super fails. Thanks for the inspiration. You are amazing!
Awesome idea to make photo copies of I.D cards etc. One other thing I think I will do is make a second copy and put them in our fire/water proof lock box. If, God forbid, there was ever a fire that information would still be safe. Great video...love home management binders!!!
I doubt that you will ever see this comment since you did this video 6.5 years ago, but I just saw this for the first time. I just love you - you are soooooo real!! Thanks for making me laugh (a lot) while I am learning from you. Keep the videos coming - you are very much appreciated!

We're only 3 mins in, and my husband is concerned you may not be on schedule if this wasn't figured in.
This was probably one of the best home management binder videos I have watched, it's simple and seems easy to maintain it dosent have a ton of sections that would make it hard to keep up! I'm going to have to start making one for my family now that we just added to it!

This is perfect timing, I was trying to make a household binder myself anyway and this is a huge help. Thank you!
So useful! I didn't know about Household Management Binder!! By the way, I love each time you drop things from the folder on the video!! Thank you!!

Mine is almost the same. Good idea about your parents!!
Great idea on making a copy of the wallet contents. Plus the “in case of disaster” for parents list. I will definitely be doing that. Awesome idea to make photo copies of I.D cards etc. One other thing I think I will do is make a second copy and put them in our fire/water proof lock box. If, God forbid, there was ever a fire that information would still be safe. Great video...love home management binders!!!
Excellent regarding cleaning so you never have to scrub.
I started the "if I croak and get hit by a bus" section, to be prepared. It's a good idea.
